Love the Copper Float and the watercolors!

Do you have to refire after you put on the gold lustre?

I just can’t get over how absolutely beautiful your watercolors are!! Wow! Yes please do a tutorial. I have tons of supplies but no idea how to use them. I thought it would be so much easier. I’d LOVE to be able to use the technique on pottery. I’ve been feeling lately like I need to do something different with some of my pottery. I do absolutely love to play with glaze combos but I want my pieces to stand out as well as broaden my abilities. I was so excited to see your video was a half hour, but it went by too fast! I so love the birch and missy waters combo! I love how the leaves turned out, honestly I love it all! I really love how you’ve used the combos with the copper float. I have a tall stein that I was glazing and realized the bottom had a crack in it so I’m using it for a bunch of tests. Cant wait to try some of your combos on it. I need to hurrry up and order my glazes for this winter before it starts freezing!! Thanks so much for an absolutely amazing kiln opening!!

I've said the glaze layering thing is beyond me, so I do slipware. I understand your not wanting to do the refires but what I ponder is could you get the results you had here in a single glaze fire.

Hey my drippy sista! Wow yr painting are gorgeous! Love the green combo. Looks like power turquoise. Now I want to try PT on black clay. Oh that leaf plate is spectacular! I loved it b4 but it’s even better now! The refire bowl is so pretty too. Really need to get that copper float! Mug w PT is gorgeous. Is it food safe? The poppy fields planter is glorious! My fav. Nice combinations. So are you saying your cone 6 natural cool pieces get pin holes? Then you put them back in to cone 5 with a hold and slow cool. Do you refire or are you putting glazes on all pieces, I know you did on one of them. I'm wondering ( no expert by any means, a total beginner with using a kiln) if you did cone 6 with a hold and slow cool, would that help? To only fire it once. I love the copper float pieces, absolutely stunning.

OOH I LOOOVE THIS ONE. I WAS wondering what it would look like to put a stripe of flux blossom around the middle just overlapping the copper and then apply the micro! I’m going to try that! You’ve definitely made me rethink this copper glaze!

Beautiful glaze combo Audrey! Thanks for sharing your glazing sheet and your glaze combos. I'm working on some Halloween candle holders for my daughter and have been trying to decide on some good colors to use. Probably won't use this exact combo for them but will definitely use deep sienna speckle on a few. It's really a pretty glaze and perfect for fall!
