I've got a 565, 365 X-torq with the transfers and muffler modded, and the 365 Special. Hard to pick a favorite, modded X-torq is the strongest, the 565 isnt far behind and has more low end. The Special is probably the toughest of the bunch. I worked at a mill where we had 365 Special powered winch for pulling miles of box link/ drag chain onto conveyors. Think real hard pulls, way longer than any wood cutting scenario. The winch broke quite often but the Special never blew up.
I have the 365SP,2165Jonesred & CS2172 XT version! Different beast with different mods just to see what works all three are very strong running saws! I do prefer the 2165 Jonesred but I just like the Jonesreds a little better!
Can I ask a question I've flung a aftermarket 365xt cylinder and piston on my husky got it buggered but when I pull it over with the spark plug it it's easy obv but when it I almost cant pull it atol not had it started yet and fuel is wanting to come out the decomp valve what have I done wrong
Nope total disaster was the crank bairing and a bit of metal from the baring came loose whilst I was trying to start it and took a decent sized chunk out the brand new cylinder which wasn't a cheap replacement
365 special for me sounded better and looked to cut smoother💪👍 I've got 2 362's 1 has a 50mm non oem cylinder on. 2 365's original edition oem cylinders 4 372's 3 with new oem cylinders, 1 has non oem 52mm 😂😂
Yeah I've got a 365 SP and a couple of 372 OE and really like them. Have yet to run a 365/372 XT

Wow!!
The OG seemed like the peppier and more fun saw.
That saw is so good! Punches well above 65cc!

Sounds like decomp leaking? Did you get it running?

I've got about 12 saws so one more right now wasn't exactly needed but would have been nice 😂
I think you have invented a Hybrid square file there M8🤘
The Walker Squaround ! 365 SP would be my choice, for the OG'ness
