feel like time is speeding up? watch this
Is it true that time starts speeding up as we grow older? And what are some of the strategies that can help us get our life back?
The book I'm referring to throughout the video www.goodreads.com/book/show/16248212-time-warped
The study on time perception eagleman.com/latest/brain-time/ Spoiler alert: time doesn't slow down (nor speed up as you'll see in this video), we just perceive it as such due to our emotions, memory, and how attentive we are to the present moment.

one thing I realized is that reading, particularly fiction, makes me feel like time expands. there's more life in my life, as you put it, because I experience many other feelings and places and you know, /stuff/ in addition to my own little boring life. cliche, I know, but it has a big impact in how I perceive time thanks for the video, it's really a topic I'm interested in.

I don't really follow productivity content so this idea of having 3 versions of a routine is new to me. I might actually try it, especially because I'm one of those low-energy chronic-pain people. thanks! side note, I decided to be "not like other girls" (I'm kiddiiing) and started my whole goal setting, new routine stuff in early December 2024. it's been working so far, I don't see why we need a random date like January 1 to set new goals or change routines lol.

@@river3516 a fellow low-energy girl here! I personally found it very helpful to work with my energy levels and try to rely more on my strong sides (in my case, I can compensate low energy with a very good ability to focus). It's nice to know someone feels similar to me. Hi! I worked as an in-house marketing manager, so was basically doing the same stuff but with more meetings and excel and less writing. I agree, it’s quite stressful that there’s no pre-defined but I found that a) if you work in a similar role (to get both experience and connections and b) connect with people who are already doing what you want to do, things get much easier

I’ve been laid off twice in my career. Both were very tough on me at the time. But in retrospect, had I not gotten laid off the second time, I never would’ve joined my current company where I’ve been for 12 years. This is basically my 2024! I was bisexual, with a man I thought I would support no matter what, working as a cleaning lady on a mental hospital in a very depressing town. He broke up with me on late july, and suddenly I had enough of everything and nowhere to go! I left my job, talked with my mother about moving to my brother's department, and start studying a new career related to my love for animals, plants and nature. My psicologist traight up told me that big chances are that I am a lesbian who went trhough a harsh comphet phase. And I reconnected with my father after 14 years!! Who would have thought?! Me, absolutely not! Things change, we change, our thoughts change. Nothing is written on stone, and even if it is, stones also erode and fade away! I'm 28 now, there was absolute no chance I could have done this many changes when I was 19. I didn't have the support group, therapy, the maturity to face so many adult things. Sometimes I wonder if I lost my 20's on silly things, but I just know I had to endure all that crap to finally reach to where I am!

For myself I can live with very little, I do so as is my nature. But external factors are important to get the things I do want, as finding friends or partners will come with external requirements. I dont have a drivers licence as I never really needed it, but people do judge me for it, they might not say it, but I can see patterns. Social media just last week i was searching the "quit social media, have a happy life "and basically yaa i had thought about it a lot that social media most of the time is not a good thing for most of the people , u talked about the entrepreneurship on social media that's a thing but most of the people use it to just like passing time and wasting time as i think. Facebook, Instagram i had used them at some point of life and except entertainment i don't think it had much to offer for majority of people and the worst part about social media as i think is what u talked about in the video, they shape ideas and alter people's opinions i read this somewhere that "most of the people opinions are just there home feed" and that's really bad coz social media is so manipulating sometimes that people can be easily trapped in some random topic while worse things are going in the world and most of the social media is filled with not so good content just random people doing random things and all, the luxury lifestyle u talked about that's so true most of the influencers like that earn money coz of their followers in some way or debt or some other not good stuff basically they are different than most of us it disappoints me so much that how some influencers don't even work hard even their content is bs still people watch them coz they r just wasting their time on social media, making the influencers more rich and they flex more money i can't even think what kids are gonna think after watching these people with no real value earning tons of money most of the people who watch content like that have to work in a job have to study ,pay bills, they just can't have a luxury lifestyle without hardwork , i just heard it somewhere that 70% of iphones here are on emi like people can't have a phone on down payment, this just means that they can't afford it but still push themselves to buy an expensive phone it feels really weird that how i open the social media and i see so many people having great life ,so much money and then when i put my phone aside and think then i realise that currently there's so much money crunch in the whole world,so much unemployment, poverty, the job market is down and all the bad stuff social media also creates a FOMO to the people who are happy that they are not living their life to the fullest. sometimes in all the glitter and shining of the social media we forget that most of the people on earth are not rich and have to work hard to live a normal life. but the hard work part is not shown anywhere it's just the vacations, expense clothing and all and yaa as u said everyone can choose what's good for them , tho as i think it's not entirely good when their opinion is not exactly their it's forced opinion from social media At the end i think that earning money is good but over spending for not so much good reason is not good and we should be mindful of our spendings Some other things- u may think why i wrote a whole essay on here 😅. i rarely do so tbh it's just i had quit all social media and working on this RUclips and pinterest too , heard that and felt also that instead of just watching random content, thinking about it writing a thoughtful comment is a good thing. and also ur channel is so underrated most probably u r gonna read this 😅 so yaa lol being ignored by everyone feels lame to me that's also a reason i don't comment often on other places. it may contain lots of errors and all but i just wrote it and edited a bit forgive me for that didn't really had much time to edit a youtube comment So yaa thanks for reading everyone have a really nice day today 😄

a 15 minutes comment on a 15 minutes video - i love it :D no but really thank you, it feels like we're almost in a real conversation (which is pretty cool if you ask me!). it is true there's a lot of bs online. i for sure noticed a positive change in my mood when i limited the content i consume to ASMR, animal videos, and people who really-really inspire me. not that there's anything wrong with entertainment, but i guess we have to keep "clean" our digital space as much as we do our physical space. once again, thank you for watching and leaving such a detailed comment! :)

I have watched a lot of productivity videos, have followed a bunch of really famous productivity experts, learning coaches Have tried different protocols, philosophies of life Some of them worked well like meditation, exercise, sunlight ,tho most of them didn't worked as they should have even after putting efforts and all in them . And now what i know is that there's no better way . We should keep things simple And being better than today is not a destination it's a journey and we just have to keep going. And your channel i found through your last video about habits and that was some new perspective that i had experienced myself but somehow rarely anyone talks about that . I instantly subscribed after watching your helpful content 😊. Even this video is again really well made i had done calendar blocking for some time but the problem was that i was so unproductive 😅 at that time that i was not able to do much so left it . Tho ur video just dropped in time i was just thinking about doing it again and now i am sure gonna keep in mind all that u said and this time won't fall back . And Really thanks for making such amazing videos. U r truly a great person.😃
