Let me ask this question, opening a store is this something a Prime minister of Jamaica should be doing?

The Jamaican building code needs to be revamp and abandoned. Cayman use the Florida model and it's no weaker than Jamaican buildings . Jamaican bent in their outdated ways. Cutting a foundation steel 15 feet is outdated. In Florida you put the blocks over the steel instead of cutting side of the blocks as we do in Jamaica. When you cast the footing and and put in electrical and plumbing and other utilities cast the floor it's good. Jamaican building style is a waste of time

Yes, there's benefits from traveling and learning however, the lifestyle of Jamaicans are different. Give people quality; not all that glows is quality. Time to get out of that poverty style yes, however you should go to the trailer parks that glows but will get blown away by a wind storm. Also to another viewers point, many people in the USA will buy a house and never use the house like Jamaicans do. I'd rather a solid Jamaican house without glow than a rich man castle, I must also note, Jamaicans value independence on their property, many of these USA developments are glamorous prisons, you can do this you can't do that. At the end of the day it takes away from character then you get this carbon copy look all over

American house they lay out a platform with all the floor plan while Jamaica house we do foundation and fill block pockets and do solid column not make shift lintel

Am watching your video with Florida and Jamaica yes they looking good but they are not solid those blocks don’t have any steel and the block pockets don’t fill with concrete Jamaican buildings start from foundation but American houses don’t have foundation because the country have sand soil in America

Building in jamaica is stronger.

Jamaica is stronger, but America is on top of their game with code. I work construction in both plcs. Certain aspects of the carpentry like door jambs, roofing, floor joycing, etc. America uses regular pine while Jamaica uses wolmanize (treated).. i believe the use of untreated in America is to support the tent industry in long term. Tenting is where ur home insurance relocates you temporarily while drape your entire house using a big ass tent claiming they're fumigating your house from termites.

They are more perfect on their building skills but in Jamaica it is more stronger

Sir! WestLake is NOT in West Palm Beach.. it’s in the City of WestLake.. or loxahatchee ..it’s a planned development community. And very beautiful. The builders have a strict building codes due to hurricanes ..they do not cut corners, everything has to be approved. No underhanded dealings like you have in Jamaica.. the houses in Florida are strongly built. And in my opinion better than In Jamaica. You could have tour several of their models home completely designed anyone can go in there and view them and also video so you should’ve also done that.. Westlake is not that new of a development it’s just a very large project and being done in phases. As a Jamaican who purchased a new build home in the US and attended building on In Jamaica the experience is Day and Night!!!
