Planing a Wood Slab

In this stop motion video I'm leveling the a Tamarind slab using a router sled. The slab has a pretty fiberous core which doesn't really cut as much as it tears which is a little problematic. But I'm going to use it to make a couple of "river" tables for the house. The plan is to cut it down and make two matching end tables using a turquoise and dark blue resin mixture.
I'll make a future video to show how I set up the planing sled and fences. So on days where I'm not making spearguns I'm usually in the shop building furniture.
