I've a 92 identical to your bike although it came to me minus any fairing so it's now in naked format. Was laid up 12 years.New battery,fresh juice and it fired up within 30 seconds 😂. I did end up doing a full carb test down and clean up and full service,new pads,bearings etc and,it's a great bike.So far,very reliable

🤔 what an over exaggeration of a star of a video 🤦 ok I rode this road first time on my Harley-Davidson sport glide this year in the wet absolutely tipping down didn't know the road I only had the bike 6 months even though I had been riding almost 50 years also on that ride was my best mate now he hasn't been riding that many years and he had a brand new triumph rocket 3 GT he had that a couple of months and only been out on it about six times short rides up until this ride So BOTH OF THESE BIKES FULLY LOADED WITH TOURING GEAR one is almost 2 litre engine the over 2 and 1/2 litre engine And keep in mind he had never rode a mountain road before on any bike new to biking but on a bike so heavy doing that road first time plus I did not know the road but had the experience but you know what even though we had cars coming at us don't know what all the fuss was about I've rode a lot worse off road on big muscle bikes for a start down the side of a mountain makes me wonder if a lot of these guys and girls that ride these bikes past test get a full licence and then buy the biggest in trend bike they can get their hands on GS African twins all that sort of stuff nothing wrong with it I've ridden loads of them working in the bike trade and every sort of bike and every bike there is But the point is go up through the various cc's instead of jumping when you have no real experience certainly don't ride this road or roads like applecross pass in Scotland or pass of the cross in Wales which most don't even know if you go into do it make sure you have somebody with you that has the experience and knows what they're doing listen to what they say and certainly don't bunch up when going up or down these type of roads the amount of accidents I've seen nobody's got anything to prove apart from a big bill broken bones when they can't ride because of no experience lack of confidence it all comes in time I like many old veteran bikers have all been there at the start with no experience no confidence but the difference was many moons ago there was no RUclips internet so most of these roads back then where word of mouth and was not really heard about if you're going to do these roads and you've never really ridden them especially if you live in a city get a guided tour like I've already said listen to what they say

Its two sharp bends thats all, did it earlier in the year on a BMW 1200 rs age 79 years . Wont bore you about other times but 😀the first on a 197cc Franny B in the 60s in the pouring rain. Just watch Username Kate with her friends do it, all on unfamiliar bikes, no problems

I rode the pass a couple of times ,years ago, on a GS750. Way before the internet and youtube. I thought nothing of it, and struggle to understand why it is so notorious.

Did it recently on my ST1300 Pan European. Got over the pass no problem only to drop my bike as I pulled up on an adverse camber on the other side 😂😂

You have to rev the FZ1 a bit more than you are here to feel its true power. It doesn't really get going until 8k.

Just doing my seals and new pistons on the vfr. I couldn't believe how much crap was under the seals. I'm going to have to find something to scrape it out next job. Thanks for the video!

Pah! Typical day out for me in Wales, that. It's what people are used to. It's a *lot* different to usual riding, that much I'll grant you.

Buses go up the pass....hardly extreme .🙄...especially if you got the slightest bit of balance and clutch control...

Rode the pass just last week east - west on my Bonneville T120 (with my pal on his 1969 Daytona!) - as others have said, it’s no sweat if you concentrate and control your gears properly. That said, it was dry and sunny for us - not sure I’d want to try it in heavy rain let alone snow or ice !!

Hi all. Did this last weekend. It is definitely challenging, especially as my first jaunt out after passing my DAS a couple of weeks before. A lot of firsts for me, first on motorway from London. First on all the passes in Cumbria. Did the knot both ways,and the videos don't do it justice. I dropped the bike on the third try as was in second. Definitely going to do this again

I did it twice last week, when visiting the lake district with six motorcycles. I rode my 2016 Triumph Tiger Sport 1050. The first time, visibility was so bad due to the clouds and dense mist. I could hardly see 3 metres in front of me and my glasses (that I need) were useless, so I had to remove them. It made it a lot more challenging. The second time, we did it in the opposite direction and the weather was superb and clear. That was much easier and I could actually see what we had done the first time. It is epic

Do you get any warning codes since the exhaust valve is disconnected? I’m trying to work out if I need to buy an exhaust servo eliminator or I can just leave the servo wired into the bike but not opening/closing anything. Thanks

Last summer i took my family to the district and not paid enough attention to the signalling of the steepness of the road (direction towards boot). A fiat doblo 1.4 petrol loaded with 4 adults and full boot. I was shitting myself honestly. Probably will want to go back ok two wheels on my own though.

Did this last week in a bmw 440i, was an absolute treat! Automatic transmission was great and had no issues, great fun drive!

I rode Hardknott and Wrynose both ways quite a lot in the mid 1950s mostly on a 1955 Ariel Huntmaster 650cc' I don't see what all the drama is. Keep your revs up watch yoyr line and use the gears and clutch. You need a torquey engine to make it easier. There wasn't so much traffic then which made it easier

I live 15 minutes away from here, regularly ride and drive it. Its amazing how many incompetent people get stuck in cars and vans on this road. I've had to leave my car several times to get other people to the top.

Learn to control your vehicle. There are folk who commute this!!!
