Thank you Vincenzo. I may not have given this pen a closer look, if not for your videos on the Gioia brand. Gioia really should sponsor your channel. If I remember correctly; you, sbrebrown, Vanessa, and Figboot are the only people currently reviewing Gioia pens. Oh, Inkquiring Minds did have a review also.
It actually wasn't that expensive; considering the price of Italian made fountain pens. It was briefly offered at a discount price, and I had rewards points with the company; for other purchases I'd made with them. If not for that; it wouldn't have been a purchase that I'd have felt comfortable with.
@@teresaharris-travelbybooks5564 : you were lucky and must have been so delighted that you could get it. I checked the retail price and it seems fair for such a lovely, carefully made pen, just too much for me. I assume it is made by turning, a craft process, and the resin and attention to detail are very special. Using a quality steel nib instead of a gold one helped keep the price down, probably without much if any effect on writing experience.
Wow......I...I am...bedazzled, that resin is SO SPARKLY!!! I...I might need to take a closer hands-on look at that pen xD Thank you for sharing this beautiful Gioia pen, Teresa. It definitely does that job so well. Time to head over to Pen Chalet lol!! :D Question: Do you have any issues with ink getting stuck on the threads by the grip section? I've never had a pen with the threads at the end of the grip before. I went to look at the Pen Chalet version (on their video) and you got a very beautiful variation! I love the way the yellow doesn't overpower in your pen and accents the rest of the beautiful cooler toned colors. You scored so well with this one! :)
Thank you for your questions and kind remarks. I had so little trouble with the threads, that I totally forgot to mention them! Yes, ink did get in them but I took a damp paper towel and wiped it off. Easy peasy! And I don't feel the threads; at all; when writing. The problem I did have was getting the nib and feed inserted into the ink bottle. This is a pen with a lot of girth, even in the grip. It wouldn't go into my ink bottles. I had to pour some ink into a tiny cup and submerge the pen in that. I was kind of concerned about the resin colors. I didn't want too much of the yellow/gold color, so I am pleased that my pen has as much blue as it does. I think I'd have returned it, otherwise. I hope you have a great day, Lao.
Yes it is!
Beautiful resin..Enjoy you new pen .🎉
Thank you.
Stunning pen ! not only the resin, but I like also the rings/bands. This review is a true "gioia" 🙂 ! Thank you.
The pen does have nice accents.

What a gorgeous pen! It is indeed glorious. I know without looking that it is beyond my price range, but I can enjoy looking at yours.
