Love your plates with the wax resist technique and your glaze chip plate and bowl are gorgeous! I’ve don’t the glaze chips in the past, I might have to try again! Kim
You are welcome Audrey! Seeing your work makes me so happy. Thank you for the shout outs and for using my cutters! After my first few pottery classes, I can really appreciate the skill and talent that goes into pottery. It's hard! But also fun.
It is my pleasure to share your lovely cutters. I see you have stamps as well. Did you make them as fondant cake stamps? I bet some of them would look great in clay. You should try it! Thanks Susan.
@@AudreyLynnStudios Yes they were originally made for fondant but I do have some customers who use them on clay. The letter stamps are super popular with potters.
Everything is beautiful Audrey! I love your square plates with leaves. Did you leave the rim unglazed? The colors are stunning!🤩 Thank you for sharing!❤🙏🏻
I love every piece Audrey. You surely are a fine glaze composer 😍 The 2 pieces before the last one are my fave. They give me the feel of sunset on the beach, sitting in the sand watching the sun go down, hearing the water beaching. specially the mug. 😍 Bye 👋 Sheila 🇳🇱
Yay! I love it when I get a notification that you have uploaded another video. That acorn mug is adorable! Wow, the cenote vase is beautiful. Great kiln unload. Thank you for sharing x
Beautiful work Audrey!! Thanks for sharing! I also really don't understand why not everyone likes pottery. 🤔 Peace to you and your loved ones. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas! ❤
Great kiln load Audrey! Where do you get all your energy! The Wrought Iron reminds me of Mayco’s Black Walnut. It would be interesting to try them both, on similar combinations. Merry Christmas Audrey! 🎄
Thank you so much. I wish I had more energy! I think we all do!😂. I have never tried Black Walnut. I wonder how much it differs from Wrought Iron? Hmmmm? Thank you so much for your kind compliments! I wish you joyous preparations and a festive Christmas!🎄
Love the style and simplicity of your work. The thinner walls are very nice.. Glazes are fabulous especially the transformative iron glaze, blues, all of it . 🧚 Do you only hand build or are there some thrown? 🌼
Hi Carol, I had that too! Now I really try to pay atttention to smoothing them out. I find I usually have to trim my rims but after I do, I use a little chamois or my finger to burnish the rim to make them as smooth as possible. If they come out of the bisque fire and they are still quite rough, I will fine sand them and then sponge them off to open the pores again to accept the glaze. Does that help?
@@AudreyLynnStudios Thank you, Audrey, you are so generous with your time. We only live about 20 minutes from each other, even tho' we are in different countries!
Hey my drippy sista! Ohhh a shout out and mud magic on the screen!! Thankyou sooo much! It was my pleasure u r such a beautiful soul u deserve it. Ohhh the cookie cutter is sooo cute! I can see him with speckled cottontail so he looks like a snowman! Too funny I think that about the holes in my noodle bowls too n have been thinking about changing them. Curious to know how u sign? Is that carved then ug flooded or just ug? What tool or brush pls. Thinking of starting signing mine. Great unload. Hope u can make my live. Nat xx
Thanks so much, Drippy Sista. Very happpy to shout you out! Yes! The cutter would look good as a snowman! I have tried different ways of signing but what I do now, is just using a fine brush and UG watered down. I found it was the most versatile way to sign. When I am in a situation where I needed to grind after a glaze fire and I have taken off some of my signature, I touch it up with acrylic paint. I will put it on my list to show the different ways I have signed my pieces and why I settled on this way. AND...YES OF COURSE, you should sign your work my Sista! I hope I can make your live too!
@@AudreyLynnStudios I have been pondering this signing thing, also, like for years, to come up with what I like. I saw a video today where the ceramicist signed her name in cursive with underglaze in a Xiem type bottle with thin pen, looked really nice.
@kathypowell8892 Yes I did that, too. I found that the ug would clog up in the tip. It was not impossible but just a bit frustrating. However, if you are not so comfortable with a fine brush, it's a great alternative! Thank you Kathy!
@@AudreyLynnStudios I can see why you would prefer the brush, your water color paintings are beautiful. I really like the wreath one you made ar your cabin.
Wow the opening watercolor is breathtaking!
Thank you so much, Liana! I do love to paint! Thanks for noticing that I used my watercolour. It makes my day!
