@@misswoodhouse5720 yes, Mike's a fun guy to be around. He and my daughter; Robin; are both really into bags and finding the perfect bag for any occasion. I like bags, and have plenty but I'm not nearly as much of a fan as they are. Mike gave an interesting; and entertaining; presentation. I won a Rickshaw bag. Mark Dwight donated a number of bags to be given away, after Mike's talk, and I got one!

@@teresaharris-travelbybooks5564 defiantly pick up the frosted white Pride if you see it again, it's a great pen. Best thing is with demo's, whites, or blacks is they lend themselves to be any colour you choose pens. I always like swapping colours and trying new inks, but mostly I write with saturated dark colours so I can read my notes.

@@RJMW5 thanks for the kind comments. I tried to video the pens as I would want to see them, if I were watching a video. So often I've watched videos where the videographer kind of skims over the pens, and I catch a glimpse of something beautiful, and I'm thinking, " wait, wait, go back! I need to see that pen!"

@@elizabethevans5931 you're welcome, and yes, I did buy more than I intended to, but I didn't go crazy wild. I think everyone goes to DC with a budget, which promptly gets thrown out the window, once they see the enormous selection of pens, paper goods, and accessories 🤔

Believe me, when I say that the pens and vendors that are in my videos; are only half of the wonderful companies and creations that were on display. I tried to visit some of the tables that I had not been to, at previous pen shows. Some of them, I didn't even know about, until this show.

@@randywdc1 I'm not at all familiar with the D.C area. I know the Marriott Fairview is located in Falls Church, Virginia but I did not know that it was that far from the center of D.C. Does the Expo Center have hotels? Most of the vendors travel great distances, to be at this show and having a hotel room upstairs is an incredible convenience, not only for much needed downtime but to also store their products, as not all the vendors can leave their items in the ballrooms overnight. I hope you can make it to the show next year.

@@teresaharris-travelbybooks5564 , there are several hotels that are Metro accessible (public transit) that have exhibit/convention space within the proper DC, Maryland, Virginia area. Not to mention they should be able to get great rates in August after Congress recesses. Oh well, maybe next year. ☺

@@MadameM. Drew and Brian are consumate professionals. They know how to present themselves in a public setting, and they really do seem like super nice and caring people. I do know that the D.C Show takes a lot out of them, simply because EVERYONE wants to meet them. It was a fangirl moment for me. I listen to their pencast every Friday. And yes, that Delta DV oversize pen is amazing. I didn't get to write with one, unfortunately

@@UneFontaineDePlumes I would eventually love an S.T. Dupont but right now, they're out of my league. I do like Make-e pens, but again; out of my price range. Yes, the Delta DV oversize is on my wishlist. I purchased Tori's pen. The theme and inspiration touched me, plus Ben at Mayfair Pens ( who turned the pen ) makes some of the most innovative pens available. His online pen drops sell out within minutes. Jon and Abbie Lewis at Maverick Pens are the nicest couple, and they also have some really unique pens. Hemingway Jones was as nice as he could be. It was a true pleasure to meet him and his lovely family.

@@sameermadan7632 I think I did mention that the Qutub Minar was built on the site of a former fortified city, so yes, you are probably right. My video is only depicting my family's trip and is not meant to be a comprehensive historical documentary. I had to rely on Google and Wikipedia for some of the historical data.

I agree! I could almost confine myself to only buying Leonardo pens, if they weren't so pricy. So I only buy one, now and then. The Aquapetra is about to be sold out, which is why I went on and got it. It DOES remind me of wildflowers, growing in a field. Thank you for commenting. 0:01

@@jeffreyclayman6922 oh yes; it began cracking not long after I got it. Hongdian sent out a replacement cap, although I haven't even used it, because the crack hasn't gotten any wider or deeper and it has never affected the ability of the nib to stay lubricated. I love this pen. If you're undecided on whether or not to buy one, I definitely recommend it, as long as you can accept that the cap may crack. The theory was that these pens first shipped during the cold winter weather, and temperature extremes occurred, and that's why the crack developed. How true that is, is anyone's best guess.

@@samreads. the fall and winter books are usually ( based on the past ) better. So I'll stick around for those. But time is ticking, on my patience with IC.
