Admittedly there is one piece of foreshadowing for Radahn being Miquella's consort, but it's so obscure i hardly count it. Both ends of the Lion Greatbow have a golden carved Miquella's Lily as its tip and there are golden, crown-wearing lions also carved on the bow. That, combined with the fact that Radahn's swords and bow are made of the same material as the black knights' armor and weapons (and maliketh's armor) too, does imply it was always planned. It's just really, really stupid foreshadowing

Ehhh idk now that ive had time to sit with it it just leaves the game open for a 2nd game. Which theyve already hinted at having interest in doing so its really not that bad it wraps up what it needed to wrap up and leaves the fun things still a mystery.

The problem is you take out a God BEFORE you take out a God. It kinda outshines the main story by looking like it's no big deal to slay a God. I wish for once a DLC would take place after the main quest. Being an actual Elden Lord and confronting Miquella and Radahn would have been fantastic.

Would like to mention that nonbinary people can still use he or she as a pronoun. And intersex people can be very diverse in body parts. Personally I doubt the gods really need to care about biology. Especially considering Marika/Radagon, and Miquella/st Trina Also queer people can be villains. I feel like as long as it is done well, and this game does as long as you look into the lore.

wasn't ds3 lothric supposed to be a merged world comprising of different dimensions.... one could hypothesize that drangleic was one of those worlds

You have to understand the SOULS DLCs don't have endings. Bloodborne ended with Orphan, no ending credits, just a small cutscene. Dark Souls 1, the same, Dark Souls 3, the same. But, the Elden Ring's DLC ending is still bad, because it leaves you vacant, there is something uncomplete in this ending, like it doesn't conclude. It's not the cutscene, it's not that there are no credits or whatever. You see, the endings in SOULS DLCs, in each one of them, were THE FINAL BOSS BATTLES THEMSELVES, in Dark souls 3 the DLC's ending WAS THE FIGHT WITH FUCKING GAEL HIMSELF at the END OF THE FUCKING WORLD, THAT was the ending, no cutscene needed. In Bloodborne the ending was FIGHTING A GREAT ONE WASHED UP IN A FUCKING SHORE ON TOP OF THE CORPSE OF ITS MOTHER, THAT was the ending. This is where Elden Ring's DLC is lacking, the ENDING is ASS because the FINAL BATTLE is ASS, pointless, meaningless, awful. Know the difference.

A beefed up Metyr mother of fingers, or bayle the dread would have made for a cooler final boss if the game actually acknowledged you for becoming the elden lord

Even with Ansbach quest, the build up or set up to Radhan is almost none existent both in DLC and base game. To quote Gordon Ramsay: "It's fuqing raw!"

Why do people always have on mind incest or sex when it comes to Radahn and Miquella? Its such a pointless thing to say that doesnt get you anywhere. Fromsoft used the word "consort" in this game not in a sexual manner, but in a ruling manner. Godfrey was to Marika the same thing Radahn was to Miquella: a law/order enforcer. You can even see it in Radahns stomp attack and his long braid, both reminescent of a figure he admired so much, and basically even became: Godfrey.

What if ... Ranni and Godwyn were already conspiring before his death? If Godwyn knew about his curse and possibly impending "death", and was aware of the problems with the Golden Order, maybe he conspired with Ranni to have her steal the rune of death and kill him in order to bring about the end of the Golden order?

I just don't like the fact that you are not given a choice. Sure, make Radahn his consort, but like, the Tarnished is pretty morally grey, so why can't you accept their order as an ending? It wouldn't even be the worst morality wise, in one ending you literally destroy the world, and it's not like Dung Eater's ending is any better. Or if they really want a fight, they could have still given a way to return Trina to Miquella and have an ending that way or something (I personally like this idea the best, because even she feels like a waste). I enjoyed the fight, it's fun, it's hard, but I'm still salty with the lack of ending choice.

Radahn is a bad choice no matter what. And for those that say Godwyn couldn't be the final boss for lore reasons, ANYTHING can happen in these games! It's a fantasy world.

I’m always absolutely shocked when people say Godwin looks like a fish. Am I the only one who sees this as the dragon flesh he would have consumed in Dragon Communion.

As someone who jumped into Elden Ring earlier this year, i was so incredibly confused, frustrated and annoyed by From hiding bits and secrets in the earliest story trailers. Yes, the story trailers that aren't even in the actual game! Malenia who says that Miquella awaits Radahn when fighting him in that one trailer and then there's just that stupid end Cutscene you get for fighting the probably most unbalanced (by the time at least) boss in the entirety of From history. Bed of Chaos doesn't even hold up to this abomination imo. Yes I know I sound salty but imo I have a good reason. The whole plot with Radahn and Miquella was so poorly explained, it's some weird incest thingy I personally don't like (but that may just be me) and Radahn has NOT A SINGLE WORD TO SAY! Seriously, they made him an empty husk just for Miquellas vow. That btw was actually explained in one of the item descriptions. And there it is specifically said that Miquella had a wish. A heartfelt wish to make Radahn his consort. Nowhere is it stated that Radahn had any saying in the matter nor that he actually agreed. It's such a horrible ending. Starting the DLC I thought Messmer kidnapped Miquella and we had to free him. I never thought of Miquella as the antagonist but man do I hate him. Anyway, this DLC was a thing with lots of ups and downs.

It’s a common trope in fromsoftware games dlcs that have no endings, ds3 has no ending, ds1 has no ending, blood borne has no ending. The fact that they added a post fight cinematic with miquella is the most they have ever done. The dlc is never a true ending in fromsoft games but a complimentary to the main game story and ending

I’d like to note that Elden Ring, being such a breaker of FromSoft conventions, could always recieve a second DLC based on what was missing here. Also the maingame hint to Rad and Miq’s relationship is in the design of the former’s greatbow

I think you missed one hint. There is some place with big lore reveal, that stated what Malenia whispered to Radahn before the Aeonian bloom. For me it cleared a lot of lore theories.
