It’s hard to imagine the guest was born in 1866- before the civil war!

Really nice to see them younger here, in 1952, and good to see an earlier one with Hal Block, Also, the Stopette commercials are interesting to see.

Arlene Francis (1907 -- 2001) was Armenian American, her birth name is Arline Kazanjian. It took me a number of years to find that out, because she could easily pass for Jewish.

For me, some of the most beautiful moments that come about in this show are when they have Japanese citizens as guests to share their "unusual" occupations. This is because, in the case of our pearl diver, it has been only 11 years since Japan surrendered, now at the close of World War II; and since the Japanese were our enemy, if you will, when we see on this show such respect and loving recognition that the panelists give to each and all of the Japanese guests--no matter their age, it always gives me hope that, when human beings can forgive each other and move on in a spirit of common friendships, we have all become winners.

I like William Bendix very much, he was so talented. I am surprised they didn't recognize his voice though because he was not doing too well at disguising it.

Interesting that Dorothy and Bennett were educated and supposedly well travel people, yet, they didn't know Jacques Cousteau. Their ignorance of him is stunning. Not wonder he and John were amused.

I got a kick out of the laughter Bennett’s question about his possibly using a fire hydrant. The audience caught the idea he had later, that they are used by dogs.
