I hate to say axe collection.. but it's headed that way.. A 3.5lb brades 1565 Tassie recently popped up for sale and I couldn't resist it! Looks great next to it's 5lb and 4 1/2 lb cousins, but how does it split?

I own 266 SG, (heated handle version), and i need to re-wire it, wires got missing, but i cannot find it online proper wiring diagram... James i know u got a TIG welder, can u port my 266 exhaust muffler please 😎
Good to see you back at it 👍
@@danturner3575 thanks Dan! Good to see you too
So time consuming cutting the small stuff, I’ve still got a huge pile in the garden waiting to get cut
Yeah it is, takes me about an hour to process and throw a truckfull, so not too bad. At least i can get the truck right up to it.
The Special cylinder is like the 346XP. The plain 365 is like the 353, just bigger. There's a 3rd 365, the X-Torq. They're all rippers. My neighbor has a 20y old 365. It cuts trees like a hot knife through butter, even with a dull chain. But they're heavy.
Yes thanks. I've worked on them all. The open port 365 threw me especially as it said special on the side! Also there's the Johnny 2065 and 2165!
Hey man, glad to see you agin
Thanks man. Hope you're good
Silver birch is prone to rot, u have to process quickly, it gives lots off flame, but burn quickly...
We have sold some wood for the first time in a long time. Most people want £150 for a 1.2m3 loose load! Wood prices are crazy and getting large scale deliveries is really hard unless you're in the business.
Yeah, I've seen £100/120 for a builders bag!!!
Where is your helmet? Cutting small logs like that in a pile the risk of kickback is really high.
Picked up a 044 at the carboot for £130 last week thinking i would flog it to a mate for a couple of hundred being more of a husqvarna fan, but soon changed my mind after i got it home lol not sure if its 10mm or 12 mm but it has the fins running at 45 so think its an early one still has 165psi on my gunson tester.

I have a nice axe collection. Mostly vintage American...but I do have a mint 4.5# Hytest Craftsman with factory bevel and 95% green paint intact with a spotted gum handle. As well as a 4.5# Kelly Dandenong made in England. I've always liked the look of those Brades blades...but just haven't found the right one!
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment, I really appreciate it
Nice one
Nice looking axe and it cuts well, I dont think my wife would take to kindly to me having an axe collection as well! Sycamore is a hard wood but easy to split. I think it burn ok as well looking forward to some more regular videos.
Yes, been looking at BTU's, it's on the lower end of the hardwoods but higher than most softwoods.
Lovely axe collection u got in your shed... 🪓 I am looking for felling axe for my forestry belt scabbard, i just ordered not while ago from westcoast saw usa, just not sure what size will be best? 🤔

Are the stihl rs chains easy to sharpen as I've got .325 1.3mm chain on my 261c-m
Yes they're ace.
What size file do you use for the .325 chain
@gavinhankinson9158 A .325 chain uses a 3/16" round file. Grab a file with the metal guide flats on the sides. It helps. Stihl makes a kit in a roll up bag that has the files, depth gauges and some other goodies. Work getting it as a kit. You can have a SHARP chain and it won't cut good if the rakers (depth gauges) aren't filed down to .025".
Saya memiliki chain saw husqvarna 365 sp 2 unit Tetapi rusak bagian rumah bearing goyang, Bagaimana bapak cara memperbaikinya
I think you need a new crank case to fix that 👍
Good on ya Brother ! back making chips !
266 seemed quicker, but with a shorter bar. I'm wanting for my 266 to get back from being ported by randy in tn. Ought to be a ripper. Only saw I've ever sold that i regret is my jonsered 2166. Essentially a 365 special. That was a fantastic saw

I did watched nervous when u using your chainsaw with no PPE, with shorts... LOL I own 266SG heated handle version, i cannot find it online wiring diagram, i need to rewire properly... 😔 I did rebuild carb, new fuel line, it runs lovely now, but in short future will need to replace crank seals, its got air leak on one side...
These old school Husqvarna chainsaws are virtually impossible to get here in Australia, and if you’re lucky enough to find one in good condition you will pay top dollar for it 🙋♂️one of your subscribers.
Wow really!
@@walkerscountrylife Yes,a few up for sale occasionally but these saws are in very bad condition cosmetically and usually on their last leg mechanically and parts not available ,so a lot end up being scrapped 🥲
Glad to see you back. Just picked up a very clean 266xp on fleabay for £60! Cylinder will clean up but I've also got a brand new oem piston and cylinder to match. So it'll get the new and be a keeper for life 😂 Got a cheap as new 242xp the other day really cheap also👍😛
Wow that's a bargain!!! I love the 65/66 cc huskys. I'd really like a 242xp or a 42 special as well.
@@walkerscountrylife I only paid £49 for the 242xp that's nearly mint pistons absolutely perfect. Bargains are still out there😉

Hope all is well, have a good one James!
I bought back my father Stihl 044 back that he sold to a friend 20 years ago. For $250 USD so he could buy his MS440. I just was able to buy back the 044 for the same price plus he threw in a 25" bar with it. It runs beautifully and still has machining marks for the factory of the piston. She is a good ripping saw. Love the 044 best saw ever made. Oh forgot to say it is a 044 arctic model

@@AshleyWood-y5e no problem, would love to help!! Let's do something!
Are you touching the exhaust to determine whether the engine is running? Did the loud noise and blue smoke not give the game away? Why all the revving? Let her rip!! Doesn't say in the manual to play the throttle.
Just picked one up for 100 bucks . Has strong compression. Needs carb cleaned I suspect. I put little fuel in the cylinder. She fired up on the 4th pull.
You could have taken it all down with that length of a blade from the other side you're an idiot now you just made it harder on yourself to cut it all up it's easier when it's up in the air to cut it
I bet you paid for the sink anyway
Been debating between the 572xp, 500i and ms462c for firewood. Currently have a 272xp but want to switch to stihl for dealer support. Husqvarna dealers are disappearing all around me. Is 500i worth the premium?
@@mark5821 in a way it depends on how big your firewood is.. but in another way, imagine something with the power of a 390xp or dolmar 7900 that weighs the same as a 560xp!
7900 n 500i ar near identical weight fully dressed.
