I actually like that he's a kid without the baggage. Yes, Uncle Arron was his Uncle Ben but, my god, he actually managed to move passed it in a healthy way where Peter is obsessed with mistakes and uses bad humor to cope instead of addressing the problem (which is himself.)

As a "person of color", I'm tired of the "kids of many backgrounds can relate to a character because of the color of their skin" argument. It's insulting. My favorite superhero growing up was Batman and my favorite wrestler was Bret Hart. Most of the people who mentored me were white. I didn't need any of these people to be "of color", which is just another way of saying "colored folks". They were human with qualities that one should aspire to, regardless of color.

I agree with your take on "people of color" being an insulting phrase. I also agree that people can relate to people of a different skin color but I don't think that's a reason to have white people be the only characters in movies and I think it's important to have a diverse cast of characters in movies.

I'm a die hard Peter Parker fan, but Miles really MIGHT be the better Spider-Man. His extra powers are hard to argue with.

Honestly, idk how it is in the comics. But im guessing he has the extra powers in the movies since a spider from the wrong dimension bit him. I mean no one has special powers except for Miles in the movies

Peter Parker is the stronger Spiderman both literally and as a character... He is stronger physically and has the strongest connection to the Web of Life. ( SPIDEY SENSE )
Also Miles villains and character arcs are so lame. Miles is only ever interesting with the spider verse.
