The book sounds great! Got its attention in an online shop because of the great artwork. 36:00 But I've the same problems with it as you do. I'm no big Gaiman-fan and I don't want to be patronized. It appears that is collection is a victim of its time. Unfortunately you can't give it the 'dead poets' treatment, because of the content warnings in front of every chapter.

I love silverberg but I haven’t been so keen on what I have read post 70’s. I put down star of gypsies this week because I really wasn’t in the mood for the fantasy and the humorous tone. I will try it again when in a better mood. Can’t wait to read some of the earlier works not read yet though.

I've read some of Shea's mythos stories but had no idea about his sword and sorcery writing or that he wrote a sequel to Eyes of the Overworld. "Against the World. Against Life" is indeed a monumental title. Fantastic video. I now have a Nifft book in the mail.

I'd love the Benfords but I live in France. 😔 I have a paperback copy of Bear's Slant with the same cover, bought here for €1 😀 I also have a copy of Clockwork Orange in a 1973 edition - it has the nadsat glossary but is divided into 3 parts, each with separately numbered chapters, so no chapter 21 as such. Good luck with the sale - some cracking stuff there (I'd also like the Disch, but tant pis).

Great video, I Just finished it and loved it. As I read more new wave SF I’m finding that a lot of it is more about the people dealing with a weird situation and not necessarily the tech or aliens. But I understand why people keep saying that this shouldn’t be considered SF
