How did you get around the back fence angle issue?! I amn facing the same problem and can't find any info on the best way to build with an angled back fence.
In this build, the joists are cut at various lengths to match the fence angle, but remain straight to the house. And then the deck boards are ripped to fit into this section. It'll require some accurate measurements, but the deck will be well supported in this area.
@@Buildtuff Cheers! Also just wondering if you have any recommendations for using the tuff blocks on a slight gradient (around 5-10%) on concrete. I was trying to find something like a sloped rubber pad to place under them...
@@nomophobia9582 This is tricky for deck blocks. You can get away with a slight gradient of 1-2% but 5% might be a bit too much. You can use workarounds like shims and other methods, but there's no one size fits all answer I'm afraid.
Hey Ben. Great question! As it happens we're about to film a floating deck on a slope in 2 weeks time. The max height we recommend for posts is 1 metre. It's not a perfect example but 2mins into this video shows a post being used on a very slight slope: ruclips.net/video/EC8mklq-ctw/видео.html Be on the lookout for when the new video drops for an in depth guide on how to install a sloping deck.

@@Buildtuff no worries! Thanks for the info :)
Do you have any video examples of sloping deck installations? What is the max height that you would recommend with tuff blocks.
