Off Grid Cabin Shell Build in 2 minutes
We assemble on of our cabin kits in 2 minutes of video. In real time we built this over the course of 4 days. We did not install the windows, doors or siding, Our customer wanted to do that himself, but we did get the pleasure of having his help during the shell build. We love working with customers and helping them achieve their tiny home dreams! This cabin is in a remote location and will be totally off grid. If you have ever dreamed of having your own tiny home or cabin reach out to us today.

One more thing on the metabo, I was able to order a rafter hook for the 15/16ga size guns and replace the giant hook that comes on the framing nailer with that and I have been very happy with it since. The huge one that comes on the gun is just too large to do anything well as you have stated. The screw pattern for the smaller Metabo nailers is the same as the framers though so the hooks from the finish nailers do fit the framers perfectly
Hey great video and assessment of the 3 nailers. I too am mostly on the DeWalt platform and when searching for my first nail gun I had to do a deep dive into the features and pros vs cons of the 3 brands you have here. I settled on the Metabo (30 degree) and while I have not had any time on the Milwaukee or DeWalt guns to compare it with I find the same outcomes you have outlined here. Never fails to shoot and drives nails deep or deep enough. The power button is hard to access and seems to turn itself off at the most inconvenient times and the gun seems to shut down due to low battery when that 4ah pack is just under 1/2 full. I have experienced all of these same things. I do have a few other 2, 3 & 5 ah metabo batteries that I am going to try but if it’s charged I mainly use that 4ah pack because of the nice size of it so I can’t yet say what the other sizes of battery do in that situation. I will say however, the framing nailer was the last gun I bought, having first purchased the 23ga pin nailer, the 18 ga Brad nailer and 18 ga narrow crown stapler, followed by the 15 ga finish nailer, all metabo. I haven’t had the problem with any of those other guns shutting down before a battery is 100% depleted it’s only the framer that seems to do that. On a side note, all the other guns are pretty good with exception of the 15 ga which doesn’t like to sink 2 1/2” nails at all. 2” and under it’s fine but 2 1/2’s it can’t seem to sink over 50% of the time anyway. The little pin nailer has some slight issues too when the pins get low it seems to missfire and jam a bit but both the 18 ga guns (Brad nailer and NC Stapler are both phenomenal and like the framer, they just seem to work. Anyway thanks for the video, it was very informational and should be a good source for anyone looking to get a cordless framer. Good luck to ya and God Bless!
How about coming down?
Magneto.
😂
Hate tedious painting projects. I'd give this a try. Thanks
Great way to get an 4” splinter in your gooch! 😂
Haha always nice to see people enjoying their time together at work. Thanks for sharing
But ur already down below
Milling on boards these day is crap do this& you'll have a6 inch splinter in your but soon
I have seen a splinter go through someones spin doing something similar 😢
Ouch.
Never had a problem using razor blade to remove paint on glass I’ll pass
Just bought the metabo at Lowe’s for 279, love it ! The power is amazing
Metebo will Shoot 3-1/4 electro galvanize but struggles with 131 hot dipped galvanized
Agree with Dewalt! Unfortunately, customer service sucks! I have a Craftsman that has been replaced without question 3 times in 7 years after much abuse, not being cleaned, maintained, and left in the rain. I am buying a Metabo now just because of the price and reviews like yours!
Noice!!
Do you also prep to apply?😂
First second there I thought I saw Brad helping you out ;)
I wish. I am not sure I can get him to come to a job site anymore.
Sweet, just need to create a little leverage.
Marita says their cordless framer will be on the market by end of 25, no price as of yet. They make some awesome pneumatic nailers
What do you do for aluminum?
I just bought the Metabo framing nailer and a 15G finish nailer with 2 batteries and 2 chargers for under $500....
That’s a great deal. We have been testing the new dewalt gun and hands down the metabo is the better gun.
Great product!
Call king.
That’s great!! Thanks for the tip!
You bet!
How much shaking does it take to fully incorporate? Great idea!
You only have to shake it for a minute. It mixes really well. It is very liquid when you add the paint. Once you have mixed it you do add one more item from the kit and it helps solidify it. Worked great around my cabin beams.
Wow
Where has this guy been living? This has been common knowledge for years..
looks much easier. Fully agree with you
Way easier 👍🏻
It’s not that far either! Look it up! Looks like fun!!
It’s a great time!
How da fck do you not get the mask and peel on the edge of the wood ya going to paint?! So i take it that its paintable but look at the texture of it, not the same at all.😅😂
Hikoki/Metabo HBT Rocks - rest are boat anchors!
Yesssssssss!!! I’ve been looking forward to one of these! #studs
What’s funny is you can use the knife like a scraper and just do the same thing directly to the paint on the window and it’ll come right off. Just won’t peel,
Jared, your no painter pal, stick to your day job
How can something easy to peel off be classed as a primer on wood, don't trust it to last on outside work, silly stuff
Don't knock it till you try it
Thanks for sharing Jared! I love your red door! can you tell me the color you used? THANKS!
Someone stole my Milwaukee I went and bought a new Metabo
That sucks! You won’t regret the metabo. Did my video help you make the decision?
Thanks for the video and the clarification on this!
My pleasure!
Excellent video and i will try this product.
Thank you!
Amazing product! I will certainly give it a try. Thanks for posting.
I'm usually a die hard DeWalt guy but I refuse to buy any of their cordless nail guns for the exact reasons you mentioned. There's a reason they're the only brand using a flywheel mechanism... it's completely unreliable. I actually use the Ryobi framing nailer. Yes it's marketed towards DIYers, yes its super heavy, but it fires every single time and eats whatever nails I feed it. The thing is a tank. Way more power than the Metabo guns too and no silly on/off switch.
That’s great feedback. I will look at those next time I buy a gun.
You sir are a life saver 😂 thanks for the tip
Happy to help
Elmer's gue works too
So no taping? What?
Does anyone consider removing the grid?
The European (Hikoki) 34degree version of Metabo fires a single nail in rapid mode
Been doing this for 44 years star. Ted in Chicago in the 70s. Most of the houses are brick. We didn't use tape. It was a waste of time
That seems real easy.We did it the right way?J Use a 2 and a 1/2 brush. If you do it that way, you will never be a professional. You will never know how to cut in
Yah what happens to the stuff you painted under the paint on the wood?😅
On that type of door it's mu easier to just take the screws out of the grid and paint it...comes out perfect . And if you want to tint or black out the glass it's really easy.
Blue painter's tape works.
