THANK YOU for showing that process to fold it!!! We used ours for the first time this weekend and had ourselves and our camp neighbors all perplexed about HOW to do that!!! After I watched your video today... BAM, it seemed easy. What the??? Also... great tips on those top two straps... definitely going to try it! Do you have the trunk open inside the tent itself... or do you have it on the outside of the tent and under the cover that goes over the car? Thanks for making this video... maybe I will try this tent again. I was about ready to dump it.

We essentially did the same thing with a Full foam mattress from Walmart, though made the fit tighter. We use 2 carry on luggage as "supports". Sewed a cover from an old duvet and store it in a mattress vacuum bag in the frunk with a small reversible pump. Mattress: $119 Pump: $10 Vacuum bag: $13 Duvet from thrift shop: $8 Total: $150+tax Cheaper, greater fit, comfort and includes storage solution. Good video.

Would love to see another video showing how to seal the sides so bugs don't get in. A simple window magnet on the outside and inside doesn't seem to me to be good enough, maybe magnet strips like you were taking about?

What if you close the back side doors on the tank? That way no gaps. Will that work?

You can actually cool or heat the tent with the hatch open. Once we seal the sides with the magnetic strips I’m sure it would be even more effective. The car did regain any loss throughout the next day as well even though we were using a basic 120 outlet.

The tent looks awesome. Can you sleep and keep the hatch open for cooling/heating the tent? Also, did the y recover the range it lost through the day?

Would a queen blow-up mattress fit in that tent? Researching best Model Y Trunk tent that will fit a queen blow-up mattress and this + magnets (like you said) seems like the best

Unfortunately those roof covers are really not that great. The ones from Evannex are MUCh better and actually reflect away the heat/sun. Nice setup though!
