Hi Mary and yes exposed plastic pipe in the temps and sunlight will degrade any plastic piping which is why I would go with copper piping that’s rated for beneath ground,then a filtration system with a uv light hook up. I do all my plumbing and fixing things at my home ,but being in Costa Rica with no tools with me it would be very frustrating. To know how to fix ,but no tools to do the job. I will be visiting a community not far from Quepos September 1/24. If in the area let’s meet and have a coffee as I’m Canadian if you have the time I love to buy you a coffee and talk with you.

I find it amazing that not torturing and killing animals for personal pleasure makes people “crazy” vegans. We just choose not to participate in causing unnecessary suffering and speak up for those who do not have the ability to do so. Up to this point, I have genuinely appreciated your channel because you also showed the struggle of living off grid. Although, I never appreciate people abusing animals for personal gain though. I lost my dog of 9 years in May/24 and I definitely know what you are going through. My house is so empty and quiet now and my walks are lonely. If I decide to move to Costa Rica I will see if a stray comes my way like what happen with you & puppy then I’ll have my new companion. Sorry for your loss Gringa,but you gave puppy a great life.

Water on car top good idea. Oil your machete and if you conserving water wash in a pot with sponge. More effecient water usage...

4x4 and go thru fast. If it is too high and pushes you down stream, keep going but open both doors and let the water flow through the cabin. That way it doesn't push you further down. Never back up if your exhaust pipe is underwater. One thing you do not want is water in your engine. That's why some people have the air intake rigged up high so water doesn't get up into the engine. 🌊

Be super careful that crap is very dangerous,, I suggest a few youtube videos to learn how to use one,, that thing can and will kick back at times and could and will cut a limb off and I'm not talking about the trees,, and wear pants and gloves when doing this type of job its not just about cutting there are safety measures alone with it...,, good luck...
