Are those are Ortofon O - One's? Man i love those! I have them for 12 years and they was my main for gigs and music production. Exceptional headphones. They are now backup pair but i am still in love with them ❤
Son superficiel.
Liked and subscribed. You really know your stuff !
Thank you very much. I do my best😀
Dude, thanks a lot for this tutorial and tone demos! It was exactly what I needed! I would like the video a ton times if I could.
@@allanpavani you're most welcome 😁
Hello! How could I get in contact with you to ask some questions? 🙂
You can just ask right here :-D
What is that keyboard on the bottom part of your screen?
It's the keyboard part of the VST plugin called Scaler (recorded live with OBS Studio) 😁
Enthused total novice here - Thanks much for turning me on to Soundpaint! The 1928 Steinway sounds awesome & obviously so much love & care goes into their other brilliant offerings as well. Cheers
Yes, it's a very nice Piano VST - for a freebee 😁
Hey Minds. Thanks for the video. Can I run something by you? I have a composition here on YT ruclips.net/video/mjSnshLo1rg/видео.html that is done in Notion6 and I want to make the sound more realistic like say the Berlin Phil and I need piano and women's choir with it. Can you tell me what the best DAW preferably notation software would get me this preferably free but a couple hundred $$$'s at most if not? thanks much.
sure would be nice
What DAW are you using here? Looks easy and clean ...
It's Reaper. Great DAW and not that expensive 😁
Are you sure its all free? I see trial when installing it?
When I made the video it sure was. Some are light versions though.
Could you do a simple tutorial to set up this please.. TBH this is half of the job =/
Nice demos and review - Thanks!
Thanks
I've music collection which is not created by me. Can I sell them anywhere online and get paid/ if yes then where?
If you want to sell the music, you must have the copyright for the tracks.
@@MelodicMinds. what about people showing list of songs on RUclips which others listen and the channel owner gets paid through RUclips views, they dont have copyrights yet they earn.
@@bobwa399 If you don't have the rights, you video will most likely get copyright claimed and your channel could risk getting a strike. Also ads are shown, even if your Channel is not monitized - the money then goes to RUclips and the copyright holders.
@@bobwa399 Also, why should you be able to make money of other peoples work...if they have not approved it.
As someone who bought the full Berlin Series a while ago, I'm unsure whether the orchestral samples in Kontakt Factory Library 2 are a reused and stripped down version of the original or re-sampled instruments. It sounds very similar, that may just be different scripting giving that impression, or because it was sampled by the same company, Orchestral Tools.
The question has now been answered, as I found the information on the Kontakt 7 product page: yes, these are selected samples from the Berlin Series.
Thanks for posting the answer - have fun composing 😁
Aside from the review of the library, thats some very nice playing at 4:00
Thanks :-D
thank you
You are welcome 😁
what keyboard do you use for this software?
I have a Roland A-49, but any midi controller will do 😁
The volume swells make it a little difficult to control?
I have an expression pedal (you could just use the mod wheel) to control the volume. With the pedal I can just use both hands to play 😀
What version of Kontact 7 is being used?
Very helpful. Thank you for this. How far orchestral libraries have come is just astonishing.
Yes, all these libraries truly are amazing. I remember when I was a kid, my dream was to compose a symphonic piece and have an orchestra perform it. Never had they the money or the skill. Now it's possible to learn and create it - by the power of hardworking programmers, mussisians, entrepreneurs and the Internet. 😁
Thanks so much for the inspiration!
Glad you found the video inspirational! 🙂
what if i only have acapella vocals?
I have never worked with vocals, but if it is your own voice and compositions I don't see why, you could not sell them as royalty free music.
What a great presentation.... and you have the best hair on all of RUclips!
Thanks, glad you found it useful - I do my best 😁
It's actually a great library considering you could get Kontakt 7 for 100 euros as a crossgrade. It's a more bright library so smoothing the top end is recommended. I Played with the exact same patch as you and drove the signal through a Studer A800 by UAD and it sounded very similar to Albion legacy. If they were to add one more dynamic layer and some articulations and come up with a "Pro" version I would probably pay for it... And a final tip for users who make large patches out of it: Don't forget to purge all of your samples!
Yes. I think it's a god deal, especially when you get all the other instruments as well. in the latest update, they have also fixed most of the errors in the samples 😁
Thank you SO MUCH for this video! You absolutely pushed me in the right direction. Sidenote: I am blind and use Logic Pro with the help of Apple's own screenreader VoiceOver and the additional tool VOCR which helps blind users to even read out screens which are not accessible, such as this plugin. When I did what you demonstrated - cart - show dir, nothing happened here. However, when I clicked Load and then selected the rom_.syx files, I got to the presets that I downloaded. One question: When I select e-piano 1 - the reason why I got Dexed in the first place, it sounds dry and hardly like your presentation at 5:44min. Did you put the breadth, reverb and fullness on it, or is this gem of a sound the way it sounds in the plugin? E-piano 1 sounds much drier and boring on my system. Your ideas will be greatly appreciated.
Happy you found it useful. Yes I use reverb, I mention that in the video as well. It's a free one, the Mcharmverb. A little reverb goes a long way 🙂
I'm about to start uploading songs to pond5. Thanks for the great suggestion.
Good luck to you 👍
how do you convert you files to mp3???
I render them as mp3 and wav from Reaper. You can do this is all DAW'S 🙂
🎉 nice
Is there one for a modern steinway? Or is that not possible due to some legal stuff or something
Not for free, at least not one that I know of. I think it is because of the massive amount of work it takes to sample a grand piano well, people don't want to give away their best stuff.
I need help with composing please
You take a look at these two videos, that is my approach: ruclips.net/video/j2UBKOfZW-8/видео.html ruclips.net/video/X51b-cCLwc0/видео.html
In my early pre synth days, I had a keyboard stack consisting of a Wurlitzer and a Vox Continental Organ and that lasted about 10 years. Then Moog introduced the Mini Moog. Couldn't afford it but was intrigued by it. Then in the early 70's I started playing electric 4 string bass, my first love in instruments. After about 6 years, I then got a Sequential Pro one to play left hand bass on and it sounded great. I used a DX7 for the right hand and that combo worked incredibly well for about the next 15 years. But then I became a Gospel singer and began to use acoustic instruments to perform with such as Guitar, Banjo and Mandolin. But as time went on, I still loved my keyboards in the studio for my recordings and after retiring I began messing with the many free synth plugins out there, Dexed being one of my favorites. I find it does a great job emulating the real thing, which I still have and it still works great after all the years of road work I did with it. My go to synths now are the U-he plugs which are just fantastic, Diva, Hive 2, Zebra legacy and the Repro package, but Dexed still remains in my arsenal as well. It's a great plug, and Free? You cannot be serious, but yes, it is free! If you don't have it in your arsenal, don't even think about it. Just down load and get ready for hours of fun. Literally thousands of patches free on the web.
That it so cool that you still have a the original DX7, never tried the real thing - just love the sound of it. I also think that I will keep that love for synths, it just so much fun to play around with. And all the free stuff you can get today i very cool and new great plugins just keeps on coming. U-he is also some of my favorites. If there is money to spare U-he Diva sounds awesome. A warm thanks to all of the developers out there 😃
I am just getting into the world of soft-synths and plugins. Thank you for listing some of the ones you love (U-he,Diva, etc.). There is a lot to sort through out there! :)
Hi, are you still getting sales on libraries such as Pond5 or/and AudioJungle? It seems as if the subscription model has been hurting the chances to get sales nowadays on the "normal" platforms/libraries, I've had tough months with less sales since the start of this fall.
In your first example, I like the Kontakt Strings much better. They are more upfront. They sound cleaner and more richer, specially in the bass. The Cinematic Studio String, they sound tinny, hollow and very distant. The rest of the following examples of instruments, Cinematic wins the rest. (To my ears and my opinion for my taste). 😋
I would ague that CSS is more flexible as the library has a more neutrale sound. But yes, depending on the style I'm composing in I would layer CSS with another string library as well. For that very upfront sound, Symphobia is still a strong contender 😃
CSS all the way mate it is smooth as butter
Yes they are still excellent and very realistic. Also the playability is very good 😁
Ill buy if and when they fix the samples!
In the latest update they fixed a lot of the samples, It is much better now 🙂
@@MelodicMinds. not all though…
i have the Kontakt player 7, and i have the factory library 2, but it does not have the choir nor the orchestral !?
I had the same problem. I think you have to add the serial numbers from your account on native instruments manually in Native Access.
My favourite is Heavyocity free piano.
Thank you for the recommendation, I did not know that one. I will try it out 😀
I was wondering about getting kontakt 7 full version, is this included or do you have to buy it separately? =)
Its included in Kontakt 7. You can see the new factory library right here: www.native-instruments.com/en/products/komplete/samplers/kontakt-7/library/ :-)
can you do string slides to get realistic violin sounds?
You can't do realistic legato with this library. For more realistic strings I use Cinematic Studio Strings, but that's a much higher price point. 😊
THANK YOU!!!!!!
Glad you found it useful 😁
Hello Mate, what MIDI keyboard soft are you using? It looks beautiful on your screen. Greetings
I'm using Reaper as my DAW. Fast , cheap and reliable. If you're talking about the keyboard at the bottom, it's a screen capture of scaler 2 🙂
🇩🇰?
Yep 🙂
Do you only produce/compose as a hobby or is it even your profession? Btw if you are German, kannst du auch in Deutsch antworten 😁
I mostly Compose just for fun. I am however selling some of my music at royalty free libraries - I'm Danish 😀
@@MelodicMinds. ah okay great. Well, how much did you spend already in libarys? 😁 Oh, damn. It seems Danish people have the same accent as Germans when speaking English 😁
@@MelodicMinds. btw your videos are great. You should have much more views. Keep it up👏

You can find my pond5 profile right here: www.pond5.com/artist/eaglecinematics :-D
nice!
Yes it's very nice 😀
@@MelodicMinds.These errors though... 🤔
EXTREMELY new to this but uh, I see you've got a Piano attached. I personally have a Yamaha YPG-235. I've always wondered what the "PC" button on it was. Im'a take an educated guess and assume that one way or another my piano is capable of being linked to a computer of thus allowing me to play it through the software?
Yes it should be. What you need is a USB cable to connect your keyboard to your computer. You then have to go into the audio settings in your music software (also called DAW) - choose your audio interface - and then select your midi keyboard board as the input device 🙂
Love it! ❤
Glad you like it!
