I had the twist 60 with a os 91 fx That is the best engine for it . I flew it until the engine wore out. They cost 200.00 back then but are now 280.00
They takeoff and land easy, easy to transport .

Steve, CE plastic printed battery tray is a great idea. What material did you use or prefer? Also glad to see a 5065 Motor on 6S battery being promoted

Love the Christen Eagle but may never buy one due to social issues in our area. Solid Video enjoyed watching.

    Hey Steve,
Thanks for the awesome vids. Question for ya. I have the h9 Fokker d7. Bought it after seeing you seff video with model av8r. Loved the build so far. Just curious what you'd recommend for painting the ultracote and how to maintain it after painting. I plan to use rustoleum spray cans. Big question is how do you remove sags in the ultracote during the winter on a painted surface?? Any tips tricks are highly appreciated.
Thank you for all you bring to the hobby,
    Edwin

Congrats on the build. I’ve personally never painted one yet but I’ve heard krylon works well. As for tightening it over the winter, I’d assume a heat gun would help. Sorry I can’t be more helpful on this one. Perhaps someone on RUclips has done it and has a video on it? Unsure. Sorry!!

Curious what your flying weight is on the Eagle with your electric setup? I’ve got one nitro powered with a SAITO 125 and it’s just shy of 7 pounds I believe. Thinking of doing a second one electric with the Power 90 motor and AVIAN100 amp that I’ve got laying around. It’s a great flying biplane!

My CE just arrived, looking at the electric motor box it looks different from the instruction manual with the old power 90...in the video you said you used the new Spektrum motor mount system..is there a link to find this ??

Just finished mine, did you cut a hole in the bottom for exit air? I flew mine this last weekend and the esc only got to around 165 degrees, but it was fairly cool and I didn't push the motor. Running mine on the Power 90 and 8s Thanks!
