You may want to do cost comparison between what you paid TVN and what it would have cost to attend independently. After I went in 2016 after talking to some of the folks in Montreal it was pointed out that I could have gone to the event for about a 3rd of what TVN charged.

I always wonder when I see these videos how are you filming without your technology showing? Also yeah, knee pads and leather pants…if you do actual steel, ren (rapier) or shinai you know even if it’s “foam” you still need the right fighting equipment.

You know what's funny .. I just thought about this. But in a post labour economy, which I'm convinced is in our near future. We could have entire communities of people larping for months or even years at a time. People would start permanently living on the grounds and just larping 24/7 since they don't have jobs and live off UBI's etc anyway and I mean, who doesn't want to live in a faux medieval setting with a bunch of fun loving nerds.

hey welcome to Bicolline! You seem like you'd really fit in and like the religion Naaketuun :3 Lovers of all nature. In Spring time we have an event called The Croakening where we all gather by water and croak to awaken the frogs so they may eat the mosquitos. In it we make a contest of whoever croaks the best wins a prize, this year it was a beautiful leather frog crown made by our grand priest and in turn I made our grand priest a frog pendant with our symbol as a gift.

It's a dream of mine to go to bicolline some day, and I love your channel so this was awesome!!

omg this looks amazing! this has shot even higher up the bucket list, however i have a question, how LGBTQ+ friendly was the event? Most of my regular LARP troupe is part of the community, and I haven't really been able to find any info (I also dont expect you to be The One With All The Knowledge, I just need a place to ask) as to whether the event would respect them. ur a gem and I'm so glad you had a blast!!

I found your channel just recently and I love your content and your Mom is super cool (saw the Halloween decor video). I love seeing how artsy and creative you and your Mom are. My Mom and I are like that but unfortunately I don’t have a good relationship with my Mom. I went 15 years in a row at bicolline! This is the best medieval - kinda larp you can experience with a scale that you never experience. You should try it a less once..... Since I'm from montreal.. I need to say. Nous aimons toutes le monde peut importe d'ou vous venez... Je n'y vais plus, mais allez y!

Thank you SO much for being transparent about the pros and cons of The Voyage North! They get a lot of hate, but it is a wonderful way to attend your first year if you have the money, and if you’re coming from out of the country!

this is my fault i had several swords i ended up tossing at the end of the week, i should have offered them to those who didnt have larger swords....

i haven't even found a way to go to a ren faire yet but now my sights are set so much higher 👀
