strange lights : night lapse
Hi Everyone,
These pictures are from one of my experiments with night lapse photography. (Time lapse pictures shot at night). The original collection of pictures is what you'll see as the show starts. I caught something interesting near the end of the series and would love to hear what you think I caught.
I am not calling this a UFO, just saying that it's interesting.
Drop me a note and give me your thoughts.

We had the kids and the grands over for the annual Thanksgiving dinner. Aside from the ton of great food that Peggy made, the kids ran around the house and outside the snow as it was falling. Everyone ate well and had fun. The night was capped off with the entire clan sitting around watching Home Alone. It was a great time. The boys are playing table tennis with a Nerf set that my kids used whe...

We met up with the kids and grands for a ride on the North Pole Express. Of course, everyone calls it the Polar Express. The kids don't care. There wasn't much to look at outside of the train except the dark of night. It would've been cool if there were some scenes or lights for the kids but, it was ok without. Santa madden appearance and gave each of the kids a Christmas Bell. There were also ...

More night lapse photography with a strange light near the end. Check it out and let me know your thoughts. Planes can clearly be seen going through the screen taking around 4 frames. This light in only in one frame and when I enlarged the section of the frame, the light is not a round shape like a star. Not sure what to make of it but it is interesting.
Miami River 7 Oct 24

Hi Everyone, Jim & I fished the Miami River yesterday from Piqua down to Troy. The water was super low, the temps were on the cool side, I spilled my coffee trying to launch and only got a couple of sips from it. The fishing was really tough as we finished the day with only 20 fish between us. I lucked into a smallmouth that qualified for the "Fish Ohio" program. The Ohio DNR will send me a lap...

After a month long stretch without rain, we finally got some relief. There were 3 periods of heavy rain yesterday. Last night we had a good thunderstorm approaching and at the last minute it veered north and passed us by. I got a little footage of some lightning flashes. Enjoy

Hi Everyone, My first thought about yesterday's outing was that there would be no report or video because the trip was miserable failure for me. 7 hours on the water with no fish. After giving the matter more consideration my decision was that Jim had a couple of good catches and deserves some recognition. There is a bit of fun poking going on in this video so up front, forgive me. Enjoy,
Grand River 2024 day 2

Hi Everyone, The second day on the river was much more productive than day 1. One of my goals going into this trip was to mix it up and catch fish on as many different baits as possible. Even though the wacky worm was working extremely well, on day 2 I took it off for a large portion of the day so I could throw, swim baits bottom baits and topwater baits. The fish seemed to be much more active ...

This is day 1 of my annual trek to the Grand River. My goal was to catch fish on as many different lures as I could. The bite was such that I had to throw what was working. The lures that caught fish were the wacky worm, spinner bait and rooster tail. Although the day ended with 32 fish in the boat, 8 fish came unbuttoned and it was a combination of things causing this. First, the fish were jus...

Hi Everyone, Jim & I have had our eyes on a stretch of the Miami River starting in Quincy OH and ending at the Baker Rd bridge. It looks really good on google maps and it was a stretch that neither of us had fished before. Each year my goal is to fish at least 2 new bodies of water. Yes, I count different stretches of river because it's water I've never fished. We met at 7, shuttled vehicles an...

Hi Everyone, We've passed a spot on the Miami River hundreds of time as we drive through Dayton. Many times I have commented that it would be fun to fish that spot. When I looked at it closely to figure out how to get there on surface streets, I figured out that it was off of Helena Rd very near Triangle Park. This morning I decided to give it a whirl. That is a sketchy part of town so it was h...

Hi Everyone, Peggy & I walked through Carriage Hill Park today. It's one of several metro parks here in the Dayton area. It has lots of trails, woods, a lake and a small pond. Lots of flower and animal life as well as a healthy population of bee's butterflies and other crawlies. We had never been there before and it's only 15 minutes from the house so we thought it was time to check it out. Enjoy

Hi Everyone, Tom & I floated the Stillwater River yesterday and what a day it was. On Monday we couldn't buy a strike at Stone Lick Lake, yesterday was the complete opposite. We had fish in the boat in the first 10 minutes and continued to catch fish until the end of the day. Almost everything I threw caught fish. The only lure that I was not successful with was my curly tail grub. I'll take th...

A drone close and in a steep bank. Otherwise it would be flat.
I've never seen a drone capable of sitting that still.
Brighter than the stars, or planes. Have to assume it's in the atmosphere . Maybe a drone.
Hey man, I have come up with some experiments that will tell me, 1. Is the object near or far, 2. Is the object reflecting light or is the object an actual light and finally I hope to figure out if the object stayed in frame for 15 seconds motionless or, if the light was simply a strobe that flashed for such a short time that it created the illusion of motionlessness.
You say the shutter was open for 15 seconds for this shot? Then this could be an “object”, not just an airplane or a satellite moving like the other shots you got. Very interesting.
Hi Ed, I have come up with some experiments that will tell me, 1. Is the object near or far, 2. Is the object reflecting light to is the object an actual light and finally I hope to figure out if the object stayed in frame for 15 seconds motionless or, if the light was simply a strobe that flashed for such a short time that it created the illusion of motionlessness.

I have often wondered if I would report seeing a UFO if I thought that I had seen one. Same with bigfoot, or any other cryptid animal. Ten years ago I would say absolutely not. Now, maybe. There was a mythological animal called the "Chupacabra". It was a canine believed to drink the blood of its victims, usually farm animals but sometimes people. It was dismissed, (by me as well), science and biology specialists saying that canines didn't drink blood or leave a carcass behind after consuming blood. Well guess what, in 2010 in Cheri TX an animal was killed that turned out to be a hybrid. This animal had Mexican wolf, coyote and an unknown DNA in its mix. It is the Chupacabra and it's real. The day before it was shot by a farm owner the animal killed 5 chickens and drank their blood and left the chickens behind. It's real. We have identified 2/3 of the DNA makeup but the fact remains that an animal that had been reported for over 100 years and scoffed at by science, turned out to be real. Am I saying this is a UFO? Absolutely not. I have no idea what this is.

Your footage from behind the fence shows how difficult it would have been to hit a target moving from left to right. Oswald had an easy shot from the sixth floor, with the target moving away. What do you believe was in the parcel? Curtain rods? Why make a custom brown paper wrapping with paper from the TSBD just for curtain rods? Where did the curtain rods come from? What happened to the curtain rods? Why did he need curtain rods at his rooming house, which already had rods? Why did Oswald deny to the police ever having a parcel at all; only his lunch? You can probably tell, I believe the package contained a rifle. Btw, the first X on the street is the second shot. The first shot missed.
Frazier was clear that the parcel was too short to contain even a dismantled Carcano.
@@KennethPoole-y7z Frazier was wrong. The sack was 38 inches long. It is WC Exhibit 142.
@@KennethPoole-y7z Frazier wasn't clear at all. He consistently said, several times, that he wasn't paying attention to the parcel. Read the testimony. And you didn't answer the question - why did Oswald deny having a long parcel at all - only his lunch - effectively saying that Frazier and his sister were both lying?
@KennethPoole-y7z No, he wasn't clear about that. He said that he only "glanced" at the package and that he "wasn't paying it much attention".
@@dab. No, he said it was too short and that LHO held it with a cupped hand underneath and tucked under his armpit.
Good memories!
We had a really good time. The kids wanted to watch Home Alone so we did. They were belly laughing at the movie and it made it fun for me to watch them while they watched the movie. I hope your Thanksgiving was good. We should wrangle Ken out for another breakfast before Christmas.
Our kids are grown but our son has 3 that we have so much fun with! Those days are forever days! I’d like to go out again with Ken. I can give him a call. When’s good for you? Is your knee holding out good enough to go out?
Horrible soundtrack 🎶🎶🎶🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤮
Fun times!
It looked like a galaxy to me.
The math is what makes this strange. The shutter is open for 15 seconds. That means this object was hovering for over that amount of time. We know it didn't move because there is no tell tale streak in the picture. We know it isn't a helicopter because there are no signs of a strobe or directional lights required by law. Something popped in and out of the camera without showing signs of movement. Kelly
@ That is strange.
I’m glad for you Kelly and I hope you get your suspension repaired successfully. Have a good winter.
Hi Ed, Surgery is over and I am on the mend. This will be a bit longer than the first time they did repairs so that's why my fishing year is done. I'll be on crutches until mid NOV.
Nice video
Thanks, I appreciate the comment.
miss you hom❤
I like your videos Kelly.
Thanks Ed! This stuff is really fun for me.
You had the good days fishing we all wish we could have and they hit on just about everything. Way to go!
The Grand River is almost unbelievable. This was my 6th time there and every time has been magical. Every year I look forward to those trips and always come back with good stories.
Bad day (for some), NICE FISH (for others). Sorry Kelly.
I have all but given up on Kiser. That used to be such a good bass lake but the Ohio DNR put wipers in as a test lake. They have devastated the bass population and it will take a long long time to recover.
Yes I would.
Let's get with Ken & make that happen.
@@kellyfish1957 Let me get hold of him and set up a day.
@@kellyfish1957 I got hold of Kenny and he’s all for getting coffee. He has a lot of doctor’s appointments so we would have to set a time when he’s free.
I’ll have to try it. Thanks.
You put out good videos despite the heat and the low fish count. Thanks Kelly.
It was tough shooting this one. The heat was surprisingly small in the whole mix of things. The low water was the killer. We couldn't find fish and had to drag those kayaks hale way around the planet. Kayaks are in fact boats and you're supposed to ride in them. That's not the way most of our day worked out. Ken Selz has been talking about getting together for coffee sometime. Would you like to join us?
awesome vid my guy
Thank you. The fish in the Miami have been very fickle lately.
I’ve never caught that many on the Stillwater! I’m using the wrong bait I guess.
If you have never tried a wacky worm, you should. It's good from a boat or on the bank.
It looks like you and your wife had a good day. Good picture-taking! Good music too!Keep bringing it Kelly!
I ended up with a small rash on my right leg. I thought it was poison ivy but my wife & daughter think it was hemlock. I knew it was poison but didn't know it caused rashes like poison ivy. Thanks for the kind words.
A fun day!
I have not fished much south of town. Now I have fished from Miamisburhg to Franklin, Franklin to Middletown and I want to keep working my way south to Hamilton. It's still the Miami River but new water to me. The variety of fish seems to change a little with the different sections. I catch more pike and saugeye up north, There are white bass and stripers in the southern areas. They're all fun to me. Thanks Ed, Kelly
Lots of fun and memories!
Good fun! I’m too old for this, you can have it.
Hey Ed, I am probably too old for some of the things that I do but until I can't get up and do them, I'll keep going. It is a fun game. It's a hell of a workout too.
Good looking family!
Thank you Ed.
It's funny how when they arrested Oswald, he attempted to shoot a cop with the same gun he had just used to murder a police officer 10 minutes before!
The fact that he drew his revolver in the movie theater certainly suggests guilt. Maybe guilt over JD Tippett. As far as his role at the book depository, ask yourself this, would anyone commit the assassination with absolutely NO escape plan? Oswald was smarter than that.
@@kellyfish1957 Oswald totally expected to get killed. Did you ever hear of a "consciousness of guilt"? Oswald displayed that from the time he dropped his rifle behind the book case's right up to his arrest.
@@bluzzedude8111 In 1963 the police were definitely more trigger happy however, if your theory is true, why did he try to evade capture?
@@kellyfish1957 He said that Oswald expected to get killed, not that he wanted to get killed.
Witnesses put LHO in the theatre at 1:07, the time Tippit was shot. LHO could not have shot Tippit.
Yeah, he was carrying "curtain rods" right? Please. A man doesn't react the way Oswald did and NOT be guilty. Period! His own brother, the last family member to see him alive, said " If he was innocent, he would've been raising the roof in that station but when I sat down across from him, he was eerily calm and just kept saying "everything is going to be alright brother. Everything." Lee Harvey Oswald shot JFK. Period. If there was others involved, which I doubt because Oswald did NOT work well with others, there's not one shred of real evidence. I've always been willing to concede the involvement of others, but Oswald was THEE only shooter in Dealy Plaza. Go online and pull up the "Mooreman" photo and look at it. It was taken at the exact same time as the head shot. You can see Abraham Zapruder in it but you can also see 3 men standing on the steps in front of him. All of them, relaxed and just watching the motorcade. I don't know if you've ever been forward of a rifle muzzle, but let me tell you...it's LOUD. Deafening, concussive, so if there was a shooter there, you don't see THAT picture. You see those men cowering on the steps with their hands over their heads. Zapruder and his secretary would've jumped out of their skins...but they heard nothing. You gotta put the small things in with the evidence kellyfish and not one thing exonerates Oswald in any way. I usually don't even comment on this case anymore because people don't know how to control themselves but you seem reasonable.
Here's my question. If the kill shot came from the book depository the bullet would have entered the President's head from the back of his head. The McGruder film shows the president's wife reach back to the trunk area to retrieve a part of the president's skull that means the kill shot had to come from the front of the vehicle into his forehead. This could mean there was more than one shooter just say'n.
You're exactly right. In my video you can see the knoll snipers view of the headshot. It clearly came from the knoll. Math & science do not allow for a single shooter. The first shot hit Kennedy around frame 210 -215 of the Zappruder film. Connolly was hit around frames 236 -238. That's 21 - 24 frames and just a little over a second. It takes 2.4 seconds to cycle the Manlicher rifle so there simply isn't enough time for a single shooter.
Kennedy's head was thrust forward the instant the bullet hit him in the back of the head. Whatever jerked his head backward after that wasn't the bullet.
It was a sad day.
I was in4th grade. Our teacher was crying openly.
I was in the first grade. Our teacher answered a knock on the classroom door. Whence came back in class her face was beet red and she was crying.
thank you
You're welcome.
Kelly, I've been there and have studied the event. And I'm among those folks, who believe that LHA was alone and got 3-shots off. The 1st shot hit the light-standard and richocheted to the far curb, with fragments hitting a man further away.
Count the time between the first shot, frame 210 -215 and the Connolly shot at frame 236 -238. It's 1.6 seconds. Not enough time to cycle the bolt action and re-fire. One shooter is not physically possible.
@@kellyfish1957 The first shot is estimated to be around frame 155, the second shot at frame 224. That's 69 frames at 18.3 frames per second, for about 3.7 to 3.8 seconds between the first and second shot.
@@kellyfish1957 It's very clear in the Zapruder film that JFK and Connally react to getting hit by the same bullet, around frame 224.
@@kellyfish1957 No the first shot was much earlier, before the car disappeared behind the sign. Look at the Z film. You can see Connally and Jackie both suddenly turn to their right to look towards the sound of the first shot - Connally starts to turn at frame 160 and jackie already turning by frame 170. Allowing for reaction time, that places the first shot at around frame 155. Connally and Kennedy were hit by the second shot, while the limo was behind the sign. You can see them both reacting at the same time as the car re-emerges. Look at frame 222 and see how Connally has clearly already been hit - his head thrown back with expression of pain. Kennedy re-appears at frame 225, raising his hands to his throat, already hit. That allows around 3.5 seconds between first and second shots.
@@9Ballr Not so.
Do you have any still shots of the signs in the buildings? It would be nice if they were added to the video. Thanks for creating and posting.
Not sure what signs you mean.. I have a ton of stills but didn't take any shots of the info placards. in the museum.
Am i hearing tornado sirens in the video or is that just me?
We didn't have any sirens that night. You may be hearing a siren from a fire truck. They were very busy that night. Thanks for watching.
I’ve probably caught more fish on a trap than any other lure. What you caught and almost caught were really good ones. Way to go!
Thanks. In the video I did a mid day update and said it was a grind. It was tough tough fishing. When I say that I am a good fisherman, it's not bragging. There are lots of videos to back my claim. When I can't generate a strike, it's really frustrating and challenging because 9 out of 10 times on the water I can get the fish to bite. Yesterday they showed me that I am NOT in charge. I agree with you, when I am lake fishing I lean heavily on lipless crank baits. In the last few years my bait of choice is the Strike King red eyed shad series. They have some good color patterns and fish seem to really like the profile.. Kelly
@@kellyfish1957 I like Strike King but I haven’t used that lure. I like their spinnerbaits and have used them just about exclusively. You produce good videos; I enjoy them. I think you’ll have a good year. Take care.

I go bass fishing, but sometimes catch something else that I didn’t even think about when I got up that morning. I caught a yellow belly cat on a plastic worm. I thought I had a monster bass, but it was a slimy yellow belly. It was fun, plenty of fight, but it slimed my line up to where I had to cut the line to get rid of it. Still a fun day though. Have a good one Kelly!
It has happened to me a few times this year. Mostly when I catch some other species it will be a saugeye or pike.
Yeah, I would expect to catch a catfish on a worm much more so than a spinner bait. It's kind of fun catching something unexpected.
I gave the catfish throw a 9.5.
I felt bad because the water was shallow and he nosed into the mud. He swam off and was ok but it still wasn't nice to do. Kelly
Excellent. Awesome deep bass sound from the thunder.
I hope that this summer creates another opportunity for me to do this again. I love it. Thanks!
