Very cool guys, kindly it can print metal powder
bigger question is will they send a updated unit to scotty
Sorry Henry, but I dont feel any sympathy for you. Its your choice to put in all the hard work. You cant ship a broken unit to a youtuber then get annoyed when they highlight the shortcomings. Why should a youtuber spend hours and hours of their time to fix something you shipped that didnt work? They dont get paid for it, maybe hire an internal QA team? I think Scotty was bang on with his criticism .
As a small company toy maker - I'm 100% interested in something like this - FOR ME you'd eliminate the need for SLA and FDM and wondering about Mold Making services in one machine. The price is high but worth it IMO. You're combining the durability of FDM and the cleanliness of SLA. Although the volume is a little too small for me (I'd need an 8x8x10), I'd be interested to see how this performs and where the company goes in the future. Amazing! Wish you all the success.
4:01 just a question, this would print just fine? No problems at all?
These changes should be tested again by beta testers, not by the final consumer. The fact that 1 of 5 printers were bad (due to any reasons: transport for example) is a 20% failure rate on the final end. All these promised changes should be shown and tested in real life by people outside the company, not just in words. Good update on the project
Great job addressing the issues and the feedback and thanks for the update. But I have two points: 1. Once you create a company and a product and are advertising it through RUclips reviews I don't agree that you are "just 2 regular guys" anymore. You have new responsibilities and I'm not sure you get that yet. 2. It's great to beta test your product and learn from that but sending it to influencers is not the way to do that... Send it after you are done beta testing and fixed all of those issues. Overall great job though :)
Who TF is Scotty? Definitely sounds like he's not equipped for or interested in doing any kind of actual testing, just making a sensational video for clicks.
One tip: dont move your hands while you are talking...
That Scotty is a real dirt bag.
Finely divided anything is generally explosive (metals, talc, coffee creamers <we call it pyro helper> and corn, etc,...) Much care is needed in handling.
Can we just say how awesome it is that these guys are so new and responding to feedback like this?
Thanks for being open about the issues. I've been watching this product for some time now and ordered on the first day thx
I think giving the printer to content creators as beta testers is definitely a double edged sword. On one hand you get a ton of exposure for the kickstarter but they don't have the time to properly help you solve issues as they are on tight schedules to keep doing their jobs of producing content. A smaller very detail oriented team of beta testers would definitely yield better results for the actual improvement of the product as they would have the time to fully go through the process and work with you to solve these issues. Just my 2c
Great response
1 in 5 is still a failure rate of 20% I don't think its quite the win you make it out to be
you can still put the nylon powder inside the sifter for shipping, as long as you add enough packing material so it cant bang around inside the sifter.
Pretty much what I've thought all along, Scotty is a douchbag.
Never heard of Scotty, sounds like a tool though.
ONE, one is enough to cast doubt... I am interested in seeing if you fix your fails quick. No hammer shit. Doing it the right way sounds like its all a stretch goal...
Great presentation, amazing job. Wonder if you guys have different colors.
Some of the people that you invited to look over your tech really did you dirty. That sucks, shame on them.
Soon as you get that cost down buddy
The cleaning process needs work. It would be wise to tell your future customers that the two fan solutions you showed are grossly insufficient. It's troubling to think you're actually considering printing people's debridement boxes, considering how many defects could result at scale and making injection molding a reach goal instead of bare min standard, seeing how dangerous what it is meant to handle is. The particles will get everywhere, and most professional hoods are inadequate when handling metal powders - oof. They really need to be wearing a backup layer of PPE, disposable bunny suits, and properly rated face masks; they really need to drape off a completely enclosed plastic chamber, the suction needs to be routed to the proper filter, etc. Honestly, I would think about selling a proper PPE kit and shop set up alongside the printer as a baseline 'bare minimum' before going commercial, but that's just me.
It crazy that we are getting this kind of technology at home already!!! I might be able to get this one but will be trying to get the next one . Hope you guys knock it out of the park
I think this is giving out too much, hope you patented stuff
Wish you all the best. I am confident this will be a really cool product that opens the door to the exciting world SLS for us hobbyists.
I so excited to see where this goes, I’ll 100% be buying one of there’s when it’s ready
Hopefully you don't spend all your time reading comments... but... Scotty is Scotty. He's OK, I like him, but a little emotional and maybe comes across as a little unstable at times. He has admitted as much in older videos, so I don't believe I am saying anything he wouldn't agree with. But consider this, I saw his video first. I didn't know about the project until then. I went on (RUclips happily suggests all videos on this topic now lol) to watch others. And your own. And your kickstarter. All publicity is good publicity - especially when you are first trying to get noticed. I have not ordered one - yet - but likely will in the coming weeks. I'll likely follow up with an email, but reach out if you need any investment/production help. Seriously. As for your rebuttal, in the future just stick to your machine and your solutions. Never share private texts (even if others do) as it shows one as being less than trustworthy (would you like your private emails shared?). It's fine to acknowledge shortcomings found by others, but only focus on the facts not the personalities. Never take this stuff personally. Better to acknowledge issues discovered and your solutions. He said, she said never helps... Trust me, people take anything (like what Scotty said) with a huge grain of salt. No need to defend yourself. Most will assume it's just drama and overblown. Just friendly advice for next time. And yes, there will probably be a next time. I hope my comments can help you in the future. Good luck guys!! 🤖
I wouldn't worry. Scotty is a youtuber, not qualified in any way shape or form. It was clear he was trying to fabricate controversy for views. Keep up the good work guys! EDIT: it also appears he's botting comments on this video to defend himself lmao.
Yeah, couldn't stand him before......even more so now.
Awesome! Love what your team is doing :)
I am a design engineer working on the powder delivery method for a metal SLM printer, and I feel his pain. My company went away from augers for this reason.
Impressive response tbh, I fully expect to have to solve problems to be able to use such a cheap SLS printer
Keep it up! Excited to see a new player shake up the competition. You guys are clearly capable and qualified, im excited to see people like you pushing the industry forward.
Lmao I love that y'all get put on blast and then turn around and put them on blast and include receipts. Hell yeah. Don't let anyone talk trash and dismiss something that you've put so much into. Can tell that it is something you're super passionate about, especially Henry. It's MORE THAN okay to be pissed off when people devalue your efforts, Give 'em hell!
Can yoy stop moving your hands! Omg!
@1:40 you are completely right. It doesn't look nor feel like something that came out of a 3D printer. It looks like some kid made that in his sand box and got it to harden somehow.
Thank God you mentioned that I shouldn't download 3D models from McMasters to print them myself. I wouldn't have known NOT to do that 😏
Is it possible PA12 white?
I absolutely LOVE this response! “Yes. Some of our beta test results weren’t great. Here’s what we found. Here’s how we plan to fix it.”
Put me on the list.
So... It's a Chinese company or not?
Scotty is rude asf lmao, what a bch.
One of my concerns would be, how to have a smooth finish surface on SLS parts ?
Very good that you setup this honest answer and anyway that you gave visibility on the effort you are doing. However to be very honest and having seen the video of Scotty, I don’t think he said so strange things and even if maybe he was a bit too direct, things not different then what was said by other reviewers… he said that user applying the campaign should have known that the money was going to go to an in beta state product instead of going in the organization of industrial production of a ready thing as normal for kickstarter. On this very last point are you sure you were 100% transparent?
You lied and you tried to get scotty to push back his review of your overpriced garbage.

Love seeing people take ownership and admitting to mistakes. Shows character in your company and is something I highly value. I'm looking forward to support you guys!!!
Really impressed by the way you are responding to feedback! This is the type of transparency that all companies should strive for!
Blablabla, you asked for a review and you got an honest one. It's not Scotty's responsibility to beta test your product and give you a testers feedback free of charge.

My only issue, and this might be due to coloration: but everyting seems to have a...sandy texture? Not a big issue for bigger parts, but for miniatures it's horrible. Can anyone comment on how the surface area looks once primed?
