Once you expand it can it still go under seat?
Not on any airline that I have flown - after it's expanded it's a little too big and has to be put into the overhead bin.

When it's expanded it will need to go in the overhead.
Question: Do you happen to remember the name of the brand for the bag you carried for decades? Because I wanna check this out for some reason. Also Minooy has got many spacious bags. The crossbody bags are my favorite because you don’t have to bring a wallet and you can attach the keys onto it as well. The Thea is my second favorite bag but the Naya is my most favorite. I don’t have any of them but the Naya is what I prefer to have for so many reasons. What I like the most about Thea and Naya are the pockets designed for glasses and to keep em safe
I am with you 100% on the Thea and the Naya - they are both so perfectly designed! I believe my old bag was a BOHO brand? I bought it out of the Sundance catalog many, many years ago but they don't make it anymore. Believe me, I looked! :)
Can your sunglasses and reading glasses go in the little compartments that you put your phone charger in? They have another bag called the Thea which I purchased but I wished it was a little bit bigger like this one.
Yes - they can but a little tight. I also own the Thea and the sunglasses slots were what sold me on that bag. This one holds just a bit more that the Thea so it's what I use on longer trips.
Great informative video. Thanks! Apologies if these questions have been asked before. Are you able to easily reach the straps while rolling or do you have to lean over a bit to reach them? Also, once you add additional items once expanded, is it still considered carryon size? Hopefully so since there’s no padding. Thank you!❤
I'm 5'6" and the straps are easy for me to use as I walk. No bending over necessary! I have carried this bag on expanded numerous times. - it is big enough that it has to go in the overhead though.
Have you tried solid bar shampoo and conditioner? They are game changers.

I have this bag. It does not stand up at all. It also does not roll with a darn. It has great options but I seriously won't take it back to Africa with me. It rolls horribly. I wound up carrying it thru Doha airport which was not fun.
I usually only take it on short business trips. I find that if you load it from the bottom it will stay upright.

Mine is a small...I just checked and it does look like it's only available in large right now! Sorry! :( But to be honest, I wish it were a little bigger sometimes.
I really like this bag as well as the backpack with the zip able bottom. But, I’m flying Lufthansa on the way to Lisbon and United and the way back. Lufthansa is SUPER strict. United is not.
It's always good to make sure to look up the dimensions of whichever airline you are flying to see if this bag will be acceptable. I've had nothing but success carrying this on, both unexpanded and expanded. It's smaller than most carry-on suitcases.
Great review! now I have 3 questions: 1)How much does it weigh empty? 2) fully expanded and filled, does it meet carry-on size requirements? 3) is it sturdy enough to check this back with other luggage not damaging it or the contents?
Thank you! 1) It's 3.85 pounds 2) I have carried it onto at least 6 different airlines, fully expanded, with no issues 3) It's a soft-sided bag - I would check it with clothes inside but nothing breakable or fragile. :)

I don't have a "nice", purse-looking backpack. I usually just use a Gregory 24liter pack if I'm wanting something that's hands free. It holds quite a bit and is easy to stow.

This looks like a great idea, I just worry if you expand it fully, it’s bigger than a carry on for some budget airlines. Do you check it or carry it on when it’s fully extended? Also, I think it’s true about how you distribute the weight. It could go lopsided and drag….thanks for a good review! I’m always looking for something to make travel a bit easier!
I've carried it on when fully extended and it's been fine! Never on an international flight...just domestic flights in the US. You definitely need to load it with the heavier things on the bottom...but if you do, it's pulls alont well.
have you used it this year on united with the new smaller under the seat requirements? I have one and bought one for my husband for our trip to Scotland but I'm worried that it wont fit under the seat on our united flight.
I haven't tried it on United yet as I rarely fly them. If you're worried, I would take a look at the exact dimensions on the Biaggi website to see if it will be small enough.
If not expanded to full size, can this be used as a PERSONAL item or are the dimensions a little too big to be considered as a personal item since most are 18x14x9? (I believe this one is 16x15x9 when it's not expanded, according to the Biaggi website, so I worry about that extra inch.) I want to take a regular carry on bag for the overhead compartment, but I'd love to use this one as a personal item.
Definitely OK for a carry-on but I wouldn't count on getting away with using it as your personal item - it's probably a bit big for that.

Naya or Athena better for travel?
It really depends on how much you want to take with you! I've used both the Thea and the Athena and they both work well. If I have something a little bulky then the Athena has multiple compartments. But usually the Thea is enough for me and what I carry around during the day. I especially like that I don't need a case for glasses since they are built in to this bag - one of my favorite features besides the credit card slots!
I just got the London Fog carry on with the under the seat bag with wheels... both for $ 159. (Marshall) fantastic, the best. Highly recommend.

The reason the zipsack "falls" over is a packing issue. I have that problem at times. It means the bag is too top heavy. I ALWAYS use the included strap to pull it. Overall though, it's a great bag and fits into Frontier's personal item bin (theonly issue I have ever had with that, was a charger in the outer pocket - make sure nothing protrudes from those pockets and always put it in the bin upside down)
Agree! That's why I usually only use it for short trips where I don't need to pack it tight.
Question, do you prefer the Minooy Thea or Minooy Athena for a three week trip to Spain to Portugal? I am torn between which of them to order.
Hi! Sorry it took so long to reply. I've been traveling, holidays, etc. For a 3-week trip, the Athena is a little larger and holds more. The advantage to the Thea is the double-sided card holder panel AND the two slots specifically designed for sunglasses.

Now since having this bag for a while, how do you feel about it? I'm researching biaggi quality as an option. I like the compact storage and conversion of these bags.
I like it very much for short trips where I only need one or two changes of clothes and minimal accessories. It's compact and very easy to handle.
You can put your shoes on the bottom compartment, where you said you could put your passport. Paperwork I take in my purse.
It's a very flat compartment - I don't think you could fit anything more than flip-flips in there, if that.
Does this bag have a trolley strap or o put it over a carry on as a personal item?
Yes, it does have a strap across the back.🙂
I too love the design but not a great rolling carry on. I practical dragged it around the airport and it constantly tipped over once you let go of the handles. Bisho does NOT respond to multiple emails regarding return policy. Not impressed with the company
I'm sorry to hear that! You definitely have to load the bag with the heavier items on the bottom. That's what's worked for me.

It's 1.37 pounds / .6 kilos. It's quite lightweight for a quality leather bag!

Could you tell me if the two black handles would fit over the “pull” handle on a hard sided luggage so you could wheel together?
There is actually a strap on the back of the bag designed to fit over the pull-handle of a suitcase. It holds it in place quite firmly!

I have those foldable hangars and love them. Many hotels & ships don’t have as many hangars as I need, especially if I share closet with my hubby. These are a travel gem

Amazing review! I'm considering buying this but was intrigued by your comment that you are testing the version with a rigid handle (I believe that's the Lift off?). Even though you haven't posted your review, is there any major drawback to purchasing the Lift Off instead?
Hi there! Yes - I took the Lift Off to Europe for two months this summer and gave it a good workout. If you are using the Lift Off alone, and not with another bag, then for a short trip I think it's a great little piece of luggage. For a longer trip, I don't know I would bring it along again. The wheels on the bottom make it impossible to "perch" it on top of a suitcase for easy rolling, so I ended up with the suitcase handle in one hand and the Lift Off handle in the other. It wasn't convenient or easy - next time I'll bring a bag designed for this purpose. The handle has a little more "play" in it than I'd like - it wiggled around quite a lot and I often wished it were more rigid. I thought it would break part way through my trip, but it proved to be sturdy and is still working fine! I used the expandable feature and was able to bring home quite a few extra things due to this feature. Overall I think it's a good bag if you are doing a weekend away or just need a small bag. I'll be doing a full review pretty soon -
Always my go-to bags…compression cubes/backpack/to even a 31” wheeled case…all of which compacted fir in my hard sided carryon ‼️ Have survived many travels and always ready for more‼️‼️‼️‼️

It really just depends on how much you want to put in it! I chose the Athena for my two months in Europe this summer. I wanted to be able to carry more if I needed to so that’s the one I took as it holds a bit more and has an additional compartment. I’m glad I did because there were some days I needed to have more with me. That one worked well!🙂
