when I was growing up the internet definitely existed, but it was only something people used at school or perhaps at work if they couldn't find something they needed in a book or asking someone. People had the internet in their homes, but it wasn't common. In fact I think only 1 or 2 people in our street had it. We didn't get it at home until 2007 when I was a teenager, but even then we had to actually go to the computer and use it because the mobile phones had become so tiny, you could barely see anything worthwile on the screen. when i was in america i did buy a couple of tickets online for things, but I found it easy enough if I wanted to to just turn up and buy them in person. This was in early 2020. now here in the UK I normally buy tickets in person if i can and like to keep them afterwards as a reminder of the concert or whatever event it was. while actually at the event i'm there to enjoy it so taking pictures or videos is not on my priority list.

I have yet to read the Trial but your video is fascinating! I wonder if Kafka was expressing identity issues as a Jewish man living in Europe in the 1920s when antisemitism was on the rise. His predominant culture was persecuting him because of the absurd intangible authority of the societal racial hierarchy. He feels "guilty" because he is taught that he should be ethnically Jewish but there is no real logic for that. European Jews just wanted to be equal members of European society so they tried to participate in predominant European culture but the goal posts keep moving. Honestly, it's really heartbreaking.

This reminds me of how hollow aesthetics feel specifically in women's/feminine fashion and the current women's fashion trend cycle. There are so many options with an infinite number of subgenres that can be hype specific to you and only a few other people. It can be incredibly fulfilling to be able to craft something like that but it can be incredibly isolating or disconnecting. It feels easier than ever to connect and disconnect from people within this current age. Especially with how polarizing something like fashion can become. It can be inclusive or extremely exclusive. This is just sort of what I've noticed since I've taken a step back from fashion trends and what is left of mainstream women's fashion.

The greatest paradox of the hermit artist is that, by working so hard for years and years, you can connect with people in ways that are otherwise impossible. Look Back's a pretty good story in general, but it hits hard for creatives in particular. This is a pretty good breakdown of that and gave me a couple insights I hadn't considered yet, so cheers. I revisited this album recently, mostly to try and figure how I felt their newest album fared amongst the rest of their work (Songs of a Lost World is in my top 5 Cure albums! It was a good way to celebrate Halloween). Kiss Me x3 is far too long to feel cohesive for me, but the actual quality of all the songs is really good. What I would usually consider weak points for an album ended up adding to the vibe I got from it: the album feels kind of like a lazy, unplanned Sunday at home with someone you love, with nothing really to do. Or maybe it’s more like a memory constructed from multiple Sundays, all the ways you remember feeling. Even the more mundane memories feel like an adventure when you recall how you felt the most vividly. Anyway, good luck on the next Cure video. Disintegration is their best album, so I imagine there will be a lot to talk about.

FINALLY! You’re back! Can’t WAIT to hear your opinion on their most recent album! Personally I favor this album over “The Head on the Door.” I disagree, I feel “Kiss Me” is EVEN MORE varied stylistically than their previous album. The Kiss me tour was my first ever concert so it will always very special for me. I prefer the Cure's darker material, but this album is still my curealbum - actually an odd feeling.

I'm curious about how it's called in Swedish? I'm an expat living half in Norway, half in Sweden and I never heard about this concept. I find it interesting because that's basically what we did when we left France to move abroad: we scanned everfything to see what was valuable/useful to us. The most amazing about this is how it's mentally freeing once you start. At some point you nearly want to get rid of everfything.
