If you bought it elsewhere not from Japan or Europe, great chance it could be a fake and should get it looked at by a watch professional for your own piece of mind. I'm also in the market to buy a Zeppelin and found some fakes ones listed which are not being sold by Japanese/European eBay sellers. Also it looks real, generally the fake watches never provide the little details of things, also never states where the watch was made. I think you simply just got a refurbished or not a perfect working Zeppelin watch which many of the Japanese/European watch retailer/reseller buys from the grey market (legit place where they buy legit goods at low prices) and resells it.

Can you take the strap off easily? I want to buy one but put it on a different strap.

The problem is that I've lost the manual long ago and by now, I don't remember how to set things up on my Casio watch. This is dumb. There is absolutely no need - no profit - in faking a $300 watch.

You trade substance for with the 5kx. The SKX is ISO certification, 200m, screw down crown, beautiful engraved case back with The Great Wave of Kanagawa replaced with a piece of mineral glass on the 5kX and even the jingle jangle super comfy bracelet made the skx loved by so many collectors. I’m sorry but how is this newer watch better? Oh yes the movement! So the new one hacks? Why would you ever need hacking on a highly inaccurate movement? Hate to break it to you but both the 4R series and 7S26 aren’t the most accurate movements. So hacking is a moot point. Yes but you can wind the new movement! Really, you feel that having to wind the movement 30 times is faster than shaking the watch 3 times to get the 7S26 movement with the “magic lever” going is easier ? Seriously?! Yes the new 5KX may be prettier but so much has been lost.

Sure I own 2 skx 007 & 1 skx 009 these watches are icons, to mod a skx is a sin & having a leather strap on a dive watch I find strange a bracelet or a rubber strap looks great that's my opinion all the best.

This is my daily driver for now. All I have is Casio watches (9 of them) and an Apple Watch 7 that hasn't seen a charger in 4 months or so :)

I have a semi-plastic version and it's ugly, but perfect for synchronizing other clocks/watches. I don't wear it much and want to replace it with a Lineage version. It makes them repairable to some extent with 2 or more. The digital font/display part is amazing to me.

I own a 007 and 009 both on the stock jubilee. Purchase new $180/$190 and will never leave my watch box. Was tempted to modify but glad I left them in original condition. Now they coexist with my Tudor BB58, Breitling Colt 41, Rolex Explorer 1, Hamilton KKing, Tissot Visodate, and Seiko Quartz Chronograph. Love my SKX.

I've done quite a bit of research on this watch over time😂 Anyway my Question is if there that good why is it you can't buy one in the high street or shopping Mall, There seems a lot of pre owned examples on ebay? And second why are they only imported from Japan at extra cost,? Not to mention the question of Guarantee and returning a faulty watch, perhaps this is why there's plenty of second hand watches available!!!🤔🧐😳

These are not up to the hype. I've had two; problems with both. The movement is not a "workhorse" as many suggest, it is basic and inconsistent. The crown is small, awkward and fiddly. The stem release is fragile. It looks nice I suppose but that's about it imo. Newcomers would be better off getting the new Berny VH31 Flieger. Cheaper, more robust and accurate. Sorry to slag off your watch but there's no point mincing about on the subject. 😮

Hmmm. Seems to me that a watch that only changes by 45 seconds a day is going to be problematic.

I completely agree that the light comes on too briefly. Another problem is that it does not light up the digital display.

I have the black version and just ordered the pepsi model. The blue looks really good as well. They are good looking watches and seem to be very reliable. That said my day to day watch is my Timex Ironman. Takes a licken and keeps on ticken!

First thing I did with my "Gold" Duro, was to replace the rubber strap with a "Bond" type, NATO strap, where I cut off the extra loop. I've had it for a year. I got it from Amazon for $40 USD.

Your caseback appears to be a good screw on/off like the original - don't most or all Chinese fake Zeppelin watches have the cheap snap-on casebacks? Until you screw off the caseback and inspect the movement, you won't be able to tell if it is fake. The Chinese fakes use the SUNON Chinese movements, wheareas authentic German Zeppelin watches use the Swiss RONDA movements.

Love this watch, I have a green one and a black and blue one. Neither of them are on the standard strap, I didn't find it comfortable.
