The start of your journey and already the views are magnificent. Glad you stopped on the Honister pass what a nice top and those vintage cars doing that rally. 👌🏻we love the way you enjoyed driving up and down and all the scenery you encountered during your tour. Thank you so much. 🤗👍🏻👌🏻🙋♀️🙋♂️🏍️🏍️
That brought back so many memories. Did those passes with my parents in an A35 van in the mid 60’s Been up since to visit family in Keswick and Cockermouth and I don’t remember the roads being so bumpy 😱😱 You were so fortunate to get such great weather that day, super special, thanks for uploading 👍
Absolutely stunning, that valley you went through was mindblowing and I said "2CV" at exactly the same time as you 🤣🤣 The annoying thing is that I now have another place to add to my motorcycling bucket list 🤦♂️ Great Welsh accent by the way 🤣
Brilliant vid Rob. It's a great place to ride, especially in that weather. Funny how you were admiring the scenery when in my opinion you've got much much better north of the border. Stay safe mate, looking forward to the next one
An absolutely astounding scenic ride, thanks for taking us along and sharing this adventure.😁👍 I don't know if it's the GoPro but those hairpins seemed to get less tight as you went round them? Although I'm sure, given the state of the road they were still pretty nail biting. I've yet to tackle the Baalach Na Ba which looks pretty daunting but the one's on Glen Quaich take some beating. Especially as I was on the ZZR1400 at the time. Going back up the hardknott had to be done, that's one of the most stunning vistas to be seen anywhere.
Thanks mate.. Its definitely not that bad on an adventure bike. It just soaks up the bumps but wouldn't fancy doing it on a sports bike. Yeh the gopro never does give a true rep of it.. Glen Quaich sounds interesting 🤔
@@Lochwood92 There's a video of the Glen Quaich ride on my old channel @ Michael Lilley. What I don't show is how I got to the start of it which is up The Sma' Glen which is also a stunning road but I've showed that several times on both channels. Getting its name from the fact it was strewn with illicit whisky stills, the road being built for soldiers to patrol it. There are three particularly steep hairpin bends, two heading up, one heading down or the other way round if coming in from its other end, which comes out with a view over Loch Tay. Going in the direction I went you climb up the single track road, a loch and snow capped mountains ( time of year dependent) come into view as you reach the crest. I might try it again soon as I'm sure there'll be more snow. Give it a look then sometime, maybe next year, head my way and we can do it together. 👍😀
At first it looked like you were riding a 2 wheeled spaceship & you'd landed here from the future, when all we seen was open top ridiculous cars! 😂👍 The Hardknott Pass is 3hrs 14mins & 148miles from me, so I'll definitely be there at some point mate, cheers for sharing! 😎👍
FFS next time give me some notice ill join you . Need a drone up out there mate . we done kirkstone pass on the way up to see you guys in June. Thanks for put my sticker up buddy ill send you some more soon.
