    Hello, I'm a time traveler from almost three years in the future. I have one of these spiffy watches, but it doesn't have any gasket for the caseback. The caseback also won't stay on. These statements are presumably related. Can you point me at where I can find a replacement gasket? Google is useless because I get nothing but people selling watches, and parts for Bison brand coolers.

    I have an Etermatic 1000 with this very same movement, and the click spring has pinged away never to be found again 😞 Trying to fold a new one didn't work, I have nothing like it in my box of spares and am stuck. Where would one buy such a cliskspring? Apart from that it's a beautiful movement!

    Great job overall and I really like that dial! I know nothing of Benrus' history, but that movement looks distinctly not Japanese and has many hallmarks of being Swiss. Except maybe the keyless, the joke spring is a shape I have not seen before. What makes you say it's a Seiko dericative? Keep up the good work, I had to search for an hour yesterday to find your channel again, Google isn't offering me your videos 😞

      Thank you. Yes, I know, the algorithm doesn ́t help me.......... The history of the Benrus is quite complicated, over the years calibers of different origins have been mounted, including Japanese calibers.

      @@Umberto710 The watch was sold about a year ago. If you search on Ebay you will find many Certina ds for sale. I wouldn't spend more than €250 for a model in good condition. I would only buy an original one. Happy searching!

    I have disassembled one of these and I'm watching a few similar assembly videos. This is by far the clearest and best photographed. Thank you. I got this watch for my 18th birthday and I'm now 72 and just taken up watch repair. It has been in a drawer, broken, for 35-40 years. I had to buy a new hour wheel because there were teeth missing. I guess I was too rough with it at some point when it jammed. I can't see any other damage.

    Proprio come hai descritto! L ultima spira della spirale toccava l altra leggermente, adesso tutto a posto, solo da regolare un po'. Per la posizione di partenza farò riferimento al video che hai postato. Grazie ancora!

      @@simonepitzalis3545 Ciao Simone, no non è normale, il bilanciere deve oscillare liberamente. Probabilmente l'ultima spira della spirale ha preso "una brutta piega". Di conseguenza quando muovi la racchetta di regolazione la spirale viene tirata o allargata eccessivamente andando a toccare il bilanciere che conseguentemente riduce le oscillazioni rendendo la marcia irregolare.

    Thank you. One thing to mention is that both the crown wheel and ratchet wheel screws are left hand threaded on this movement. Ratchet wheel screw probably wasn't seized at all.

      The yellow seal is used to lock the movement, without it the movement moves inside the case. I don't know if it also has a watertight function. Unfortunately I don't have the reference, the watch has been sold.

    Did You ever think about using denture cleaner on the dial ? It could hide a lot of the green cracks .

    This case did not have any polished finishes. The edge of the case was brushed horizontally and the rest had a deeply grained finish done with a lapping machine. It’s a bit of a shame seeing overpolished watches.

      Sorry but it's the first time I've disassembled this Omega model. I didn't know it had brushed edges. Someone had already polished it before me. This isn't a bad thing, the brushed finish can be redone at any time, even without a lapping machine. Regards

      Initially I wrote seca in the title, then someone corrected me by saying it's called leca. Now you say that the brand is called seca. I don't understand anything anymore.....🤪
