I love this video, my husband and I are looking to move into Charlotte, Nc in the summer of 2026. I have family there, but were moving from Cincinnati,Oh we need a new outlook, a new scene. We have a catering business, but we're not making profit here in Cincinnati. We believe once we move to Charlotte we're going to make a good profit . Y’all are going to want to completely rethink moving to Charlotte, NC it’s a mess in the entire state because of hurricane Helene. Charlotte now has everybody that was in the mountains and on the coastline here. All the other surrounding towns are taking on the influx. We have nothing but traffic and a big mess so don’t bother thinking about moving here. We need FEMA help and we don’t have that because the government has given all the money to the illegal aliens. There’s one way in and one way out of here. If you’re not coming to help but to strain the already overly influxed slow system as it is in the South. The President showed up a week later to access. Then they said they have to look for money and also they may take a couple of months. But still continue to fund Netanyahu and Ukraine along with every other country but here. A mere $750.00 verses billions upward of trillions to other countries and nations. I don’t know what they are showing on the news to other states but they’re even lying to us here. The infrastructure is damaged beyond repair there’s still down trees and lines in various areas of the state and the dead bodies Father rest their souls. If we take a backseat you definitely will take a extra back, backseat here. You need not bother to come. Your too late to move here.!

How would you compare Dilworth/South End to Mint Hill especially for the older demographic?

thanks fellas, great info. I'm curious if you plan on doing a video on the Fort Mill / Indian Trail area soon? I'm looking to move to Charlotte but weighing all options. Fort Mill seems really close to Charlotte depending on the location and because it's SC, the property taxes are super low. The obvious disadvantage is it's further from uptown but again, it may not actually be that bad at all. From the research I've done, it seems some parts of Fort Mill is as little as 20 mins from uptown, that's with little to no traffic.

As an epileptic who I can drive but really don’t want to drive what would yall say out of all these great areas he said to pick ? I just want good places to eat easy grocery shopping access to transit both train and bus, good job proximity, and I do have family more in the university area and would love a quick way to get there without uber and Lyft. anything that isn't south of Morehead, east of South Blv and west of Independence blv is an avoid. Basically South Charlotte down and over the 485 toward Weddington. Even some of those areas are sketchy. Windsor Park is near Plaza Midwood. My spouse had a co-worker who lived in a house in that area that said twice he noticed someone had been in his house looking for who knows what. And then there are the schools... Outside of the southern area, school ratings are 2 and 3 out of 10! I met some people from my birth country, from small towns in the poorest area of the European Union, they had to leave WindsorPark/Plaza Midwood etc and head all the way south to Ballantyne because of crime and bad schools. Only to be disappointed that even there it's not that great and are ready to move somewhere else. Even the higher rated schools are apparently very bad. They talk about kids selling drugs on the school buses without issues. Then there are the developments with 200-400 homes going up but surrounded by the old two lane cow roads with no plans to widen them. In fact the Charlotte city council members openly talk about their hostility toward cars and car drivers. My spouse's co-worker has about 15 mile commute that often takes him an hour. The whole city of Charlotte is sketchy if we have to be honest. We're only here for the better pay compared to Florida but seriously considering moving elsewhere

Charlotte native here… this city is and has always been just OK… nothing stands out here, the food is average and over priced, the nightlife is non existent unless you live in southend… there is NO culture.Even the uptown area is just bland and no buildings older than 100 years. You are settling if you decide to move here…the job market sucks. Hospitals are always backed up. It’s just lame here lol I plan to move back to Chicago soon
