You have one of the better channels about camper conversion, but I don’t understand why you place insulation in the beams rather than over them. The sheet metal is connected to the outer metal, so cold easily transfers through to the bare steel without insulation. To the inside. Cold blank metal will cause condensation. The interior insulation doesn’t prevent the thermal bridge, and could even block drainage routes. The same issue applies to the doors. They aren’t properly sealed, which allows water to get in.

Bravo. I've enjoyed the 2 1/2 videos I've watched so far. You were comfortable with your tools, gave reasons why you were using a particular method and then explained the assembly process clearly. All key to a good instructional video. One thing I would suggest that could be helpful to you. Two piece aluminum cutting guides. Together they form a straight edge that is 8'6" long. Individually you have two pieces 4'3" long. Used in conjunction with your circular saw it does the job of a table saw and panel saw. With slightly more Set up involved. It is hard to push large sheet goods through a tablesaw without surrounding accessory tables. A panel saw is the ticket. However this aluminum cutting guide, several manufacturers make them, Steps in for both tools. It would've helped when you ripped your furring strips, as well as doing your component pieces that were too large to comfortably rip On a table saw. For the ribs run a piece of wire with a string attached to a loop in end. Attach oversized piece of thinsulate to string. Pull wire then string thru length of rib followed by attached thinsulate. Using Oversize width of thinsulate will allow it to fill interior dpace of beam.

Wanted to watch but wish one would have their own talk cadence…. It distracted me.

Ive learned so much from your videos, and all your points are valid. Im planning on getting a Promaster and doing a no build build or minimal build but I want insulation and I was stressing on how to get all the angles. I love the shape of the Promaster's vertical walls, but it still has a lot of angles. I just want to find the least toxic best holding glue.

Lauren, I've been binge watching your build series today, and I must say, after I've built 3 Promaster van builds as a hobby over the last 10 years, you build exactly the same way that I do. You are a smart woman. Rivnuts and Plusnuts are the perfect way to secure your whole van build to the structure of the vehicle. People will pay a high dollar for a nicely done build. I've made considerable money from these builds, you should do the same.

You seem to have the work and personal endevour life most adventurous people dream of.

Just a note - at the 15:15 mark in the video you say to use the white headed screws to secure the fan to the mount. That is incorrect. Those screws are for the final interior "garnish ring" as specified in the instructions. The fan mounts via the 4 remaining stainless steel screws. I did it the wrong way :( But, seems ok. Otherwise another outstanding and instructive video. Wouldn't have gotten through it without you!

I'd never use plywood as a subfloor material unless I coated both sides and the edges with 2 coats of polyurethane spar varnish to seal the wood. it is far more effective than Thompson's water seal... (Spar urethane expands and contracts with the wood and is far more effective than a regular "water seal"....

Very good job on install however you installed a Victron DC to DC converter NOT a charger. The difference is the converter stabilizes the DC for sensitive electronics but is usually used to CONVERT two different voltages like 24v to 12v etc. The other main issue is that it does NOT regulate current for the Lithium batteries. Whereas the the DC to DC Charger has battery charge protocols for Lithium ( three stage charging) that regulate the current to prevent damaging the alternator. The Converter is not INTENDED for use as a charger. Also if you are grounding the devices to chassis ground then you can save money and buy the NON isolated version.

I decided to stick to yours and have followed yours for every step of the way you have made it so easy and understandableand it’s coming along nicely thanks to you thank you so much for your videos.
