Low bass is the best
30hz
SPL
Am for low bass. I like it especially at low volumes.
Lows
Low bass is my favorite. I love the air movement and rumbling! High bass is legit too! I’m adding a front sub for the chest thwack
I use to own an 89 blazer with 15's in the back and that bass growled and shook any car that passed me. I would get flagged down so many times because they didn't know what Stroker's could do and I literally had a following before all of this new communication era boomed. Cruis'n on Saturday at the Fort Worth, TX Stockyards was a sight and so many memories. Damn I miss those days but I still have 6 15's in my Cadillac Escalade ready if I see a youngster stunt'n.
A combo of both is what I like 👍🏼
Jacob viral2 just posted a video of this dudes 2 24" subs tuned to 10hz pulling off 4hz. You can see J mans smile. I love the lows, but not windy lows, actually sound speed pressure waves. There is a difference. Its way harder to have powerful lows and good highs or even a flat response. You havent really experienced focused beam lows until you've heard it from a horn. Shit feels violent. Hearing 10hz from a distance @ 160db is terrifying, like thunder. Hearing a song that makes you go OH FAAAk is awsome! AHHH cant wait to get my 12s flexin. 🔊🙉
I also run a sealed home made wild guess at enclosure sized 10” b2 and a pair of 8’zz in a ported box. I was told this was a bad idea to mix sealed and ported in the same trunk but OH MY DOES IT COVER THE WHOLE BOTTOM END
buy a zv6 sundown 15" from my experience better build quality than skar and they just feel better, ofc they sound better but the bass just feels so good compared to my old skar and rockfords. I used to run a Jl w3 too but I felt like Jl is only for sound quality, not even a year in they blew from over playing.
(i forgot to mention im running a 18" nsv6 )
I have tower speakers that can do 40hz with ease. So I can crossover and blend my subs to do everything below 40hz. According to THX bass is 20 to 80hz. I prefer clean low bass. One con to subs with high excursion is once they get low at high volume. The sub can produce mechanical noise and air turbulence depending on the box and distortion. In low bass cone area seems to be more important over high excursion. The average human hearing can hear down to 20hz. You aren't supposed to hear anything below that even though some might. You are supposed to only feel it in the subsonic range. If you hear anything it's more than likely noise making it audible. Generally speaking.
I like no bass 😂
I like bass low and windy, my last box was tuned to 26hz Soundqubed HDX3 15inch
Show us how to adjusted our amplifier to low bass ❤❤
High bass sounds like ass low bass sounds even
Low bass addict over here ✋ I need to have a single 6.5 car subwoofer sound like 3 18s!!!!! One can only dream
I am also a low bass freak as well! Looks like we have a lot in common! Sweet! 👍👍😊😊
Low bass. My limit is 36hz anything passed that is ehhh I grew up listening to high bass and now I think it’s 😴🥱 so easy to accomplish a high bass setup
Just design ported enclosure. Design it to have a flat response from 20 hz to 100 hz.
Flat in that range takes some skill. What you got?
@subdynoman Plenty of skill.

Nothing like strong low bass (around 40hz and below as you state in video). The visceral and auditory impact combined invokes immersion you just don't get at any of the other frequencies, although of course you'd want all frequencies to be able to be played back with authority and clarity for a truly immersive experience, be it music or movies.
Got a few haters in here huh 😂. You’re doing something right ha. I don’t like listening to anything above 40 usually
i have a bandpass tuned to 29 & 40 hz sounds amazing in the car
If you know about Bose no highs no lows. But I’m a BassHead and I love the lows. 36 and below
man i really got clickbaited.... 👀
Frfr 😂
im pretty sure after staring at it for about 10 mins, that 18"skar box might be made outta cardboard and drywall mud...

@@bdc211 Dude, if that's true thats way fuggn cool 😎 I wanted to run a trailer on my ghetto gt turned lowrider bak in those days so...👍🔊🙉
Hey man, I would like to run 2 different sized subs in my room, but when i have both subs on, its less powerful than when I just run 1. I tried adjusting the phase, but that didnt seem to help much. It was still less output than when I ran either one alone at the same volume. You said you had a 18 and a 15. How did you manage that?
maybe try positioning them differently, sounds like they are canceling each other out
How the he'll are you adjusting the phase? Are you connecting them in series or parallel. Post a vid or describe your set up in detail.
@@subdynoman nah u have 2 home theater subs with the built in amps so they both wired separately and on the amps of home theater subs they have either a switch for phase alignment or a knob i have a switch for one and a knob for the other
@aleks5178 you must be severely out of phase somehow, and they are canceling at the listening space or in general.
@@subdynoman no ive tried all the phase aligning provided its just the size of the subs being different
Playing it super loud and low for extended periods must rattle nails loose in the roof and walls etc etc. I've always wondered wut long term affects on the home there could be from 20 years of regular music listening. I've alread become accustomed to using sticky thingy's to keep things in place and pictures from tilting but am curious how it affects homes as i live in an apartment.
My previous enclosure was tuned to 35hz and was more musical (played everything well) than my current box tuned to 33hz but now I get this amplified cabin resonance at 27hz (nice bump in the frequency curve aka free bass) that my last box couldn't do.. I sacrificed a little volume to increase my low end extension and the sound is definitely growing on me.. this new box loves decaf and slowed/ rebassed music 🤘😎🤘
Lmfao this kid is even using a damn Rc car lipo battery charger..WTF THIS HAS TO BE A DAMN PRANK!! no way this guy really believes he is hitting notes below 30hz.
Clearly he is a wizard.
Why not? His enclosure, which is built to play this low mind you, did the job in my opinion.
Not that hard to hit below 30 with his setup.
When I was young I didn't have any of that, I had a whole car battery in my room without a charging source.
Dude also has a car battery and an amp on the wall, why is it so hard to believe. You can see 2 big ass subs moving. Bro get off the games and get some daylight.
Y'all are crazy.this guys subs are $60 each and have a bottom end frequency response of 32hz!! YOU ARE NOT HITTING BELOW 32HZ with that sub man.. go pick up some test tones and you'll see that your entire video is full of LIES!!! Even the movie industry and many professional environments can't reproduce sound in the 20-30hz range. Yet you make a video with some $60 lowend subs in a homemade box USING CAR AUDIO IN HOME AUDIO with COMPUTER power supplies and want to claim you are hitting notes that billionaires can't do..GTFOH!!!
My subs are more than 60$ but that doesn't matter. I definitely am hitting below 30hz and below 20hz because my ported 18 is tuned to 22hz and vibrates the entire room at 20hz. I play with test tones all the time off camera so I know what my subs can play and handle. I can get down to 14hz with authority THEN it starts to roll off. The fs of the 18 is 24hz so playing low notes is a lot easier than high fs subwoofers. My 15 in a sealed box can also play in the 20s with authority. Just because you've never heard a sub play below 30hz before doesn't mean they don't exist.
People play that low all the time. Home theater enclosures are typically tuned lower than 30 hertz. In car audio you can find people doing well over 140 db below 30 hertz. My car with a single 12 does 140's. It's all about first and foremost the correct electrical. Second the right box for the sub and cabin. Is this guys stereo as bad a-- as he makes it it to be? No. Could it play that low? Of course.
Get some sun light dude, the games are messing with your reality
Anything higher then 40hz is high? Man what you smoking? Most of your avg joes can't even hit anything below 45-50hz THAT IS LITERALLY their bottom end low notes.
I agree with him, It doesn't really matter if most people can hit it or not, 40hz up just has not the same effect as 20-30s, the air pressure is just diferent.
Yes he is right. It is literally in the name. "SUBwoofer" 40 to 50 hz is generally the lower end of what a typical woofer will do. The reason there are SUBwoofers.
@@damon20r you people are seriously misinformed! The human ear can't even hear down past 20hz and the vast majority of subs have a frequency response of 20-24hz-500hz.. Saying the high-end of Bass response starts right at the cutoff point of the majority of sub enclosures is downright stupid!! Generally speaking a sub's higher bass notes starts around 80hz and continues to around 150hz that's where your rock and classical music punch hard. Low end bass notes are anything below 80hz think hip-hop and rap which is right where most enclosures start to boom in the 40-80hz range. SUBSONIC bass starts around 20-25hz it's literally in the name below sonic aka below what can be heard!!! If you have a box that's only doing sub 20hz then you aren't hearing jack crap besides stuff around you rattling from their resonant frequencies being hit and all of that sounds like utter garbage and will destroy your subs in short order because the cone is moving very little so the voice coil isn't being cooled and will get cooked quick, which is why amps have SUBSONIC FILTERS !!!!! Go get some bass test tones and I'll bet that will show all of you that you are wrong and your enclosures are booming around 30-40hz not down below 20hz as y'all have calmed.
@solidsnake6405 is correct. Sub bass starts at around 150 hertz. Subsonic bass starts around 25 hertz. If you want a setup that is in no way musical tune to 18 hertz. It's only good for watching movies. 30-35 in my opinion is the best tuning range for a musical sub. Depending on the box and the sub it should play to around 80 hertz. This kid says a lot of false things and is getting nowhere near the power he says with that amp and box rise and bad electrical. One video he said he has a flat response down to 14 hertz. Lol
40-50 hertz is not the typical low end cutoff. Most generic boxes you'd buy at a car audio shop are tuned to 40-37 hertz. Why? Because that's the bass people really feel in their chest and the box can be smaller. A box tuned to 40 will hit into the 30's before rolling off. Where people come up with the things they say is beyond me. My box for example is tuned to 32. It will play down to 25 with good authority depending on how much power I'm applying and will play all the way up to 80 hertz. It does 140's below 35 herts. The claims this guy makes with zero test equipment is ridiculous though. Before making any of these claims he needs an spl meter and an rta. Cheapest spl meter is the spl labs mini. You can also get a calibrated mic for your phone that works with an rta app. Literally a hand held rta for surprisingly cheap.
9 hertz..hahahahahahahaha
Yeah I agree. Watching this video exposes just how stupid this current generation is!! Thinks he is hitting below 30hz with some $60 lowend sub in a homemade box, using car audio with computer power supplies.. LMFAO if I was him I'd delete this video so quick and completely rethink EVERYTHING that I have believed to be true!!
Haters are clowns
@@solidsnake6405 Interesting take. But for someone quick to judge and call others ‘stupid,’ you sure seem pretty invested in critiquing a guy enjoying his hobbies. . Everyone experiments and learns somehow-being dismissive only shows how much you’re ignoring that you’re human too. Maybe consider offering constructive feedback next time instead of clowning someone on youtube. A man acting in good morality, and rationality, will always be known for truth, but no fool thats insensitive will learn h love themselves and others where ultimate peace joy and love lie. If we always want to feel good, and this is your route to feel at home, digging into this young man,is a short term fix for your false sense of selfhood.. no more ego gratification, feeding you into your false delusions of your self. Get to the actual source, and you’ll be at home in all awareness.
@@paulwenzel8914 of course we all tinker and enjoy our hobbies, but I don't make videos with tons of lies that only spread ignorance!!!
I like a system that can play both!
High base 8-14 inch sub, mid base, 12-16 inch sub, low base 14 inch-22 inch base, any bigger it's just going to be to big and cost a lot, but it'll still work good on all above 22 inches
9hz or lower can be hard on ceilings because at that frequency the ceiling will start acting like a passive radiator so it can be scary if your ceiling is thin or weak but I've seen a RUclipsr in the past who would make their ceiling fan blades jump up and down at 6hz while his ceiling was moving with it as well but he had a infinite baffle setup and it was insane on how loud he got at those 5hz-15hz frequencies but sadly his channel got taken down 4 years ago and he has also passed away in 2012 and if you wanna know what his channel name was it's kryptonitewhite.
Tough question. I prefer low bass. Low bass in a car for the wind, and low bass, not boomy bass, in a house makes movies great.
Makes zero sense home subs need to get way lower to get the bass in movies that why most people have a crappy prefab setup and thinks it hits they just don't know shit
Wind is not low bass, you need to hear a horn play the lows, not sure if you have...160db @ 20hz is crazy
i fuq with higher bass because its more audible but lows produced by my 2 rockville k6s and sdr feel hella nice during gaming sessions cuz you can feel dat shi
High resolution 🔊 bass
Also I think high bass and low bass is best for both worlds, Some people like high bass some and others like low bass some people like punchy bass & some like boomy bass.
Awesome video dude! I'm saving up money to run a dual 10-in sealed box for my Alpine W10S4 Subs
yea 10s hit like 12s nowadays
The ghetto at its best.
Yesss! Pure flex!💪💪
I read it as "SUBWOOFERS FLEXING THE NEIGHBORS HOOD" 😂 😁👍 (((BASS HEADS)))
Free rio 😂
I'd say it didn't do a great job, the filter let mids through and it didnt even come close to flexing those subs. lots of distortion it sounds like too.
In person there wasn't any mids coming through, but you're right that it wasn't really flexing the subs and they weren't getting low at all. This worked for me for a while, but I knew I had to get a more powerful amp asap.
Too weak.. subs not happy you need aleast 1200w - 1800w for subs 15"-18" the home outlets is only 15A so max wattage is 1800 watts
