how much power is that onkyo putting out? I have a marantz slim and it's 50w/ch. is that too much for these FRD?

are there larger full range drivers out there that can be used? why always the chn-50? why not something different like a 3-driver setup (2"/4"/6" or 2"/4"/8")? yes, more drivers equal more cost but there are budget oriented drivers that perform well w/o breaking the bank. You've gone this far w/all of the equipment, the shop, and the software, so few more dollars/euros isn't a huge concern. Can you replicate the Nautilus spiral speaker or other exotic shape on a "DIY" budget?

The Aiyima is not good, we (the German DIY HiFi Forum) measured it; a 5db dip below 1khz and high Fs, other Chassis may cost a little bit more but deliver big time.

2:46 i will not ask for tweeters as high notes, full range speakers cover it in part since you went analog and have to power it external from an amplifier. 4 drivers at 5 watts 4 ohms can run on 8002 smd mini amps. usb power, and can sound great. cheap to build and, have that sound bar used where you need it. but, the inclosure ideea is great, a+ for that effort. i am sure my comment will be lost in the sea of other comments, stil, great job

I prefer the sound of TB10D compared to ZA3 monoblocks. I use the TB10D to drive a pair of 6ft tall Genesis APM-1 speakers and it sounds like a dream. I have owned expensive, heavy amps like Krells, Threshold, Parasound, Lumley and Grant valve amps and the sound of this mini TB10D just blew me away. I don't use any preamp at all...I plug it directly to my CD player and it sounds very detailed and transparent. The only reason I bought the ZA3 is because of their XLR input but quite disappointed because the TB10D sounds better.

Can you drive cassette player and vinyl on same unit? If not, can you Suggest any small amp similar too that one you review? Listen most at death metal and electro. Love to check if it works in sound.

Dayton Audio DATS V3 is freakin' AWESOME. I scared myself not reading the dox 1st, though. All I saw was "Test Impedance" and hooked my newly arrived DATS V3 to a standatd 46mm Piezoelectric transducer and "LO!" I was set. weird thing is the Windows app or the DATS V3 was not acting right for anything further in the app.

It looks like people are not aware that this is an programable DSP amplifier . With the ACPWorkbench software one can adjust the DSP to his taste . One of the weaknesses is the USB storage - only FAT32 formatted drive will show no more than 257 songs . After DSP adjusting is totally worth the money .

I picked up some LLoyds 9V88W speakers. I think they are from the 70's. I paid 1.00 each. Cabinets are well braced inside. Material used is some type of plywood. Plywood was stained. I want to replace the two minimal drivers with a full range driver and add veneer to the cabinets. How about a driver suggestion, up to 55.00? Better yet, suggest a driver you want tested. I like tones from acoustic guitar. Thanks.

I wouldn't really call this a transmission line such as a quarter-wave resonator. To me it looks like a base reflex just with a very long and wide port.
