    Bench the rifle. Watching you shoot is painful and proves nothing at all. I have a similar Henry with a loading gate and it shoots just fine as well as my 1949 made Winchester 94 also in 30-30.

    Just picked this 1100 up last night for my 14 year old boy for Christmas, its from 1963 so first year of them, it looks brand new .no wear marks anywhere at all, so this roughly 65 uear old shotgun is just as pristine as it was in 1963! Absolutely Amazing!!! We were there picking up his 20 guage 870 WingMaster and when i saw this old (White Diamond) Remington 1100 all engraved even the bolt, i just had to get it for him as well so he will be getting both now, and both also have a polly choke installed on them!

      It's a good field gun. But it's not ideal if you're going to put 100-200 rounds in a day through it like we do for trap or skeet. No doubt it would be good for walking through a field all day for upland game.

    We own two H001 rifles, they are both fitted with cheap scopes, and are our primary plinking rifles...the guns have been totally reliable, accurate enough (we use cheapest bulk ammo for plinking, better ammo is a bit more accurate), easily maintained, and a ton of fun...in a pinch the guns can be re-purposed, which is always good (the guns would wear out the local squirrel population in rapid fashion, and in defense rule #1 applies...not ideal, but better than harsh words)...and if you have kids nearing old enough to learn, they will happily blow up as much ammo as you can afford...

    4 minute mark. So the ford is better, rear end and engine options and better transmission. A v8 and a v6TT with more power than the 5.3 at lower rpm. Not to mention having an actual selectable locker, no need to lose traction to activate the Gay-80 rear end

    • @Bowties_Ballistics
      @Bowties_Ballistics 9 месяцев назад

      Definitely not, if you like having your truck sound like a hair drier just say that. The 6 speed Ford transmission is definitely not better from experience. The 3.5 Ecoboost feels about the same power wise but sounds worse and doesn’t get as good of mileage. The Ford locking rear would only benefit you if you’re rock crawling and you stopped to engage it. We here at Bowties and Ballistics choose to loose traction because it’s fun to spin both tires on asphalt. This is all while ignoring that the Ford cab quality is subpar. A friend of the channel’s unit has had the door wires all respliced because they cracked and caulking put on the cab around the back weatherstripping and the 3rd brake light to stop it from leaking. That was done a few years back on an F-150 that has 150k and is about 12 years old today.

      You can get several different rear end gear ratios on the Silverado. My brother in law has a Silverado 5.3 with I think a 3.02 gear ratio and he is rated to tow 6100 pounds , I have a silverado with a 3.24 Gear Ratio and I can tow 9100 Pounds. these are all on the 5.3 liter engines. Ratios go all the way up to 12100 pounds .

    Our heritage is showing the scratches, dings, and worn finish of hard use...the gun has been extremely reliable, marginally accurate, and very easy on the wallet...the only complaint is a couple of screws that constantly work loose...when we bought the gun the primary reason was the .22wmr cylinder (Ruger took forever to remedy that with their model)...i love the slow, leisurely pace of operation, it is downright relaxing...won't call it the greatest firearm ever, but for casual plinking it is hard to beat...

    I'm pretty sure the frame is actually a zinc alloy, not galvanized steel. In ads for this revolver, I've seen notices that the frame does not meet melting point standards, which I did not know even existed before. But it's a 22, so as long as you don't leave it in the oven before shooting, you should be fine.
