Watch a Pro Build a Shed in ONE Day - Full Step-by-Step Guide!

Beau from SquareShed allowed us to follow along for one of his builds and see his entire process from start to finish. His team completed the whole job by 2pm! He showed us some amazing time saving gems, and how his team are incredibly organized that allow them to build in record time. Unlike many pre-fab shed builds, they don't leave a single trace that they were there. No fences removed or gr...

Could a piece of plastic replace traditional concrete footings? - TimberTown Reviews TuffBlock
Surely the weight of the shed should be carried directly via compression on to the 4x4 posts rather than indirectly in shear via the fixing screws?
No thank you.
One day? Not one hour?
If these are good for 1700 lbs why do you need so many for a simple framed deck?
To call those a "premium" shed is down right insulting. They are built with the minimum amount of material just like the big box stores. They assemble a cheap pre-made shed that will look like crap in short order. I have never heard anyone say that T11 siding is a premium product and in fact is known for its cheap cost as it should be. 24* wide studs and cheap trussing is par for the course cheap sheds
Nice enough shed but the foundation wouldn't work where the ground freezes.
what kind of window is that?
The box store sells for 8k and let’s say 2k delivery and foundation 10k how much
There's nothing wrong with those concrete blocks. They work just fine.
If you built the floor so that it cantilever's 1' over eachside of 4x4 runners you wouldn't have to waste time and energy with all the squaring and your floor would be much stronger as a result. I'm not sure where this guy learned how to build a shed but it's obvious he doesn't know how too. This floor will sag under the weight of a riding mower which will also cause the doors to stop closing at the top. Just go to a local lumberyard that sells them to see what I'm referring to before you decide to build.
I love to watch this kinda smart construction.
So a bunch of college kids call themselves pros now? lol
Ahhh you still need to dig. Not as much though.
Nice work lad! Full vid on it by chance ?
Not a pro. Built our 20x26 pony barn in two days. Still standing 24 years later. Speed isn't what matters, quality is. YOU did quality work. Good job.
No joist hangers?
Subscribed. You have a nice efficient system!! What about heave and using tough blocks?
I didn't realise Tuffblocks were Aussie made until I looked them up after watching this video. Nice concept and certainly lighter than the equivalent concrete alternative
How do you know that it won’t lose its level? (By the weight).
very cool
2x4's are 1.5x3.5 in real measurements. 4x4's are 3.5x3.5 in real measurements. 2x4+2x4 would be 3x3.5 in real measurements. So no, two 2x4s don't equate to a 4x4.
Great video. I wonder if the design could be improved by sitting the rim joists on top of the 4x4s so the weight is distributed directly to them instead of through the leg bolts.
Wow, it is so cool and easy to do. I just wonder do we need to pack the soil under neat of each block?
GREAT job guys!
I don't get the point with making this kind of video as a short? I guess its only for show off and not educational? Because You can hardly learn anything of it this way...
Is it legal to steal rocks off the beach? Is it responsible to take things from nature?
A pro Builder would notch a ledge in the floor support post to maximize the safety and load abilities of the floor. Just bolting or screwing to the side of the post just shows the poor quality of this builder.
amazing!!
I would only recommend c-notching the 4x4 so that there is no lag or failure over time. That way the load is not on screws or bolts, but the 4x4 itself. Great build tho.
Zinc coated Carriage bolts are better for those floor corners. They are stronger.
does this require a permit since it is attached to the house?
U always wanted Dick where??
Id do a low key add on to the house same way💪🏽👍🏽
Interesting system, but I think joist hangers are needed to keep that floor stable and handle the potential weight of ride on mowers, etc. Also, over time I think those Tuff Block post holders resting on grass and gravel will sink due to weather and weight. Some Quikcrete pads would be a better and inexpensive fix for the footings.
Pretty cool!! Hint:::safety glasses all around. Especially. with nail guns. Love, eycare person!!
According to the manufacturer you can actually go 16" overhang with 8" joists. Just FYI.
Concrete blocks do same thing
How did you prepare your footing, looks like you dug a hole and filled it with gravel. How deep?
It has enough feet a few will still touch when the frost heaves it.
Temporally put together with a nail gun…lol what a joke.
The foundation is junk. 😂 Come a few days early and do it right
Bro can someone explain, how is it OK that all of that weight of the shed and what's gonna be in it, hundreds and hundreds of kilos, is supported by just a couple side screws that connect the base boards to the corner poles. How is that gonna last past the first 2 rains? Not being a hater, love the idea, genuinely asking.
Fuck yea
3:04 ….until the first winter when frost heave will change things.
Oh my. A friend of mine installed my floating deck over black dirt with just putting the concrete blocks down. Will I have some issues down the line?
I'm near completion of my 16x24 shed. Sitting on 28 tuff blocks. Best decision since concrete would've cost a fortune for me
great idea. I worry about airflow, humidity, and critters under the shed though. especially in places where the ground moves.
The 4th thing about Tough Blocks (TM) that he likes is how much money they pay him. This is just a commercial.
It is but for the business owner
That's Cool! Just like Christ told Peter, "Build my House on a Plastic tuff block!"
Wondering if you are technically supposed to get a permit for this kind of project and if those tough block bases would pass inspection if so
