I saw this video like 2 years ago and I've just revisited it and it's actually one of my favourite things ever - it's the reason I got into playing the ewi too

It seems that this R1 has only 20 sounds in presets, don't know how much we can load at max into it, and at which cost because it seems to pay 5$ per sound in app. Has anyone been able to play laptop DAW/Plugin Midi sound with wireless Midi from R1?

Humming in the breath sensor... tells you the unit is using a cheap MEMS pressure sensor. Cant expect a $30 MPXV5010 after all... lol

This was a great review! It really did justice to the instrument. Other reviews I saw left it sounding cheap and unappealing. I hope they add those firmware updates as well

Hi Steph, you probably know that Robkoo have brought out their new mini clari and a few people have done demo reviews of it but I don't think they have done justice to the instrument's potential. I would love to see your takin this instrument for a test drive 🙂

Better than the instructions that come with the Re.corder. May I clone you and put you into a time machine and send you back to my old high school as a teacher so that I end up with way more passing grades than I have?

From a recorder player (who wants to practice without disturbing others) point of view, I can't recommend this instrument. The recorder sound is awful. and the way to play sharp, flats and octaves is different. For this purpose, I find that the Blackstar Carry On digital recorder is much better. It is identical to a recorder, you play sharps flats and octaves the same way, the recorder sound is so much better than the Vangoa, and its built in speaker has much more volume.

Hum, what happens to wireless MIDI, bluetooth?

Since it has MIDI capability, can we use it to play (via MIDI) sounds of plugins (uploaded into laptop/DAW), i.e. panflute, dizi flute, other brass ensemble, or even piano, guitar, string?

Thanks so much for this. Just got an EMEO in today and was struggling to get it working w ableton. Is there a way too boost the overall breath amount? Right now when I'm blowing hard the filter is only reaching about the halfway mark

It has to work as a midi controller (which basically they all do) I was convinced to buy the EWI 5000, then saw your video on the AP300, and now I have just watched this video - I like the look of the Robkoo R1 best, but want to have flute fingering on whatever I get . . . Any ideas/advice??? The cost is not that important for me

hey dude true quality content, i would like to learn this synth midi wind instruments and idk for what instrumen choose bc i live in spain and know there are products to seem like Vangoa and i have no musical knowledge, a guide or what do u do if u have to start wild instrument, but being midi synth, un saludo desde españa :)

Hey man great sounds, I just bought the monolith patches, and the one thing I can't figure out is how to tame the range of the pitchbend, on swam instruments and on respiro the range is two semitones and in this app it just goes all the way up or down, any advice on that?

Hi Stef, I just downloaded and tried installing on my Mac playing it through GarageBand with Areophone AE20 but not getting any sounds. All other sounds on Vital work. Any suggestions?

Great review. Just worried in getting one regarding the they will not support it. No returns and will only send parts if needed, within the 1 year warranty. In your opinion, is it worth it? I'm looking at other lower price instruments, but I want the closest sax sounds I can get. Any suggestion? Thank you.

I can play ok on that but i play better on traditional wind instruments similar to Irish instruments also can play sax and flute. I don’t want to spend a lot of money on akai or roland. Which badget MIDI EWI would you recommend me for fast and accurate tracking? Do you thing Vangoa will be ok for my situation? Thanks again
