Part 11 - Rough Trade Farewell Concert 1986 - Credits
It’s hard to imagine the guest was born in 1866- before the civil war!
Really nice to see them younger here, in 1952, and good to see an earlier one with Hal Block, Also, the Stopette commercials are interesting to see.
Arlene Francis (1907 -- 2001) was Armenian American, her birth name is Arline Kazanjian. It took me a number of years to find that out, because she could easily pass for Jewish.
I love and miss John Denver. Rest in Peace, John
The translator guy's having a blast for some reason. Seems like he's the happiest person in the studio.
The best sanger off all whith se gitaar playing and voice and song,s and humor and spirit for or natuur
Wonderful episode and guests fooled the panel this time ! 🤠
I like Ernie Kobacks very much.
For me, some of the most beautiful moments that come about in this show are when they have Japanese citizens as guests to share their "unusual" occupations. This is because, in the case of our pearl diver, it has been only 11 years since Japan surrendered, now at the close of World War II; and since the Japanese were our enemy, if you will, when we see on this show such respect and loving recognition that the panelists give to each and all of the Japanese guests--no matter their age, it always gives me hope that, when human beings can forgive each other and move on in a spirit of common friendships, we have all become winners.
It makes me think about Russian-Ukranian future.
This is a defected recording.
This is not Dusty at her best. I love her, always have.
Thys is so rigged,,,
Does anyone know that John Daly’s Father In Law was Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court Earl Warren?
Hate trophy hunters.
I like William Bendix very much, he was so talented. I am surprised they didn't recognize his voice though because he was not doing too well at disguising it.
Interesting that Dorothy and Bennett were educated and supposedly well travel people, yet, they didn't know Jacques Cousteau. Their ignorance of him is stunning. Not wonder he and John were amused.
Forgot how hot Ann Sheridan was.
When she sings, Janet sounds like Shirley Jones.
I was two years old. Now I am an old man. 😢😢😢😢😢
Some guys would whistle at anything. 😅
SMOKING ON TV. bad bad bad
My Late Father's 40th Birthday.
I can only imagine how lousy these kinds doors looked when the show was telecast on the west coast, where they were not live.
I got a kick out of the laughter Bennett’s question about his possibly using a fire hydrant. The audience caught the idea he had later, that they are used by dogs.
Would you like to be on top? : )
Yay! Phil Rizzuto got the second one. I hope they will have him on again.
Mrs. Hartley, some people get what they reap.
Mrs. Hartley is a strange bird!! ( was)
Listening to John sing “I want to live” what a beautiful song!!! My favorite song with the most special words and feeling !!!
Love this shows
She ( they ) sure set the trend back then! ( and before ).
Dusty and Carole (81-82
Oh John do we need youtoday.,2024.✝️✝️✝️❤️❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸🕊️
Ann Sheridan had the richest most beautiful voice and was SO talented
Love how the panel enjoy themselves.
Ralph Houk also managed Detroit and Boston and in the 1966 season after replacing Johnny Keane as manager the New York Yankees crashed to a 63-96 last place finish.
I just loved Charles Laughton and his wife and wwill remember remember burgess meredith as the penguin as seen in reruns of batman and robin
wouldnt it be nice to have all the shows between 1951 and 56
Mrs. Hartley is the most astonishingly dense and unresponsive contestant I have seen on WML.
I just can't handle Hal Bloc. Even if he wasn't a leering pervert he's still a cheese eating cornball with about as much humor as a concentration camp.
I feel for the generations who will never see or feel this type of music again. He was love. He was talent. Times were so much easier. Goodbye self serving World. I’m done.
My heart just dropped when Williams noted he "even flies his own plane."
Claudette really seemed lovely.
1956 was a stand out year for this show hands down.
Anyone know when John flipped all the cards over for the first time?
I absolutely love all of the What’s My Line panelests. I can’t believe they got this one!
First guest was very awkward didn't seem to know what he did
