April, have you tried Mychorrizae fungi with your pants in soil? It’s sold in powder and granules. I don’t know if you can use it with plants in pon…if anyone knows chime in. It’ll help your plant grow stronger healthier roots and I feel it helps with transplant shock. Love your pilea! My Jacklyn is officially dead. 😢 My El Choco is doing well, I have it in soil along with my Thais & Albos. My daughter found the prettiest Thai at her local grocery store for $30 and the variegation was beautiful and even. I don’t think she needed it but she fell in love with it and it jumped into her grocery cart. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I have not been so lucky but I hate grocery shopping.

If you can get a hook into the wood behind the drywall, it should be very secure for hanging. I use a stud finder. If I miss the stud with the drill, I just patch up the hole with drywall mud. Really pretty plant! Interesting how you use different substrates.

I'm attempting to do the same with one of my Monstera cuttings but I wasn't sure if it would grow better with soil or Leca. After watching your video I see how well your Monstera cuttings are doing. I’m still trying to figure out the M Peru as well, the prop I have is in water, been there for months, finally getting roots. See if I can put it in with my momma plant. Some just do better in water. Yes you reuse moss! If it’s full of algae or gnats you can boil it, otherwise I reuse it as is, maybe after a spray of hydrogen peroxide if I’m a lil concerned

Hi April! I propagate my Monstera Albo or Thai in water but I let the cut callous for a couple of hours before I put it in water, otherwise it will rot. My Jacklyn is toast…I’m giving up on her. My Verrucosum is also toast…seems like I’m constantly treating her for spider mites. Annoying. I too have a 50/50 propagation success propping my Peru in moss. I reuse my moss a couple of times unless it has algae, then I boil it to clean it. I also reuse some of my soil…I have a bin for used soil and I use hydrogen peroxide with water to clean it and kill any gnat babies that might be in it. You can also bake your soil but who has time for that. I love that little round table you’re using, it’s cute!

Hi April, u can sure reuse the moss, just boil it and your good to go.

I have my Verrucosum growing up a rope 1/2 size, I have hanging. I place some knots in the rope. No direct light or lamp light shining on it. Right now it’s pretty. But If I move it, it began to drop leaves. 🪴Happy Planting🌿

Hey April - I’ll have to try moss to root my monstera peru as I have not been successful at all. I have seen people boil the moss in order to reuse ♻️

Hiya April. I too have had trouble rooting Monstera Peru. Intake months to root for me and some comet but be patient. Once they start to take off then it roots quickly.

April. Don’t throw out the ones that did not root. Put them in water, wait and see them grow.

I actually never propagated in moss, it’s either do water when I have the patience or soil directly in summer, or when the plant can withstand draught e,g cacti, monsteras, etc. Great video as always ❤️🫶

How do you stop the leaves from turning yellow? Is it supposed to turn yellow? I saw a short with a yellow leaf. I cut the leaf thinking it was yellowing while a new leaf was coming in. It is currently in Pon with extra pumice, but perhaps I should put it in fluval until she gets bigger. The other Alocasias are thriving though. I use Great White, King Crab, and fertilizer but maybe the PON is not best for it. Thanks in advance.
