Ok, I live where it gets butt cold and hotter than the dickens, the way I build is from the sheathing goes vapor barrier then use "fanfold" foil-faced insulation about a half inch thick and then your siding, you could also add a layer of the pink foam board under for extra r value.

We are lucky to have pretty mild winters in the south. You could definitely add some additional exterior insulation if you wanted.

Maybe just use it on the south side.

Because it also is the house wrap and a process that has to be done we prefer to do the whole structures. But you are correct the south side is wall you would benefit the most on! Great point

@@Southernhomesteads I do the same thing for holding fire wood. But my top is cut flat, I am going to start doing it your way. Great job

I guess it would be wise to put this in the next shed also then :) Thanks!

I would absolutely do it. And on the ceiling I would a radiant barrier they call double bubble. It’s game changing!

Water is going to run in the door since the deck and the cabin floor are at the same level

Hey Sean! The deck is set 2” lower than the subfloor. We go through that in the deck installation video. But you are right if you didn’t set the deck lower it could cause problems!

Good informative video👍👍. What about Reflectix thermal insulating material? Any experience or opinion? Thanks in advance.

I haven’t worked with any of those materials yet, but we may look further into them in the future. They aren’t real available in our area yet.
