In particular, there's a very explicit kissing scene with a male caucasian model. Decalcomanie from Mamamoo was released in 2016, Mamma Mia in 2010. Narsha is a member of the still active Brown Eyed Girls group, whose debut dates back to 2006. If you're not familiar with this group, I recommend a reaction to the MVs of 'Sixth Sense' or 'Abracadabra', two of their iconic songs. Wow you really chose the two sexiest songs to put in one video 😅 I also love Egotistic the most, it’s at the top of my list and it has nothing to do with blonde Solar on the pole lol. There’s a “blistering sun” version they released in 2021 in their anthology album and the instrumental goes even harder. I know you’re mostly focusing on the music but it would be awesome for you to check out some of their crack personality videos too, they’re so funny and you are guaranteed a fun time. The video where they’re eating and drinking after the egotistic choreo video was a sneak peak at their tipsy live. They’ve done a few of those where they basically eat, drink, and play games.

Love your question about the white guy as the love interest in the Decalcomanie MV. I never really thought about it and don't recall anyone asking that question before. Moomoos were more interested to learn that he's gay. lol Seems like you didn't notice the first mirror dance between Solar & Wheein. They performed the mirror dance during promotions on one of the music shows. The music used in the intro and kissing interlude segment of the MV is from Memory, a b-side from the same album, which is called Memory. This is a good example of why I hate kpop's misuse of the term "title track" for the main single on an album. I think you're on the right track with the comment about the different vibe of each kissing scene. During their MVs the members often express their own take on the emotion and situation of the song in solo scenes and then they gather together in solidarity at the end. There's probably a fancy lit crit word for that type of format or structure but I just call it the 4 into 1 concept. You didn't get the lemon squeeze?! Um ... what about the cherry popping? I thought the sexual symbolism was so blatant it was wtf comical. Only Mamamoo lol. And after the fruit squishing they removed blindfolds to represent the loss of sexual innocence. MMM songs about love, sex and passion tend to be more visceral and adult than most pop songs, esp by girl groups, and Decalcomanie is a good example. Btw, check out The Lemon Song by Led Zeppelin for an even more blatant use of lemon squeezing as a sexual metaphor. MMM dance practices are almost always chaotic and hilarious. Despite their rep as bad dancers they dance well and Hwasa even won the 2020 MAMA solo dance performance award for Maria. They did most of their own choreo up til 2019 and preferred to keep it simple so they could sing well while using hand mics. In 2019 they started hiring pro choreographers and doing more difficult dances that required the use headset mics for the first time, which they hated. The flamenco guitar intro to Egotistic wasn't included in the Killing Voice session. Egotistic is from the Red Moon album in their four album series 4 Season 4 Color. Each album included a self-composed solo song by one of the members and Moonbyul was the featured member on this album, hence the image of Moonbyul on the flaming red moon. Moonbyul's solo song is called Selfish and it features her close friend Seulgi of Red Velvet. I believe bicho malo literally means "bad bug" but it's used to describe a bad guy. Solar wasn't originally supposed to use the pole but, Solar being Solar, she scrambled to get a one hour pole dance lesson the day before the video shoot and liked it so much she kept it up. Her doctor also approved it as an excellent core exercise to counter the lingering effects of a back injury after a car accident. She soon got good enough to include pole dancing in her version of Despacito during her solo stage in MMM's 2018 concert tour and as Cleopatra to kick off their viral appearance at the 2018 MAMA award show. She also choreographed a double pole dance with her teacher for her 4S4C solo song Hello and you can find the video on her yt channel Solarsido. Great comments about the different things they express in their dancing and their acting in the MV. Egotistic is perhaps the best example of the 4 into 1 concept. In the 4 Season 4 Color project each album represents a season and a color and each title track is about a stage of love in a four part relationship cycle. Egotistic is the Summer/Red song and the stage of love is Passion. In the MV I think each member expresses her own take on Red personality traits and Passion via her actions, props and wardrobe and each member also seems to portray a different stage of leaving an egotistic jerk of a lover. Here's a summary in stage order: Anger: Moonbyul. Strong, independent, confident. She tosses the chair and talks down to him from the balcony. Defiance: Hwasa. Wild, fierce, uninhibited. She stares down the jaguar and takes a bath in the jungle. Revenge: Wheein. Hot-tempered, impulsive. Badass bitch on wheels who wants to burn his butt and dance in the flames. Liberation: Solar. Sexy, sensual, provocative. Come hither looks into the camera, revealing outfits, flies on the freedom pole. You can't go wrong with whatever MMM song you choose next so I don't have a specific recommendation. 😂

The slow part of the MV is from a different song on the album called Memory. I believe the first part of the MMM TV episode was a re-enactment of the mirror dance scene. There is seasons of content on MMM TV that are just BTS video's of them. It's a fun watch.

I have been an ATINY since before we even had a name and Say My Name still makes me feel the same way today as it did the first time I ever heard it! Remember way back when JK would never be seen without a shirt? He and the others would even swim with shirts on. If the camera happened to catch a nip slip, it would be covered in the edits.
