I suppose Big Bang Theory isn’t as funny as I thought it was. But it was comfort food, with plenty of nerdy references and characters I grew accustomed to. It’s a still my favourite American sitcom. (I’m British, so we have sitcoms of our own)

I have a lot of respect for Stephen King, he's been one of if not my favorite author, but i now have to wonder if he's either gone senile, back on coke or if he saw a completely different film from what was released in theaters.

Short answer, after waiting for almost a decade for the flash it sucked. Deadpool and Wolverine was one of the best marvel movies ever with an unreal amount of fan service

Great Vid, got my sub! The whole Barry turning evil thing was already done on CW. Like pretty much the same way (time travelling remnant goes nuts instead of past Barry). CW did Savitar way better in the show (WTH is a "Dark Flash"). That also could've been a reason it bombed. People love the flash, but people are also a little flashed out. Especially after those last two season, they are omitted from my rewatches😂

andy and packer were the worst characters...andy was the most inconsistent character that did not fit into the scheme of things and looked forceful throughout...ed helms was also never really funny in the show...don't know why they kept going with him...

I gave you this view because I had to tell you that your mental gymnastics for this show and it’s cancelation deserves a Gold medal.

The big bang theory exists in an era where even having this kind of interest in the nerd culture by the bigger audience was a blessing. It's faulty, it's wrong, it's unfunny, it's cheap and I agree, your criticism is valid, but if on one hand it's a flawed, shallow (to a degree) show, on the other it has populirized something that was kept away from the public eye, at least where I come from. I can't tell you how many people have written me to come and try roleplaying games, knowing I was a game master after the show started airing, how many aquaintances have picked up interests and I've mentored into becoming full on nerds with computers, simulators, books, tv series, all because poorly written as it was, it was enough to kickstart an interest in hobbies that would have been considered by most too uncool to practice. I owe something to the big bang theory and even tho it hasn't aged gracefully, I will always love it, maybe because of nostalgia, maybe because it was the alarm clock I was waiting for to wake up and recognize that high school was over and I could go look for a company of people as nerdy as I was including maybe a girlfriend. I try to revisit this kind of series only when I feel I can achieve the same mood I had when I was watching it originally and I honestly try to avoid scrutinizing too closely because certain things deserve to be above any criticism for what they did and not for what they were.

Sometimes i think people are just very stubborn about things. The Flinstones - Flintstones thing is an example. The rocks that spark up when struck together are called FlinT stones. But the cartoon has always been Flinstones, without a T. I know because i drew a lot when i was little, and I used to draw the main logo of the cartoon whenever i drew a character. Also i was very good at English and spellings and grammar. So i realised that they, tho similar sounding, were not the same. My friends would always write the wrong spelling for either of those words. Thats why i feel like the Mandela Effect is not a real thing but just people rememberibg something wrong and being admant about it. My cousins are the same way. They think they remember the 90s but they dont. I on the other hand have detailed memories of my childhood and the experiences like my first soda - Coca Cola, my first VHS tape - He Man (the first 6 episodes), my first action figure - Street Hawk. I have good memory.

0:55 Godzilla vs. Kong also came out when many movie theatres were still closed, making its box office take more impressive. People in general and not just fans also complained about how difficult it was to see a lot of the monster fights in the first Godzilla (as this video shows), so in future Monsterverse instalments most of the battles have been a lot easier to see and often take place in daylight. 5:45 BvS reminds viewers about the buildings being empty twice, just to make sure everyone really remembers that no civilians are around, using the news broadcast *and* having Batman mention the area was abandoned.

The Monsterverse had potential, a long term plan for the characters, their stories, with respect for the fans, it could have been great.

I'll put it this way: Gareth Edwards, who arguably saved Star Wars, started the Monsterverse. Zach Snyder, who is arguably deeply polarizing and ambiguous, started the DCEU. Godzilla was followed by Skull Island, who improved in many ways such as a larger more compelling cast of characters, greater visual effort and color, and more action and better pacing. Man of Steel was followed by Batman v Superman: even darker, even more depressing, even less coherent, and even more contrived. Flash was disliked by both fans and critics. Godzilla X Kong was disliked by Critics, but loved by fans. About the Tone: Now, it's a little bit unfair since Toho's going back to Godzilla and given a more Snyder-Nolan esque treatment to the characters so you have a choice between DCEU style portentiousness and themes and darkness and the MCU style colorful action fun, but the fact is you can have both without it being jarring. Having Birds of Prey, Aquaman and Shazam after the earlier films is a tonal 180 and they don't mesh at all, and so we get the tonal mess of the Justice League and Suicide Squad. Godzilla's versatility is just given more justice. And while Minus One doesn't undermine the Monsterverse since it's a very different approach, stuff like The Batman does, since it's covering the same ground and striking the same tone but done better. There's a boldness, a cohesiveness to the Monsterverse that is lacking in the DCEU, far better creative direction, and a solid idea what this franchise is: a revival of the Godzilla films specifically in the Showa era of the 60s and 70s, the Silver Age of Godzilla. The DCEU started off with the typical Snyder ambiguity and deep thematic plunge, and that's just not how you start a universe. Snyder adapts comics, but he doesn't innovate, nor does he expand his taste or imagination, so we have something unpleasant and confusing to start. A film franchise no matter how good it gets later is defined by that first step: again, going back to the Disney approach where Iron Man did something new and bold while setting a tone and world while Force Awakens was creatively bankrupt and shoddy at establishing a setting and characters. Gareth Edwards can do that- he's not a genius but he can grasp what a franchise is about and how to adapt it. Snyder is beholded to his style and to his genre, and it's a poor fit.

They did the nerdy stuff so wrong in this show. If you can, compare the dungeons and dragons episode of TBBT against the D&D episode on Community. I don't play D&D but they didn't make fun of people that do, they took it seriously while TBBT just made fun of people that play it
