New Prototype Caulking Gun
Unipro recently had the opportunity to test Albion's new prototype caulking gun, and we were thoroughly impressed! As a long-time user of Albion tools, we have been using their professional line of sealant installation tools for over 33 years. The quality of their products has always been a top priority for us, and this new prototype is no exception.
In the video linked below, we demonstrate how the new style bulk/sausage caulking gun is not only easy to use but also comes with some added features we had never seen before. These features make sealant installation both easier and more dependable, which is crucial in an environment where mistakes are not an option.
We highly recommend check...

Dealt with primers Toxic solvents and many other things that sausage users are clueless about. If I mixed a can like you did way back when I was an apprentice Id get my balls busted So Bad! As the old saying goes “ All things relative…… “ I would absolutely be Fired from at least 2 different major caulking specialty companies for doing work that’s better than what you did! I worked for one guy who demanded absolute perfection even by top gun standards he was Too Much. He Fired 12 different guys in a matter of months and would even call the union hall and Really Complain about the complete lack of quality and speed etc and some of them were Way Way better caulkers than Anyone I’ve seen on Any of these videos. I worked 30 plus years in the specialty skills ( actually Doing the work to Our high standards) and there’s Nobody Even close to as Critical and demanding that the caulkers were THATS All they did There really Never was an industry Standards with caulking ( even though some say it) It was the Top gun level Mechanics who Created the Standards for the company and some other even big companies didn’t have standards anywhere near as demanding. The fact that the bricklayers union makes clueless 2nd year apprentice girls instructors Who have absolutely No skills No experience Can’t run the gun or knife or even load the gun ( bulk) Really is an Insult to all the really hard working caulkers who spent decades getting more knowledge and better faster more skilled etc. This Woke broken special needs affirmative action racist liberal run nation is all about diversity and filling quotas and “ creating jobs “ which means putting White Males that are high functioning ( sometimes) and skilled through generations Out of Work to make room for special needs babies and create a job programs. I’ve been Completely Discriminated against Because I’m White many times over the last 10 years that I tried to stay employed I’ve applied to jobs that I’m literally by far the most seasoned qualified capable Fairly Vast array of specialty skills etc and I was not hired if some completely Clueless diversity girl or “ minority “ needs a job creation. USA is an absolute pitiful joke compared to the uk England and so many other countries. Clueless little black girl gets year round teaching gig caulking and is Beyond Clueless While actual caulkers who can run and tool over 1000 feet a day ( ground work) get completely discriminated against but there’s No such thing as Racial discrimination against white men in this Double Standards No standards nation. I have been part of the BAC here in Seattle for over 30 years. It has been a wonderful career. I know that caulkers are referred to often as the unskilled labor. Not many young people say to themselves, I want to grow up and be a Caulker. But, we are very much skilled in our professional installations of sealants of all kinds. We help keep the building dry and mold free. It has been my privilege to work with some of the largest contractors in the world, on some of the tallest buildings in the world, and with many wonderful trade professionals. I have even had the opportunity to work with some very well-known scientists in the world of sealants. This includes people like Jerome Klosowski, one of the lead scientists who invented Dow 795. Andreas Wolf is another lead chemist and scientist from Dow Corning whom I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to work with. I must say, the Caulking Community has given me a very fulfilling career. Good sealant, maintenance requires annual inspections. If there’s failed sealant, it must be removed and replaced. It is always good to check with the material manufacturer for the proper sealant replacement.

There are several distributors, or suppliers of the specialty materials here in Seattle. The easiest way for you to find a distributor near you would be to go online and visit the website of a sealant manufacture. There, they list those who distribute their materials nationwide. I hope this helps.

@@FacePalmTheWorldArmy I am familiar with pine-sticks or whittle-sticks as they are sometimes called because they are carved into a shape that fits the joint. Just about everything has been used to tool sealants, including potatoes. Using a modern tool that is tapered to fit the joinery is preferred. As for using soapy water, dry tooling is ALWAYS required to ensured adequate adhesion. Sometimes caulkers will use soapy water to better the appearance. This is also called slicking the sealant. This is acceptable provided that dry-tooling is first. However, a skillful caulker should seldom need to use soapy water to achieve a good appearance.

Caulking is a skill. An art when done properly. Only a few of us have mastered the technique of applying sealants in all forms of construction. From sidewalks to tilt-up, to curtail wall, and structurally glazed systems. I have taken my skills to a higher level in that I teach all applications to the next generation, working with bulk sealants of all kinds, organic and inorganic in all applications.
