No offense, but discussion about rabies was more mainstream in the early 2000s than what people want to remember. My school in September 2002 was very concerned about rabies that we had a state game warden show up to the school to teach us about both animals and what not to do when you see a fox,owl,or a bat in the daylight.

25 years ago I was bitten by a bat during volunteer bird banding in the eastern outbacks of Germany (where there is rabies highly abundand until today!). Nobody had told me there would be a chance to catch bats in the bird nets and I was in my early twenties and not aware of rabies. So one early morning we had this big bat caught in the net and it bit me hard when I released it from the net. I had tiny bloody spots all over my finger. Next town with a hospital was 10 km away and we did not have a car... I only found out about rabies in bats years later. Boy was I lucky this bat was free of rabies!

They are called St.Agony for a reason. Neuro at that hospitals ER told my dad a CT had dangerous levels of radiation and advised against it after he went in with stroke symptoms. They sent him home. He had GBM (primary brain cancer). So many similar stories to that. They are the WORST. Drive the extra 20min to anywhere else. Added note: the family used the song "Wake me up Inside" for background music on their update page for her while she was in a coma. I'm sure it was because it was her favorite or something, but so fucking funny to log on and have that unexpectedly blasting.

jeannas only a year older than me and growing up on the south shore of boston we were VERY aware of rabies, it was one of the things we were constantly told as we were CONSTANTLY outside..so it wasnt THAT obscure at that time.. they (dr.s) shoulda known..also benzos/diazapam is xanax and can cause serious withdrawals including seizures and psychosis so be very careful

I heard about this case in nursing school. Now that I am a pediatric nurse, it enrages me so much. This should not have happened. One of the tenets of pediatric medicine is that kids are great compensators until they aren’t. Kids crash FAST when they crash, so catching early warning signs is key. If you can catch stuff early, you can literally save lives. Everyone involved in this kid’s care should be absolutely ashamed of themselves.

Petal, please don't take offence to my comment as I have no malintent. There is too much contrast between your lip liner & lip & it looks like a bit like a moustache. Maybe choose a lighter shade of liner, blend it more, or use a lipstick that's darker than your lips to pair with this liner. Funny how all these health freedom people also just happen to sell supplements. No, while I'd never get chemo if I got cancer, that's bc I have systemic CRPS and any poking and proding will only result is ridiculous amounts of permanent pain in someone allergic to most pain killers. I already know that the pain management won't help or give me enough meds to not want to take myself out. Thus I might as well skip all that jazz. However if someone does come up with a good pain killer or fix for CRPS sign me up.

My parents ruined my life by forcing me to have a kid. Now i have systemic CRPS aka the worst form of world's most painful condition. I'm also allergic to pain meds. My parents nearly killed me twice by refusing to get me treatment. My brain stem herniated from a missed TBI and my parents refused to get me help even after I begged. I then ran a fever of 105 and had a brain infection for five days. No, kids should make their own decisions and should be able to see a doctor if they damn well need one. If the law keeps calling eleven year old women, then give us our full rights.

15:00 THIS PISSES ME OFF SO MUCH!!! I have extremely disabling conditions that took 20 YEARS to diagnose because of idiots like this doctor who insist that “looking fine = feeling fine.” Especially women and children are not listened to by medical professionals and it just drives me up a fricken wall. To this day it’s still a huge issue, but I have seen it improve in the last couple years. Social media may be playing a role, or my choosing of better doctors. But this story is gut wrenching on so many levels.

Maybe if it was sooner more action could’ve been taken? But I don’t want to blame anyone other than the perpetrator here. You just popped up in my suggested videos and this is my first time watching. Interesting case. She'd have had better luck finishing nursing school legitimately than stealing identities and credentials. I hope they watch her like a hawk and never let her into a hospital or clinic again unless she's on a stretcher. One thing I noticed though is the repeated mispronunciation of "incurred". It sounds like "curd" as in cheese curd and rhymes with blurred, but you kept saying it as "cured" (kyurd). That can happen if you see something in text but don't hear it spoken. Dictionaries are super helpful and the online ones have a little 🔊 icon you can tap to hear the word pronounced. I'm off to see what other twisted cases you've covered...

Wild story but my grandmother is actually illiterate and landed a job as a nurse, the director told her to never tell anyone she couldn’t read and they trained her. She was an amazing nurse for about 40 years😂😂 she’s finally retired but she was incredible at her job and no one knew. She eventually did learn to read and got licensed but this was before she needed licensing. 😅

I never understand these kinds of people. If you’re gonna go through all this effort to do things the wrong way, then why not just actually go to nursing school at that point? It seems like less time and effort to me than paying fines or jail time, and grooming someone to steal their identity.

I've got colon cancer in its later stages. I'm doomed. I'm just making the most of the time I've got left.
