I have a semi-plastic version and it's ugly, but perfect for synchronizing other clocks/watches. I don't wear it much and want to replace it with a Lineage version. It makes them repairable to some extent with 2 or more. The digital font/display part is amazing to me.
when it comes to watches, there are very expensive high end designer name watches that you take a loan on and buy it and parade it in front of folks- and then there are perfectly made watches that will provide you with accurate time and date with other wonderful complications and have a power source that will continue for many decades. The Casio Lineage watches do that and that is why I bought one and use it to calibrate all my other watches since it gets signals from the atomic clock every night. These Lineage watches are also very affordable and you don't have to take out a loan or sell your body for one.
You’re right. I remember another RUclipsr saying watches are what men have when they can’t drive their car in a bar. The lineage is pretty much a perfect watch.
@@Wristwatchmania I admire the craftsmanship and mechanical beauty of high end watches, but I really wouldn't buy one because I really don't want people to think I am material minded- even if I got one as a gift, I wouldn't wear it. I love watches that make me happy and are functional & quartz movement- and affordable. I have a few Citizen Eco-drive watches that are reasonably nice as well.
Glad you reviewed this watch. It would have been even more helpful if you showed the watch more and yourself less. Also lume and wrist shots are helpful
Hi there, I have a JDM Casio Lineage Analogue Digital Titanium Chronograph LIS-001 1325 that I bought it during the 90's while I was living in Tokyo. The problem is that I've lost the manual long ago and by now, I don't remember how to set things up on my Casio watch. Do you have any idea where can I get its operation manual or could you help me in setting the digital time and date ? I would appreciate it very much.
Does the LCW-M170TD-7AJF# on my watch tag also have to be on the back case of the watch?. My watch only reads LCW-M170T. Am I missing something? Someone please let me know. Thanks
got a similar model two week ago when I was in Tokyo. Yeah very light & simple watch :). I brought it to Brunei and the watch sync with the local time as for my shock gshock, I have to adjust the watch time because the time difference between Japan &Malaysia/Brunei is by one hour. Kewl watch.
I've done quite a bit of research on this watch over time😂 Anyway my Question is if there that good why is it you can't buy one in the high street or shopping Mall, There seems a lot of pre owned examples on ebay? And second why are they only imported from Japan at extra cost,? Not to mention the question of Guarantee and returning a faulty watch, perhaps this is why there's plenty of second hand watches available!!!🤔🧐😳
I own this model with the gray dial. Great watch, unfortunately the titanium is - contrary to my expectations - quite prone to scratches 😕Wearing the watch for about 2 months, mostly at home, only for normal activities such as at the desk, washing dishes, vacuuming, it shows numerous (micro) scratches mainly on the bracelet 😥
Titanium is Titanium no matter what county it comes from??? As far the watch and functions are concerned, For the money some would argue its the best watch ever made!! And when study the spec's I find I agree, 👍
When I saw the documentary about black bird which is titanium I think it all comes from Russia and China as a raw material. This watch is not very 😎 but I can’t help thinking it’s almost perfection - I always prefer mechaquartz though.
This is my daily driver for now. All I have is Casio watches (9 of them) and an Apple Watch 7 that hasn't seen a charger in 4 months or so :)
I completely agree that the light comes on too briefly.
Another problem is that it does not light up the digital display.

thanks for the video! Can you check if you can hear it ticking in a quiet environment (like when sitting in an office)?
I agree the lineage is Great.
Lovely watch and I particularly like the titanium used :)
Thanks

What module does it have? Should be on the back of the watch.

Nice watch but alarm sound is much too low. Barely noticeable
Can you take the strap off easily? I want to buy one but put it on a different strap.
Yes easy to remove it. Two sprung pin bars.
We old people can read a watch face in under a second. Maybe you are too young to realise how much you still have to learn!
Hmmm. Seems to me that a watch that only changes by 45 seconds a day is going to be problematic.
I got one recently. Great watch!

The g shock Bluetooth models have an appeal to me. Especially the construction workers yellow version

Titanium scratched but it can reoxidise so sometimes you notice the scratches less.
Well said
Do the indices have lume on them to glow in the dark, or only the hour/minute hands glow?
Only the hands glow. The lume is amazing though.
@@Wristwatchmania Thanks. That's a bit disappointing. I was hoping for glowing indices.

He was joking about the Chinese titanium.
