You can do whatever the fuck you want. If you’re bi and non-monogamous, you’re valid. If you’re bi and monogamous, you’re valid. You’re valid period. However you want to experience sexuality in this moment is valid, and however/if that changes in the future or was different in the past is valid. It def is the same for lesbians bc a lot of them are not queer in their politic… I know men are easy targets in a patriarchy when it comes to calling out their toxicity but it often is assumed that lesbians are inherently more accepting and that’s often not the truth. Esp when it comes to he/him lesbians, the split attraction model, enbies, etc some don’t even think masc4masc is acceptable so I think everyone wants their letter to be the least problematic but we all have ppl that are x and not queer. How can you say that “protecting the children” is just a fluke of moral panics whenever we are seeing a disproportionate representation of adolescent girls moving down the trans medicalization pipeline? Adults aren’t flocking to re-gender themselves. How can you not factor TikTok and predatory algorithms into this? Not to mention that teens are going through so many hormonal and identity changes (that all of us adults have gone through in one way or another).

I consider myself homoflexible because the few guys I'm into tend to be guys in an unconventional way, i.e. femboys or male aligned non-binary people, but I'm into women as a general rule.

I had a Nigerian immigrant (here @ Eatonton) literally tell me that he was going to marry me & fix after not only unfortunately overhearing me & this bi girl’s conversations about our queer lives, BUT HER TRYING TO CONTINUE THE CONVERSATION WITH HIM FOR ME!! 😰😥😨 This was the first I’ve ever shared my queer experience to ANYONE! And that was said to me as he was trying play it down as a joke, that was the first I’ve ever felt not only scared of my own life, but I could never trust a queer person to keep me from harm either… I’ve had my fair share of activism at times…. I don’t think I’ll have enough to be a refugee… I’m already given up on the people of the US though….. I’m not where to go or what to do…. Im so sorry that that lady had to go through such trauma, but I’m happy that’s she safe & living her true life.❤ Maybe one I can do the same…. Until then… I’ll have to be safe… very safe….

I experienced comp-het prior to coming out as a trans woman and then afterwards I fell into it again but towards men. I’m pansexual I suppose because I’m attracted to people regardless of their gender or rather, a persons gender doesn’t factor in anymore when it comes to whether or not I’m attracted to someone. But that’s conflicting too because I don’t even know what a person’s gender is unless they tell me and prior to that, I may already be attracted to them or not. I really just feel queer. Gender is weird too because although I identify as a trans woman…I mean a lot of that was also just me finally letting myself be who I’ve always felt I was and was deprived of my identity until around 35. Now that I’ve embraced my womanhood though, I often feel more like a cis woman who’s actually maybe sort of nonbinary but I’m not cis, and I’ve been going in the other direction and reclaiming healthy masculinity and healing my relationship with it. So really I just sort of feel queer when it comes to my gender and queer when it comes to my sexuality. But also, that feels wrong too because that’s only because of the context around my journey. Had I just been allowed to be myself without labels or expectations and were living in a world where none of this existed then I’d just be me. A person. But what even in a person. I just am. I am. I love. What weird road it was to finally get here where I can just love freely and honestly. 🫶🏻

Serious question. Old hippie here.In the 1960s, we had gay, straight, bi. Period. I consider myself to be bi. Can you please explain the difference between “Queer” and “Gay”? I hear it more and more and Im sincerely confused by the numerous labels these days, but the “queer” label really has me confused.
