Armor Longfins Bag Review

We review the Armor Longfins mesh bag in this video. This is a great bag for keeping your freediving equipment safe and organized. It is made in the USA, is made entirely of mesh and has two (2) heavy duty zippers. I was able to put a pair of longfins, wetsuit, mask, snorkel, flash light, weightbelt, gloves, and throw flashers in it. In my personal bag I have everything listed above PLUS I also...

Maintenance Minute-Oiling Your Speargun
Просмотров 7 тыс.3 года назад
In this quick video I'll cover some of the ways I keep my personal spearguns in tip-top shape. In particular, we'll be coating nicks, dings, and scratches with a little teak oil to hide wear and tear and protect the speargun. OK, maybe the video is longer than a minute but taking care of you speargun doesn't have to take all day! if you take a couple of minutes every few trips and oil your spea...

Should be...Sorry about the slow response.
Where do you purchase your teak speargun blanks?
Did you ever find a source for Teak? I had a major supply issue for awhile but I think I've gotten a handle on it and might be able to get something sent out depending on how much and what you are looking for.

Hi, what is the best way to balance a speargun?
Awesome video. Thank you for being so informative! Enjoyed learning.
Bagi 1 bang😁😁
Hi, can I use 2 x 16mm bands on a 7mm shaft?it's a 130cm spear gun I'm making with a 160cm 7mm shaft.
Yep, I personally use 14mm bands but I rig most of our longer guns (110+) with 16mm bands. I would only use two bands though as three will simply overpower the shaft and you will lose accuracy.
@@killshotspearguns2522 OK, my measurement was wrong. I thought the length of the gun was the entire stock. It's a 110 I made. How do I get the correct length of the bands?
Hi brother, there are some variables so there is no exact rule. It depends. Do not overpower a 7mm shaft. It will oscillate when fired and it will kill shooting range. 'Less' can be better lots of time. Also the stretching and size of bands will depend also on the ability (or comfort) to be able to load a gun. You might even go for a thicker but shorter shaft. Less bend, less oscillation, similar weight - maybe even better range. For your 160cm @7mm shaft you can easily use smaller size bands. For 14mm (small ID) bands you might like a 65cm rubber. Nice to load and good acceleration. Test the gun on accuracy after - so it is known how it shoots. Save dives!
@@DeepBlueSpirit2 I will try the 14 mm bands. I find the 16mm and have my chest sore and I am wearing a 3mm wet suit.
Sir I'm Norman from philippines.i want to buy a speargun.killshot speragun like what I seen in your video.and sir how much it cost for that?.
Sorry Norman, I actually don't make those anymore. I still build epoxy enclosed tracks which are really nice though.
How can I get your speargun
Ed, great video. Subscribed. Question for you. What rough and finished dimensions are you going for when making a blank?
Good question. I usually make the first cut approx 1/4 inch larger than the final dimension of the blank. I take off approx 1/8" when squaring (from 2 sides). Once I have 2 good sides I cut it so that I have approx 2-3mm extra and take that off with the planer. The planer allows me to be very exact and keeps the sides parallel to each other.
Hey. Looking to build my first gun and having trouble find the teak blank from Neptonics. If I end up buying a piece of teak and cutting my own, what is a standard width of a gun blank?
hey Adog4368...Depends on what you want to build. Most of the guns I build are 42-44mm x 32-34mm. My bluewater blanks are 2.25" x 1.75" You can certainly cut it down thinner but at some point you will have the wood will begin to flex and Flex is BAD.
Very informative. Thank you
Where can I buy the kit from?
What type of paint did you use?
Hw can I bring that wood shok in Trinidad 🇹🇹
Pls don't forget to do the reel guide or how it works + setting it up & measurements to fit to gun thx from South Africa
Hi Ed just watched you video enjoy it, what watch are you wearing in the video looks cool
I have a Garmin MK1. Awesome dive watch. It tracks every dive, I can set multiple alarms for depth and time, and it vibrates (I can't hear the alarm in the water.) It also has GPS which tracks every dive and it interfaces w my phone so I can see txt, phone, and emails as they come in w/o picking up the phone. It's expensive but I love it.
@@killshotspearguns2522 thanks for the info Ed hope to be back down soon
