What can I use the logical switch setup for on my NX8? What does it modify? What outputs is it changing?

just bought an nx8 Have 2 BNF planes. Very confused if I can update to ax3s+ through the NX radio OR are cables required and computer updated??? Also do I model select 1st abd then 3x+ or vice versa? One video shows reset and do new Gyro serup Very unclear

Prop held on with O-RING... If put prop on backwards - IT WILL NOT FLY BACKWARDS - just lose some efficiency... 😃🙂😝

hello. thanks for the new info. My 4 year old nx6 wifi transmitter charge port pushed through the back. Cant charge, otherwise great receiver so i just purchased a new one, same model. I tried registering it but could not because the nx6 was no longer listed on the list of models to choose from for registering. Question--- I love your big new announcement but can i update this transmitter and why can i not register it. I guess registering is really not necessary but can i up date using wifi. please help. I feel as though I've just spent my money on a brand new discontinued transmitter . Wasn't informed or even offered a discount. Can it be updated? Thank you.

Hey Steve, coming into 2025 I’m going to be buying a power safe RX. Really only need the 10ch will the synapse be coming out as a package soon with the 10 or 14 channels or if I want the synapse do I need to purchase the 20?

The Spektrum NX7E has some really bad flaws to it especially if you fly helis. For starters the radio is super light and feels very cheap, like the radios you get from most bnf helis, and the gimble sticks just feel super long its kind of weird. Now onto bigger things such as having to hit the Start, and Scroll button during initial startup to access the System Setup was kind of ridiculous, as well as having it 3/4 the way down the menu while it's the number 1 menu item you'll be using. The G switch for hold has always been a 2 position switch, now it's a 3, so now if you hit the G switch to turn off the motor and accidentally go to the 3rd position the motor will turn back on! Not good for emergency situations. Another annoyance if you fly helicopters they changed the verbage from 90° single servo, or mechanical to "Normal" for Flybarless Units. No fbl unit that I've ever used called the swash type, "Normal." So another thing to look out for. I really only got this radio for small bnf heli so I don't need to buy a bunch of new rx, and fbl units to use my Jeti tx. I'm sure in the next year or so in true HH fashion it will be discontinued and gone. I really miss my old DX8, was probably one of the best radios ever made.

It's a super nice stand, however not worth 1/2 of a thousand dollars. I want one but my top price to pay for something like this is $125 and that's pushing it. I'll have to make my own. Thanks for the video!

If anybody is still monitoring this, I have a question that I can't find addressed in many youtube searches. If we create an ACRO model (typically power planes) that uses flaps, an item called Flap System will now appear in the Function List. This allows you to designate a switch or stick to operate the flaps and the % up/down that they move. If, however, you create a SAILPLANE model no such Flap System item appears and I can't find any place to specify which input I want to use and the eventual % movement required. Can someone please explain how to manage FLAPS on a Sailplane Model? Thank you, jg

I moved from a DX18 to the NX7e+ and after doing a few upgrades I really like the NX7e+ now. I am a night flyer so the rope lighting on the face was annoying. I created a left and right side decal 1/4" wide and covered the rope LEDs and that works perfect. I also designed and 3D printed shorter stick tops and they are great. Now I want to upgrade the battery in the transmitter. Amy one done a battery upgrade yet?

What processor is IXSR? I am a DX6R user and I know that DX6R has used the "ARM Cortex A7" processor. If the processor has a big performance improvement, I'm thinking about going to IXSR.

Please, introduce a USB-C charging port on those NX+ models. I can't believe Spektrum still has the old style usb in 2024... if there is ONE thing I hate about my NX8, this is it.

And NOW then i Got MY NX8+, the shit dosnt work... wireless connection. The fuccking Update isn´t working.. This transmitter is as bad as the IX12 i got with a slow internal Tablet. SPEKTRUM SUCKS:

@steve have a weird model overwrite issue on my nx10. I have a few models created. When I turn on my radio, my first model gets copied over the last model I flew. Only started happening in the last week. Any help appreciated..

The Spectrum battery checker is over priced.I had one and the screen broke on me.The best one is a cellmeter7 battery capacity controller and is only $10.00 on Amazon.

I currently own a DX8 and I learned to fly on a 5 channel long antenna 72 mhz MRC 765 in 1980.My DX8 is good enough for me.I fly sport/pattern planes.

I’m confused as to why you would buy an nx20 at this point then. Yea of course the nx20 is a little nicer but still the main reason why most people bought it was because of the extra channels so why did they buy a $1200 radio when a $400 radio now has the same capability. I feel like this throws people who bought those bigger radios under the bus

Good to see you’re still at it! I watched you a lot when I first started flying RC helis.. then I’ve been into DJI drones, came back to a couple of planes, now I want to return to my roots, so to speak. I still have a (venerable) 300 cfx I’ve NEVER FLOWN, and I may get another old heli, the 230 s, But I am thinking I should get a newer radio too at some point.. it’s been ten year and I am still using my DX8! I told my wife back when I got it, “I can use this thing to fly anything in the store for years!”… so other than the drones that came with their own radios, that has been true. But with newer Smart batteries and newer smart aircraft models, I’m thinking I should upgrade my radio too. But there is nothing weong with it.. it’s mint! It still works the same as the first day I got it!
