Добавлен 14 мар 2020
This channel involves flights in Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS) 2020. My first series will focus on doing a flight around the world in a general aviation aircraft using real world weather. Each video will represent one leg of the trip and will focus on flight planning, weather, fuel and aircraft capabilities. II will try to keep each episode under 60 minutes highlighting the planning, departure, interesting points along the way, and the arrival. It's a great chance to experience every pilots ambition of flying around the world so subscribe and join me for the adventure. I will also be doing tutorial videos on various aircraft in MSFS and exploring the features of new additions and mods.

What SIMBRIEF Profile did you use for the 737-800 to make this flight?
I used the PMDG 737-700 profile from flightsim.to
The waypoints don’t even exist anymore the way they are in this procedure. Things change in two years. There’s so many videos from 3 years ago but not much new stuff.
Waypoints are always changing, doesn’t really make a difference in how you setup and fly various procedures so even older videos are still relevant. Cheers!
Great video🎉
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it.
TDS heard you (sooner than you expected, I'm sure): Integration with Navigraph is now available! Great video, the best tutorial I've seen to learn how to operate del TDS GTN750Xi, thanks for it
Thanks, I did a video on the Navigraph integration if you want to check that out.
Can you please tell me if you can plan a VFR approach to a specific runway using VNAV in the 750. I know you can with the G1000. Thanks for your time!
Yes, just load a visual approach for any runway and there will be a final fix with an associated altitude that will generate a VNAV path.
Thanks for your reply. So I guess you need to wait and load the visual approach after getting airborne. I was thinking you needed to subscribe to the premium version for this function to work. I will try it later today. Thank you!
Yes, you do need the premium version to use visual approaches.
Could you let me know how you're able to feather the prop? I can't feather it after I shut the engine master off.
Are you using the DA62X mod?
@@banditflightsimmer6446 no, but I also heard that Diamond has a feather lock.
It’s been a while but I think the DA62X mod from flightsim.to allows the engine to automatically feather for a failure or shutdown in flight.
Thank you so much, after weeks of trying and watching other people's videos and failing every time I finally succeeded because I watched your video!
Awesome, glad it worked out for you. Keep practicing.
Many thanks. I found this very informative and I like the way you explain everything very clearly. I note you have made an updated video to include new functionality, so I'm now going to watch that. I've just discovered the CJ4 and am liking it a lot. Again, thanks. 😀
Thank you. They have definitely improved the CJ4 since the initial release of the sim. Enjoy flying it, cheers!
What I can’t hear you speak up
Turn up your volume.
How do you put the AP on the ADI?
There is a click spot at the top of the ADI to switch to the AP
My version does not look the same as yours. Has it gotten worse. Couldn’t put in waypoint details!
Make sure you have the G1000 NXi installed, it is free in the MarketPlace.
How to transfer the flight plan to the 430 ?
If you enter it in the PMS GTN 750 it should show up automatically, otherwise you would have to enter it in the 430 separately.
I bought it but almost nothing works in my cockpit, engine 2 does not want to start and when it does it runs irregularly, the AP does not work on the Lochitec device and so on, for me a bad model and a waste of money
That's too bad. For me it has been a great addon. The engines are very finnicky, you have to follow the checklist exactly or you will damage the engines and you have to lean them properly when flying. Hopefully you can get it figured out, Just to repair the engines and try again.
Do you know how to set up ILS for various airport landing spots that are in the middle of a multi-destination route? Ex: A flight from Mia to Las Vegas, with Houston in the middle. I know how to setup the approach coming into Vegas. But I want to land in Houston, which is between the origin and final destination. I can't figure out how to set the ILS frequency for that airport, when provided by its ATC. So I always have to land manually for Houston.
You should go to the route page on the FMC and change the destination to Houston. Then load the ILS approach from the ARE page for the ILS you want to fly. This will automatically set the frequency for that ILS. You can also go to the RADNAV page on the FMC and manually enter the frequency but then you will have no fix info for that approach in your FMC.
what do you use to select 43000 feets in 3 seconds?
I use a device called the Class Echo. shakeprint.com/
I have the GTN 530 or similar, how do i get the 750 to replace it?
The GTN 750 is a payware addon form pms50.com/msfs/
@@banditflightsimmer6446 Thanks for your reply. IU have the paid version of the PMS GTN 750 but I don't know how to swap out the GTN 530/430 out for the 750.
When you select the aircraft, under liveries, you have different selections based on which GPS setup you wish to use.
@@banditflightsimmer6446 thank you that worked perfectly.
Your videos are always excellent. I’ve been watching them almost exclusively lately! Love how much you try to share and teach, they’re so informative. Really hope to see you continue making them especially with MSFS2024 on the horizon. Would love to see a video to KFUL! Hope you’re doing well, Bandit!
That’s for the kind words, glad you enjoy the videos. I’m looking forward to MSFS 2024, will definitely be do some videos for that. I’m guessing KFUL is near you, I love doing GA flying in Southern California. Cheers
@@banditflightsimmer6446 I’d say KFUL is still my local airport, though I’m not as close to it as I used to be. Grew up under the final approach for it, saw some awesome aircraft flying in when I lived there!
Merci pour cette vidéo.
De rien, content que vous l'ayez aimé.
Great video. The whole series is great
Glad you enjoy it!
I turned avionics on and the screens never turned on. Everything else did 😟
The only thing I can think of is that you selected the wrong livery. The liveries are specific to the type of GPS
@@banditflightsimmer6446 which one is for the GTN 750?
The one that says PMSGTN750
Excellent Video, very informative.
Glad it was helpful!
Whats' your next video?
Excellent - thank you. 👏
Glad you enjoyed it.
How to change the avionics in this plane?
When you select the aircraft then select liveries, they have different avionics selection for each livery.
Thank you, It was a typical newby-tihing!! Did not find it in the manual.
Another beautiful video Bandit, great that you take the time to teach others, I also learned something from it. Thank you, good luck and see you in the next video because I still have to learn a few things about the TDSNXi 750, beautiful instrument, good luck.
Thanks. Yes, it’s a great add on. Enjoy learning the 760. Cheers!
Are you able to use this software from the pulldown menu like you can with the PMS5 version? Can you mix them such as using inside the plane like your doing now and then using PMS5 from the pulldown menu. I like using the autopilot features in the PMS5 version.
As far as I know you can't use the TDS externally like you can with the PMS.
Just as I was struggling to setup my most recent purchase. So much options. Only problem is I get two white 750’s in the C310. Seems bugged somehow. Maybe because I also have the PmS50 installer?
On some aircraft you need to remove the PMS GTN for the TDS to work. Aircraft like the 414 allow you to choose in the livery selection. Cheers!
Thanks for letting me into your cockpit, captain. Though I did not understand everything in detail the first time watching, you made me realize the complexity of flight procedures and this beautiful aircraft in a calm, comfortable and professional manner. The best way to learn and to keep interest in flying and enjoying the sim. Thank you again for this great tutorial flight!
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it.
One curious thing is that the TO/GA button doesn't work if you have AP OFF...that's a bit annoying...(it works for takeoff), if you're approaching (AP Off), and press TOGA to going to "missed approach", simply the TO/GA button does not engage...it's very confusing.
It should work, as long as the flight directors are on which would give you TOGA flight director guidance without the autopilot. There are also some other requirements for TOGA to be available such as radar altitude.
yeah...but . If you can, do the test...A/T on and AP OFF...try press TOGA as if you were really going for "missed approach"...it doesn't work (unless the AP is on)@@banditflightsimmer6446
Sensacional
👍
whats the link of this mod ?
You don’t need the mod anymore, it’s built into the simulator
@@banditflightsimmer6446 oh thanks for the reply ! altho you typed in everything manually ,, is there a way to import the simbrief flight plan automatically ?
Yes, Make sure you enter your Simbrief number in the FMC Index, page 2, settings. To retrieve it go to the Index page, select Route Menu then FPLN RECALL and it will retrieve your latest Simbrief plan. Cheers!
@@banditflightsimmer6446 very helpful ! thanks
Another great flying lesson for us wannabe pilots. Thanks for the latest installment. Looking forward to more! Cheers
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it
Very nice indeed ! How do you operate the thrust reversers?
Thanks. I have them mapped to the reverse levers in my throttle.
Extremely helpful. Learning curve immediately straightened. Cheers.
Glad it helped!
I’ve gone to the PMS5 website to order with no luck. After going to the registration page, I never get an email for password instructions and I checked my spam folders with no luck.
Perfeito.
👍
Great flight, sir, quite thorough and informative. Also, your voice reminds me of Neil Peart’s. Between that and the engine sounds, this video was ASMR level of soothing hahah. You’ve gained a new subscriber.
Thanks, appreciate the kind words. Neil Peart, a true icon!
@@banditflightsimmer6446 No doubt, RIP. And you’re welcome, keep up the good work!
Nice balance between attention to details without going to deep, was clear you are a real pilot
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video. Cheers!
Excellent video. a curiosity: How did you manage to taxi and find the park box so quickly?
Thanks. I had parked at the same spot on other flights so I knew where to go.
It’s a challenge to learn well, luckily we have your excellent tutorial to learn from ! I was also thinking to fly radios only, it’s not really practical in today’s modern world…also hard finding maps required.
Thanks again. VOR nav is possible, you just have to do a bit more when planning your flight plan.
Best tutorial of Learjet 35A I've seen so far ! Now it's my turn to practice
Thanks, have fun!
Well done ! I just bought this aircraft, a lot to learn :) I've got the same checklist, it's the best I've seen so far...all the stuff you need. My plan is to follow the bold text, skip all the test and get up in the air quickly.
Yea, that's pretty much what I did. Cheers!
Excellent video. The autopilot appears to be similar to Jusflight's BAe146. In the BAe146, I found that once I engage vertical speed, I can stay in autopilot and adjust the vertical speed by using the GTN750's autopilot. I know this is "cheating" but makes things easier. This plane appears to be worth it's price.
Yes, it is worth the price. I have also been using the maneuver button to adjust the pitch to the desired vertical speed. I can’t wait to see the final release. I usually not a big fan of early releases but this early access flys very well. Cheers!
Great vid! One question: what kind of Replay app are you using? I do need a recommendation please.
Thanks. I use SkyDolly, available at flightsim.to .
cannot listen to two voices at once talking at the same volume!
Yes, I'm aware. I don't have a volume mixer but I think I have it figured out for the next time I use VATSIM. Cheers!
Now this was one hell of a flight man! Wonderful!! When I see the workload that you handle so smoothly, and catching all the ATC, on hard to hear radios etc.. Wow! And at the same time explaining to us what & why you are doing what you do.. Impressive! Bandit! How would you compare the same flight with the CJ4 ? Thanks! :)
Thanks! The CJ4 would be a bit more challenging since there is no auto throttle. I'm flying the Flysimware Lear 35A lately and it is a real handful. I plan of doing a video on it very soon. Cheers!
I started out do around the world in a Cessna 150. I flew from Radville SK which is my local airport in real life. I calculated the weight of a life raft and a survival suit which would be required when crossing large bodies of water. Added in the weight of survival rations and that was my baggage weight. My life raft flew as a passenger and the rest went in the back. I put in my own weight of 238 which I was at the time. The poor 150 was pretty much all up. I used real world weather. I flew north and across the north to Greenland. Around rather than across Greenland and over to Iceland. Down to the Shetlands and the length of the British Isles. Across France and into Germany to Zwiebrukken where I stopped because in the real world spring came and work intervened on my flying time. In my travels I also went on you tube and searched out the places I landed at and took the time to actually computer visit the places. I always made comments on those videos and told them what I was doing. I got a lot of positive feedback from people in those places and it made it like I was actually doing the trip. Never any auto pilot or dilated time. It took me just as much time as I would have used if I had actually made the trip in real life. I do intend t o pick up where I left off but I am building a Flight sim Cockpit for the rest of the flight.
Awesome, that is a very cool way to make the trip more real. Hope you finish the trip soon. Cheers!
Congratulations !!! Excellent tutorial. During the cruise flight, what should be the position of the auxiliary fuel pumps? low, off or high? thanks.
Thanks. Sorry for the late reply, just finished a busy work stretch. During cruise I believe you can leave them off for normal ops. Cheers!
I Appreciate this thorough walk-through of the checklist including all the test & systems, Also as previous said, the features in the GTN 750 was a real bonus for me. But on top of it all the way you talk us through the whole flight from start to finish in a clear calm way is outstanding imo. Love your videos! :) Thanks Bandit.
Thanks very much, glad you enjoyed the content.
During checklist (from 7.05) you said CO2. The CO detector is for the detection of Carbon Monoxide CO. CO2 is NOT poisonous it is plant food! To say CO2 clearly demonstrates the effect of propaganda, demonisation and indoctrination about CO2. Incidentally CO2 does not drive weather nor climate.
Thanks for the chemistry lesson, I meant to say CO.
incredibly helpful Video / Tutorial! Also great that u do the GA stuff alot & that you are a real world pilot as well! Maybe you could not delete the waypoint because it was the next in an active flightplan. Maybe switching to HDG mode first, then edit and then back! Not that i know much, just an idea.. Anyways, thanks for all your great videos, and happy new year! :)
Thanks! Yes, that is one way to do it. Cheers!
