Hi, nice review. Just lacking two things. One of the most important factors for its operation and feel is the "cams", that is the rounded metal thing that the spring tensioned roller is moving against when you press the pedals. It probably has a slight dent in the middle to give a slight centering feel. It would have been helpful if we could see the form of it as that is really what determines the feel. Some other HW as the VKB Gunfighter joystick has interchangeable cams and spring so that you can dial in what you want. You did not give a clear shot of the operation of the roller (is it a bearing?) or the form of the cams unfortunately in the whole video. It might have needed some dissassembly of the top part of the cam assembly though. ;) The other is the electronics and setup of the hall sensors. It would have been really helpful if you could have removed the cover so we can see the inside. What you really want to focus on in a review is to give a view of those parts that are not visible from a plain photo. :) Other than that, two thumbs up for a thorough review!
Thanks for your help with the C5 seat air bladder repair in 2024 sir! You've done the Corvette community a great service!
The case DIY feeder is still performing perfectly as of Feb. 2024.
Thank you so much for sharing this video. This was extremely helpful as I've looked at SO many different options online. So it's been almost a year since this video, are you still happy with your purchase?
Thanks for asking. Heck Yeah!!! This device is build like a tank, and works perfectly. I fly mostly sim helicopters and these pedals are perfect for that. They work great for planes as well (DCS, Flight Sim, IL2, X-Plane).
Hello. Nice vid. I am unsuccessfully trying a scissors system like this one. Is there any chance that you can tell me the dimensions of the screw positions for reference and the radius of the cams (if possible). Thank you very much in advance.
I am not sure I understand what you need measured. Cam radius???
@@gregpruitt1647 yeah, cam radio, thank you
Too much talking, we are not stupid, we just want to see the install
I bid low to one of the many vendors, the one with the most history, and risked the $175 + $15 shipping. They came in last night. I'm really happy. I set them with the pedals closest to the floor so that my pressure is more vertical which keeps from slipping around on the floor. IL-2 recognized them instantly and I flew for a couple of hours last night. I discovered that I had a bad muscle memory habit of twisting the stick WAY more than I should. My aiming was much more relaxed and accurate using the pedals. Well worth it. The dampener was the final selling point over the Russian pedals that look similar.
For me the damper made a world of difference and was the top selling point. As a helicopter sim (mostly), I set the damper to strong. Doing this means the rudders will not snap back to center if I adjust my feet.
Hi Greg, Are you still happy with these? They seem like they might be too light compared with the VKB-Sim T-Rudder Pedals Mk.IV. Are yours just on the floor or are they mounted? Thanks for the review. Cheers, Manning
Thanks for asking. YES... YES... These are the best rudder pedals I have owned over the years of flight sim. To light? No, not at all. I set the damper high so the pedals will not spring back to center with force of the springs. I fly sim helicopters mostly, so the slow return to center is a benefit. These pedals are mounted on a 80/20 extrusion platform, where the sim racing pedals are mounted above and the sim rudder pedals are mounted below and slide out when needed.
Ordered mine from Delta Simulations last week. Total cost delivered came to $65 (Jan 2023)
When I decided to replace the slew switch on my Warthog throttle, I discovered that it would cost more than $80 dollars for the switch alone. I simply could not do that. So, I stumbled upon this $50 dollar alternative from Ali Express. I took a change on Ali Express and it paid off in this case.
Very helpful. Thanks for review. Just need to figure out what seller to buy from now.
Yes, there are lots of sellers. From what I was able to tell is the pedals seemed identical. So, I bought from the seller with the best rating. These things are holding up well. They feel the same now as they did with I first bought them. strong, tight with no rattles, damper smooth.
Thank you for this. I was curious about this rudder and you were the only video reviewer of it that I could find, and one of the only few reviewers of it in any format at all.
Before I bought these I looked all over for reviews on this product. Whey they arrived, I was impressed at the build quality of the product. So, I did the video and posted it. I should do an year after video.
I have the same goal you had. Crazy amount of sellers have this for $190 - $200, and that's like 50-60 more that I would expect for no-name ebay item being sold by so many sellers. What did you pay?
The seller I bought from allowed offers. I got them for $175.00. I found these to be high build quality product. Amazing responsiveness and smoothness. The damper is a real bonus. These are worth more than I paid for them.
Does it recognize in msfs2020?
Yes, I use these with MSFS2020.
Still working good?
Yes, still working perfectly. I was lucky to have found this version if the switch, and from Ali Express of all places. This device is not junk.
is the one from ali-express rubber?
No, it is made of the same material as the very expensive one from Delta Simulations. Most likely they are both identical, and made in the same place.
I had the same exact issue! I'm sending mine back. Damaged the finish of mt vortex venom. And the slide would not feed rounds because cerokote was too thick on extractor and safety plunger.
ok but where can I get this though!!? 😮😮

Right, I did not plug this in here in this video. I did not have the PC here where I recorded the video. You can be sure that this product worked perfectly out of the box. Still using this product with no issues at all.
I would fiberglass your broken seat. Pretty easy. Could also use epoxy resin and fiberglass tape

Could you help me find one?I only see one for 60 euros.

Any idea where a guy could find that switch you used in the case feeder project?
If you mean the limit switch, I bought it from Dillon.
I have been looking for another option on the slew switch, just ordered mine!

One of the top 10 worst youtube videos of 2021. But here's a hint: Use the right tool for the job.
"Factory B-stock in full working order but may have physical/cosmetic imperfections." Well to me it looks as pristine as A-stock^^
Yes, that was my experience. In addition to the reduced price, the items shipped within days of placing the order.
Hay #tora57mitch here aka John I am in the process of reupholstering a set of C4 sport buckets seats and the lumbar bladder from the factory was nothing but a bunch of plastics pieces
Hopefully you paid them by credit card. If so, call up your credit card company and tell them you wish to speak with their fraud deptment. Explain that what they sold was NOT what they advertised and that they have failed to get back to you or honor their warranty. The credit card company will try to get ahold of them to hear their side of the story. If Rock Slide doesn’t convince the CC company that it will be taken care of, the CC company will reverse the transaction on them. You will have a worthless slide, but you will have your $$$ back also.
Goddammit... You said infant size at the beginning of the video so I bought those. At the end you show us it's actually child size.
Actually, infant size cuffs are closer in size to the original bladders. I used child size, but infant will work as well.
Any links you can share as to the exact bladders you used for this?
In the video, go do time location 12:30. At that point you can see that I am using Adult and Child blood pressure cuffs. There may also be item ID or Model ID shown printed on the outer nylon coverings. I hope this helps.
Good video just a tip from a fellow 650 owner......put the die locking nuts on the bottom of the tool head.
I've done that on occasion.
What are the dimensions of the hole for the casings to drop through?
That was a pure guessing game. I am not completely happy with how mine turned out, but it works... mostly. You will have to experiment with it. start small, and adjust until you get it right.
Hi Sir, believe it or not your video are helping me in 2021, I have this issues on my 1998 C5, this video help me a lot to this repair. Thank you!
I did not want to go the route of making and posting a video. But for whatever reason, Rock slide completely ignored my pleading for help. This slide is covered by a life time warranty. But Rock Slide did not even respond to my warranty request. I was left feeling that Rock Slide had chosen to say Fuck You to my need for service. Terrible service from Rock Slide.
I recently purchased two complete slides. I screwed up the second order and immediately sent email with a requested change. No response. I tried calling them and no one answered the phones. I tried two days later and someone answered. I explained what happened and she quickly changed the order for me. She told me it is crazy busy there for a long time and there just isn't enough help. My guess is they just don't have anyone checking or answering the emails. As far as fitment goes, I think they don't take into consideration how much space cerakote takes up when machining. If they machine to spec but then add cerakote then it will be out of fitment spec unless those areas are sanded off. When mine show up, I hope to have decent luck with them.
Thanks for the video. Rock Slide USA absolutely sucks! One of their uppers for a Glock 19, I couldn't even slide a barrel into the opening of the slide.
Were you able to return the slide to Rock Slide USA for a replacement?
@@gregpruitt1647 Tried to contact the company RockSlide USA, several times, no luck. I'm figuring the only way to help others is to post a video like your video. Own 2 other RockSlide slides, they seem to be working fine, but haven't tried a red dot yet.
I am utterly disappointed in how Rock Slide USA has completely ignored every attempt in contacting them. I just don't get it. I even posted a warranty request, and Rock Slide USA has ignored that as well. There is no reason for this. They leave me no choice than to take this approach. I have posted this on Facebook as well.
Did the chirp come back? Mine makes the noise yours did on your previous video . Contemplating to change the balancer but it’s a lot of work , if it has life left i dont want to change it for now . Seems like your balancer been wobbling for a couple years too
If your scale is long enough, you can extend the aluminum angle and scale off the left side of the table and put the sensor on the cantilevered portion which won't interfere with Y axis full travel.
May I ask how you cut the cutting board material so perfectly? what did you use to cut it? I bought a few buckets and I'm trying to duplicate your project:-) I love your Design and Edgenuity
I cannot describe how I did it. I used a endmill. But, you can easily place a screw in the center of a square sheet. use a jig saw with the edge guide. screw the edge guide in the center of the material, and that will guide the circle cut.
Good video dude Thanks
You should show how it actually works like showing the plunger go into the shell. That plunger needs to go inside the shell not on its edge etc. Simple shot of that would have been nice.

How do you like the NPP? I have the base OEM exhaust on my 2012 Grand Sport and was looking for a used Borla or Corsa, but think I may go NPP to have the ability to do the NPP in a box like you did to get the best of both worlds. Can I ask what you paid for the mufflers? I am assuming along with the over axle pipes.
One of the guys in my Corvette club had these in his garage for years. They were leftover from an aftermarket exhaust installation on his 08 Grand Sport. So, I got lucky and I bought them for a song $300.00. Yes, the price included the mufflers and over the axle pipes. For $100.00 a local muffler shop did the installation. Before buying these from my clube member I priced used NPP systems from Ebay, Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, and Corvette forum. Prices for used NPP's were all over the place, from $600 and up to as high as $800.00.
I am very happy with the installation. I get loud for me, and quite for my wife. Enough said.
Works like a charm. Ordered the Contec brand single tube adult and child sizesl off Ebay. Use the the vendor that is in Illinois. Plan on buying the 3/16 connector fittings for each bladder. I got mine at Ace Hardware.. Each seat was about $35 and took about an hour.
Excellent! That's the idea. I think this repair is better than the OEM bladders.
My wife, when she is a passenger prefers the exhaust quieter. I call it wife mode. This is why I installed the NPP in a Box kit.
