5:06 Isn’t the first rule of diving never to touch the reef?!
Thanks for your comment.
In 68 it most beautiful 😢
Its a 😅dead reef
I am Bahamian,This is absolutely beautiful footage ❤❤❤😊
Thanks for the nice words. I am glad you enjoyed it.
19:50 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Great video! I love all the information, only thing is that jaques cousteau never came to Cozumel, there are no records of the calypso ever entering Cozumel waters, but that has been used as publicity for the island for years.
First of all, thank you so much for your nice words. Second, you are correct. It was a rumor that people passed along that became sort of "appealing truth" to promote the island. There is a series of links mentioning that he mentioned it, but I found this page (again, I am not sure which is accurate), but this page gives a good chronology about where the confusion came from. everythingcozumel.com/the-documentary-of-cozumel-that-jacques-cousteau-never-made/ I will keep digging more in the future and see if I can find some formal documentation.
What an INCREDIBLE video! I’m a new diver and this has really sold me on livesboards :-) Thank you!
Thank you for the good words. I am glad you liked it and you are right. As a diver, you can’t go wrong with a live-aboard experience.
i noticed you guys changed from split fins to regular fins for the drift dive? does that mean you guys bring on board more than a pair of fins?
Hello. I am not sure about people changing fins for specific dives, but there is extra gear on the boat as a backup. Maybe someone had issues with their main fins and had to use the backup.
Wonderful Videos! Thank you for sharring! Can I ask video gear you are using underwater?
Thank you for the nice words. I mainly use a GoPro for the videos. I have flip filter that I change depending on the depth. There is one for shallow and one for deeper than 25 feet. the GoPro is sitting on the top of a "Photo" camera housing. For night diving, I obviously do not use the filters since I use video lights. I hope this helps.
@@KarimLounesDiving That does help. Thank you for the reply!
Just found your channel. Best dive videos on RUclips by far. Well done, sir!
Great video, I've been out of the water for a few years, but getting ready to get back into some underwater adventures. I've been out with Olympus twice and both times mother nature did not allow for the U boat but we did get to do the Spar and the Papoose.
Thank you. I want to go back with them, too. I need to redo a better video last time my camera got unhooked and I had to throw away most of the footage.
There you can just take 17 dollar ferry with fins and snorkel and mask and just drift down the wall edge, you see the same thing and Klein Bonaire little island ferry will give you a nice lunch for $12 more, you guys did Klein Bonaire the hard and expensive way, no need to. I shore dove all over too
And they say $$ cant buy happiness😂
Then I shouldn't mention living in Bali, where nitrox tanks for shore dives are $5 delivered to the site 😂 😂 😂
Absolutely beautiful! So much color and life, I kept expecting to see Ariel around the corner. How deep were most of your drives?
Thanks for the positive feedback. The deepest we have been on the dives we did was less than 65 feet, but the bottom off the wall is over a 100 feet, anyone could venture down deeper, But they would need to end their dive earlier and remain the surface while the others continue diving. Hope this helps.
What killed everything, Suntan lotion?
I appreciate how you both depict and elucidate the underwater life, with each fish having its own unique story to tell rather than just a plain view. Scuba diving is not just about swimming underwater; it's about gaining a better understanding of the life within it.
Diving truly transports you to a different world; everything is fascinating to see.
Just sitting here looking at this video saddened by how are corals are dying yet we still find ways to make money off of the scenery but won’t collectively invest in trying to restore them …
Can you elaborate on the equipment you used to create this great video?
GoPro Hero Black 7. Underwater housing for the GoPro. Backscatter filters. The camera was plugged on the top of my Aquatica D500 housing that I was using to shoot photos. I mostly use GoPros to shoot videos underwater. Aerial photography: DJI drone
Thank you for the quick reply and all the videos you share
Great video but it looked like they were anchoring on top of the reef ?
Not only many of the sites have mooring lines, but all the dives we have started were in a sandy bottom around the reef. Thanks for watching and thanks for your concerns.
ES ESPECTACULAR.!! UN SUEÑO UNIVERSAL!!! 👌👌👌👌👌⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ CSG BS AS ARGENTINA 🇦🇷 💙🤍💙🤍💙🤍
Thank you for creating your video. I thoroughly enjoyed watching it all the way through. Normally, I don't care for narrated videos but your voice was soft and soothing making it a good listen! Thanks again! We are the AquaCat in November and really looking forward to the trip!!!
Thank you so much for the nice words. I am glad you enjoyed the video. I am sure you’ll enjoy the experience. I did, and will most likely go back there at some point.
@@KarimLounesDiving We have been wanting to go on the AquaCat for a long time and now it is going to happen - can't wait for November!!! 😄
Will be planning our dives for Memorial day weekend. It would be great to RV there and stay get about 4 dives in.
U576 is also in NC
Hows this boat for solo travelers/divers?
I was a solo traveler on this boat when making this video. The group was so good, it felt like a family after just one day together. If your question is about diving solo, I am not sure exactly how it works , but you certainly are tied to a schedule since you won't be able to dive while the boat is moving from a site to another. There always are dive guides who ask divers if people are going to follow or just dive as buddies on their own. Divers need to get back on time obviously so they can move the boat to the next dive site. As long as you follow the guide, you don't have to have a specific buddy, I guess. You may shoot them the question via their agency's site: Search Allstar Liveaboards.
I am going to Molasses reef in a couple days. This video really helped me learn about the fish and wildlife on the reefs. Thanks!
Thanks for leaving a comment. Glad it was useful to you.
I really enjoy the soft music and the narration telling us what the different fish and animals are.
Great selfie footage of you in the washing machine. Keep up the good work… or play!!
Thank you. You’re right; it is more playing than anything else. :)
Coral looks great
No they don’t a lot of them are dying due to pollution from the boats
Looks a lot like what we saw in the Bahamas. Thanks for posting this. My wife and I will probably dive Key Largo later this year after Philippines.
How long filefish take to Big 6 inches?
Yes, that sounds about right according to Google.
I miss Bonaire. What gear are you using for underwater videography?
For videography, I use GoPro with flip filters.
Yet another OUTSTANDING Karim Lounes video production!!!! THANKS FOR SHARING!!!!
Karim, are you down there *NOW* diving Bonaire? I was there last summer and was sad to learn of the Stony Coral Tissue Disease that is killing off corals at a surprising rate ... and requiring disinfecting ALL dive gear in heavily chlorinated rinse tanks after each dive so as not-to-potentially-transport the disease to as-yet unaffected dive sites. Also, how has the oil spill from Tobago affected Bonaire's diving -- only on the windward eastern side of the island? Have a great time!!!!
Yes, I have heard. Parts of Bonaire's east coast, including Sorobon, Lac and Lagun, have been contaminated with oil, and vulnerable mangrove, fish, and coral ecosystems are at risk, the government said in a statement on Monday, 26th 2024. The government has not declared a state of emergency but has advised visitors to avoid the polluted locations. On Social Media platforms, divers seem to still enjoy the dive sites and in their videos and comments, the sites seem to be healthy. Need to keep monitoring the situation.
Are those divers advanced cert? If yes, some were...hmmm
Some are advanced, but for others, it was their first open water dive after certification.
beautiful video Karim, very enjoyable watch🐐🐐
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it.
Karim, I'm returning for my third time to dive AQUA CAT at the end of June. I revisited this video and, once again, I am amazed at how well you capture the entire experience! I look forward to seeing you around Blue Octopus Scuba's new location! All the Best! (P.S.: I've been a subscriber for over a year since viewing this video the first time! 😃 )
Thank you. Yeah see you around. I am planning a little underwater photography and videography seminar at the new location sometime soon. We will send the invite and hope to get folks to do some workshops. See you soon!
Hello again Karim. Great video as expected. I just came back from Cozumel and did my very fist diving video. I used Insta360 X3 camera with underwater aftermarket hosing to film on the boat as well as the first seen in the water. The rest of the footage was ruined by the housing. The rest of the dive was done with the SeaLife Micro 3.0 with two powerful light, which overexposed some parts of the video. I can use some pointers. Thanks. ruclips.net/video/c-uiTPfRz8c/видео.html
Thank you for the kind words. I watched your video. I think you pointed to some of the issues already in your comment. I was impressed by the stability of the Insta360 X3 when you were on the boat and when walking to get in the water. The 360 cameras do better on land in dry environments. Once the housing gets wet, and when you take the camera underwater with that housing, the results have not been great, not just in your case, but we have tried some 360 cameras and didn't give a great result, either. The 360 Videos are cool, especially the ones where you can post the video and have the users rotate and look around not just to give them the final edit, but to shoot a good quality production, they don't seem to do well underwater. The SealLife, on the other hand, did better underwater. Shooting video in the daylight with lights is a bit tricky. The camera did not know how to adjust, thus the overexposed corals and bluish colorless backgrounds. I still recommend either a GoPro or a DJI Osmo Action with a filter for underwater videos. Those do much better for almost the same budget. Hope this helps.
@@KarimLounesDiving Thank you for your feedback. I have a brand new Insta360 Ace Pro, which is supposedly an improved version of GoPro. I'm going to use it with filters and no external light on my next diving trip. Definitely want to see the results. Thanks again for the tips.
Video is excellent. You have a great speaking voice. However, the narration is over the top. It seems like every time you speak, you are being so dramatic. I am writing this @14:51 in the video and thinking about exiting. Will probably just mute and watch. Because the video is so good.
Thank you for the feedback. Will de better the next time hopefully. Thank you for watching, too.
Stunning video. 😮 I luv all your videos. What resort did you stay in?
Thanks for your support. For this trip, I stayed at the Allegro Cozumel. They have the dive center on the premice.
Great video as expected. Do sea wasps penetrate the 3mm wetsuit? Thank you.
Thanks for the comment. Usually, the water temp is too warm to wear a suit, but you should be good if you wear a 3mil, gloves and hood :)
The music is too loud!!! Ruined this! Ur supposed to turn it down once the voiceover starts, how are we supposed to hear commentary?!! It drowns out the voice over! I actually wanted to hear the voice over but the music is too loud! What a pity the person editin this video done that. Spoiled the watchin pleasure as nobody wants blaring music in their ears just to try n hear the voiceover!
Thank you for your feedback.
Feel free to make you own video.
