Clearing turns on a checkride are such a weird thing, man. It’s drilled into your head but many times it’s also the first thing that slips your mind when you’re given a task. I got off SUPER easy on my checkride with respect to clearing turns. I don’t know if my DPE was just thinking out loud but he outright said “ok, let’s do some clearing turns then we’ll get into maneuvers” 🧐

I love the Avidyne Entegra setup - flew it in an SR20 for awhile. So simple and easy to navigate. The G3X I also flew was cool, but too much going on.

Thanks for sharing. There’s a lot of CFI checkride prep that goes into it and forgetting one or two things can happen to anyone. You’re going to be a great CFI to your future students.

Taxiing challenges: Maintain situational awareness. Be aware of hold short lines, ensure you have a clearance at a controlled airport and look up and down the runway to verify there is no traffic prior to crossing. Sterile cockpit

I went through these videos and followed along making notes on my own lesson plans. I wish you had a video for every section because I feel like the flow and content covered is a perfect pace for teaching new students. Besides the mock oral from FlyMA there isn't that much on youtube to prep for the checkride, so this is really helpful

What do you think of the wifi cfi lesson plans? I want them all on the ipad and be customized

I purchased a $60 asa book with online test and the authorization my FFA test.

I know it's been awhile but don't stress about this, your videos are helping me a lot for my cfi training, check ride is in two days. BUT, I have failed a check ride because of slow flight before (even after passing pwr off stalls). It's hard to admit failure over such a simple thing but you definitely do remember the small things after something like that!

Another thing I saw not regarding to the situation is that his rudder skills while flying is awesome to watch. Especially as a student pilot
