Experience the full London Marathon 2023 from a first time marathoner. This really is a special marathon that I wish everyone could experience! My full race day vlog from the TCS London Marathon 2023. A special day I'll certainly never forget.
It’s always so touching and inspiring to see runners like you who pushes through obstacles. Huge congratulations 🎉
Thanks so much! A minor setback in the big scheme of things, but I'm always very inspired by what others are doing. That's why I love running so much!
Great work at the Sydney10, super solid result! And thanks for sharing Dr Will's website, some pretty handy and useful stuff actually
Nice one man, really great to hear your new approach to it all! And looks like you're off to a strong start already, hope training goes well, will definitely be following along 💪
Thanks so much Rob! Congrats on an epic run at GC, hope you're stoked with that.
@@RunningWithTK Thanks heaps Tim, I didn’t plan the race as well as I should’ve but fortunately things went alright for the most part! Now it’s time for some rest and recovery… hopefully I’ll catch you at Sydney harbour 10K, C2S or Sydney mara haha
You’re back and with 3 new videos! Great news.
Thanks so much! Glad to making running videos again!
Love the video, what watch are you wearing?! It looks so thin.
Thanks so much! My daily watch is just the Galaxy Watch6 Classic
See you on the course! going for my first marathon - Sydney 2024
Epic! Enjoy the training and all the best for it 🙏
I just found out that I'm running Sydney this year too. I blew up last year, hoping to finish feeling strong this year around a similar time.
Amazing! 😊 Last year sounded tough in that heat. I was still pretty bummed to miss it though. I hope the training is all going well this year! 💪
Great approach. Just be as fit as possible.. And of course enjoy running and don’t overthink it. Running is basically a simple sport Will for follow your journey 💪🏻 Greetings from Netherlands.
Thanks so much dude! ✌️ Such a great point you make, so easy to overcomplicate a very uncomplicated sport. And definitely always enjoy 😊
Amazing video mate! Congrats on your PB. Doing under 60min with an average HR of just 156. I wish I could do this :) Also plan to do 60min but looking to have around 170bpm on average to achieve that.
Thanks so much mate! Hopefully back around this pace this year - had a decent injury right after this last year so a bit slow getting back to it! I'm pretty surprised it was only 156, that should be closer to marathon effort - from memory it felt much tougher than that 😂 But good luck with the training and the sub 60✌️
I’m a nurse . Is this a good shoe for my occupation?
Im not sure for nursing but they are very nice and soft on feet after a long day they keep your feet very comfortable after standing for a long period of time the only thing I think may be a problem is that they are not very grippy if that makes because I know that nurses got to have a nice grip or no slip shoes but I would give it a 7 for nurses not bad but not the greatest. Hope that helps
Wadda machine
I ran twice on this and I had to sell them, I trusted the hype and I fail, Now I have the New balance FuelCell Rebel V4 and it's a different world!
Well done! This was inspiring to watch!
Thanks so much!
Dude ur so lucky!
Hmm.. Where do I know this guy from. Did I meet him when I was in Sydney. Wait a minute... It's TKNORTH😂 I've followed your TKNORTH channel for a while (got all the presets) and just got the Cloudmonsters and here we are. Definitely will follow this channel too🙌🏼
Yooo thanks so much for the support! This is more my hobby / fun channel but finding it hard to keep up with both 😂 hoping to get back to it!
Wow great to see you back Tim and well done for holding on all the way to the end! Enjoyable vlog as always, and now I definitely have to try the Tokyo Marathon someday haha, anyways keep it up man 🙌
Thanks so much Rob! Hope to finally start building some fitness now but just happy to be back running again. All the best for GC build mate, looks like you're flying!
This was very cool
Thanks so much!
So good dude! We should run sometime!
THanks so much! Always keeeen
Absolute gun. Congratulations my friend.
Big thanks Hoj! When you joining me? 😝
Sooo inspiring xx
Thank youu!
hey TK - did you get my message about using this video as part of the BBC TV coverage of the event this year? thanks so much! would love to use if we can. Phil
Love this video! Have just dropped you an email about using it if possible in this year's TV coverage on the BBC of the event. Would be great to hear back from you as soon as you can. Thanks so much! Phil
amazing video... very emotional.
Great vlog. Very emotional at the end. Great time. You will never do anything as hard or as rewarding as the marathon. Physically and emotionally it takes all youve got. London is an amazing event. I was running too ( back again this year for my 9th London ).
Awesome video, Tim! Would you recommend this shoe for flat-footed people like me?
The most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. The entire sole is like little shock absorbers.....W0W!!!
Do you like them for standing still as well as walking? I’m interning at hospital this summer for school and currently my feet get SO tired
I use them as a walking shoe. I also have a insole that lifts up the arch of my foot. Also look up foot exercises and soaking your feet in Hydrogen peroxide. I plan to buy another pair of Clouds for casual wear when I'm not @ work! good luck .
I bought them yesterday and I had to go again today because as you said, W0W!!!! I am ready to give away the rest of my shoe collection

Nice! gr8 to hear.
Amazing!!!!!!!. I've tried severally to get into London & had visa issues as well but I will be there on April 21st 2024 by God's grace to finally get this feeling in person after running London virtually thrice 🥲. I can't wait... Even if it'll be just 6/7 days after my Rotterdam marathon. Thanks for capturing the emotions in this manner
I was lucky enough to get a spot last year too through lottery & got emotional remembering it as I had dedicated to my father who passed August 2022. I was hoping under 5 but just missed 5:03. Crowds were epic. Congratulations well done.
LOVE THIS ❤️
Damn he just threw shade on use in the states😂😂😂 using miles
Your comment about weight is spot on. Im 87 kg and run 200+ miles every month. Sadly ive discoverd many shoes reviewed as comfy for distance ( hoka mach 4 for instance) dont work for me as the weight i carry is too much for them . Trial and error has left me using novablasts and Adidas pro 3s . Ps I measure all my distance in miles (over 6300 in 32 months ) as im not french 🤣🤣 thanks for review.
I love these shoes but on longer days I always reach for my Hoka Mach 5
Great work. You really captured how hard you were working near the end of the race! I’m trying to watch as many London Marathon videos as I can. I’ll be there for 2024!
How do these compare to the Clifton 9's?
Tbh no comparison!! I have them both and these feel more a part of u as opposed to a bulky foam on my feet
Mate, great video, great review. Best one i've seen! Keep it up.
100 miles for those living in the past?
ill be running my first ever marathon this coming dec. 3 here in Singapore. I needed this so bad. thank you for sharing and documenting your experience. you empower me and get back to my training. /respect.
You're so welcome, glad it had that effect! Wishing you all the best for December, hope the training is going well! 😁
I never ran below 4 hours in my life. Wish to do once in my life time.
The stupidest thing to run on asphalt.
Would these be good to wear during long baking days for support for your feet? Of moving around a lot, not necessarily to run in. I won these in a competition and I'm too unfit atm to be a runner 😂
Just wear them and develop your own opinion.
@@awpetersen5909 you're a ray of sunshine.
Good question. Standing a lot cooking and baking hurts feet. Looking for a shoes that helps these.
@@awpetersen5909hands down one of the most useless comments on RUclips 😂
Doing london next April for my first full. Done a few halfs around 01:38 so hoping to go sub 3:30, out of interest dude what was your half pace going in to your 3:30 attempt? Thanks for a cool video! Could really see how much you dug deep and enjoyed it
Thanks so much and all the best of luck next April! I think you'll do great if you've built up the distance nicely from those half marathon times. I think in London I split just under 1:45 at halfway. I was pretty much right on 5min/km up until 30km but then started to fall off a bit!
Does the toe box wide ?
Out of 80,000 people you filmed me grooving to music at 3min 😂
Amazing video - well done 👍
Thanks so much for that!
I hope your training is going well mate! I'm coming down from QLD for the Syd Marathon (my first) - hoping for under 4 hrs but as we get closer, I'm coming to terms with the idea that it might be safer and more enjoyable for me to focus on the experience, rather than my time in my first marathon distance run - felt like your video here was on-point! Subscribed and looking forward to more content in the future!
Thanks so much mate! Training sadly has been very up and down for a few reasons the past few weeks but hopefully back on track now. Hope yours is all going well!! That's epic, my advice would be totally still go for that sub 4 if training is all going well, but still go out there with the intention of enjoying the experience if you don't quite make it! I definitely think for the first one you never really know what to expect, so having that goal of just enjoying it is always a good one! You've probably heard it before, but definitely the best advice is to start off nice and easy. It's so easy to go out too quickly and probably suffer quite a bit more later on. Always best to start off slightly slower, then pick up later on if you're feeling it :)
Thanks mate - On the day I know that I should start slow.... theoretically. In practice I find it far to easy to be swept up in the excitement! I hope you've managed to finish your training to plan - I'd love to see a vid about tapering for beginners - I'm muddling through, but I'm both very tempted to go a little further, and terrified of hurting myself in the final weeks. Keep up the great work!@@RunningWithTK
6 weeks until my first marathon, I needed to see this! Thanks for putting it out there, it's inspiring!
So welcome and so glad it was helpful! I hope your training is all going well and good luck on the day! Enjoy the whole experience :)
8 weeks for mine, and I'm super happy to see have come across your video, positive vibes all around and that's what we need in this world
I did VLM 19, ran every step and loved it. Virtual in 20 and London again in 21. I hit the wall in that one, 19/20 miles and legs felt like lead after I ran the start too fast. 33 years (and counting) as a soldier and finishing that was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. The pain is very much real! Well done, amazing effort and a great vid. I’ll be back on the start line in April (running for the Wooden Spoon Society), probably my last marathon and the first as a fifty year old! Maybe see you there?!
Must add, all three much slower than you! 😂
Thanks so much for checking out the vid! That's such an awesome effort. I always hear a marathon starts at 30km and for me even in training and current training for another marathon - after 30km is always when the legs gradually start to go! It's also so easy to start out too quickly, especially in such a big race environment like London! I would love to be back in London in April but unfortunately not next year. I have a few other marathons planned though! Best of luck with London next year, above all enjoy it! Such a great experience to be a part of.
This is awesome and so many similarities with my journey. I also ran London in April as my first ever Marathon 3:37 (3:30 was my goal) now I’m 5 weeks away from my next and as much as I’d love sub 3, my aim is 3:10 for Chicago qualification
Sounds like we are on a very similar path mate! Congrats on the first finish and time, it's addictive isn't it haha How is your training all going for the next one? I'm 2 weeks out now and I think 3:10 is probably more the shape I am in as well. But we shall see, sadly the Sydney course is also quite hilly 😂 Best of luck with Chicago qualifier! Got this 💪
@@RunningWithTKhow did you sub 3 go? I missed my 3:10 goal by 0:01:56 - super happy with that though! sub 3 on the horizon now!!
Running 3.37 is nowhere near sub 3. Running 3.10 is nowhere near sub 3.
@@maipai4282 not sure what dafuq your chatting on about, what a shit unproductive coment. Who mentioned those times being near sub 3? I know what its going take and I know I'm not there yet
Let’s go TK
Yooo thanks bro! Lesssgo
